  • We thought it best to take a step back from the “deep dive” into the weeds style format on specifics of the golf swing, and give you all something to work with in the golf swing from the bird’s eye view. If you’re trying to better your golf swing and are looking for a place to begin, this is the video for you.

Playing golf for 40 years, Hcp 9, I decided to completely rebuild my golf swing by myself over the last 2 years studying about 20 different teachers on the internet. By now I have saved a collection of about 2000 youtube videos. The 25 youtube videos from Elite golf plus the 10 videos they did together with Milo Lines is THE ONE and ONLY golf swing instruction you will ever need. Just brilliant, pure gold- for free. For the first time in my life and I am now 65 years old, having seen it all, I now have an athletic gold swing that works. Thank You!

    Elite Coaches,
Your focus on chest rotation creating the room in the down and through swing, after the pelvis drop, is an absolute clarifier. Can feel the difference, much more efficient than trying to create the rotation with the pelvis driving. Very cool refocus. Dynamite.

    Hi Guys,
I’ve been working with this for a few weeks now. I am familiar with a lot of different swing concepts and this is amazing in totality. I can tell you that I had a couple 310 carries on trackman yesterday. In the last 5 years I haven’t had any carries over 290 and most were about 270. Beautiful thing is that I’m not closed to maxed out with my mechanics. The reason for this comment is that in one of these videos, you had a sort of throw away line that said that your hips move opposite of the rib sway in the backswing and downswing. I, personally have had issues getting hung back and late forward… I see others going toward target with hips and shoulders but back swinging with arms now they are early and stuck forward. My epiphany is that when you rib sway away from target and get the sacrum going toward target, it IS the sequence maker. You are already as far forward (lower body) as you will be at the end of your backswing so now you can pivot around the post as the sacrum comes back around!!! The added benefit is that when upper and lower body go different directions, then it is like tensioning a rope before you swing it. It is the only good way of setting you up to use centripetal force!
Long story long…., I think that this would be great as the focus of a video. The videos I saw this in was in passing. Thanks, again,
    Alan

I love how simple you guys like to keep the learning process. I can remember when getting instruction in the 90s, 2000s it was all about the "secret move". Golf instruction was treated like Bass fishing and not letting people know your technique or spot to fish. Bottom line is - you and your body have to learn to move athletic and make athletic moves. Thanks for getting these going! Good luck!

Golf tuition has changed so much since I started playing many years ago. There is a more detailed bio mechanics and systems based approach these days coupled with improved technology of course, which is my opinion makes learning the swing much easier as lets face it the golf swing has literally so many moving parts. I know I put a lot of wear and tear into my lead shoulder after years of flailing at the ball with an arm driven swing and not much lower body use. I would expect that a more correct bio mechanical swing would reduce the chance of injury. Keep up the great work guys.

As someone who has developed a "stand up to make room" move through impact, the piece about dropping the pelvis, lowering the sternum and then upper spiraling out was very enlightening! Just watched your presentation. Excellent presentation. Just one suggestion. As you ended the presentation you were asked to review the arms and body/chest/sternum movements. You referenced the arm movements as a ferris wheel which to me says more of a robotic back and forward going along your sides. Instead of referencing both arms swinging forward more in the direction of midline/sternum. I understand exactly what you were referencing. Again an excellent presentation.

I'm a 42 year old former NCAA golfer and I've just discovered this whole world of RUclips golf instruction. There's some really good stuff being given out for free but this might be the most complete, concise, and easy to follow videos for the average beginner to intermediate. The chest rotation piece is just not talked about enough and you really hit the nail on the head with the sternum discussion. I'm certainly going to recommend this to a few friends of mine who are taking in a lot of information and not getting much better. It doesn't hurt having that kid and his swing to demonstrate this stuff. Hope that kid is or was playing college golf.

How do we work on the up and away after squatting and impact. I think a key thing here is to have the club behind you.
When I was doing what you are describing well , I remember I was really late to getting the club through. Please correct me and or point me in a direction I can hear more about it.

Our favorite is the front loader progression - if you scan here you may find a “progressions” short that helps clear that up

Love your instructional videos. Got to you guys through Milo who also has some excellent content. I have started to apply your concepts to very good effect. Thanks for the contribution your content is making to my enjoyment of the game.

Great video… I have a question about the drop… When I try to do it, I feel like the arms/hands/club kick out and over the plane too much. Do you have a fix?

There’s many ways to get that done - I would browse our shorts and become acquainted with our many posts on “shallowing the club.” May be easier than explaining here 👍🏼
