This has performed exactly as desired ruclips.net/user/postUgkx8G49mV71sAzUl9shXyLW-r3XgHH9EVh1 . Basically, instant hot water instead of waiting up to two minutes as it was before. I have had this installed almost exactly one year now and just replaced the anode which is pictured. I pulled it out at six months and cleaned the heating element and removed debris. I would recommend a cleaning every six months and an anode replacement yearly. A mild citric acid and water solution soak really helps clean the heating element and tank. It must be fully disassembled to do the cleaning and that is not difficult but could have been made easier with a couple of design changes but no big deal.
Well explained and another great job..
Why do you have to drain it ?
Careful when removing the old heater because if you hit it too hard you can crack the copper tank around the flange, especially if the tank is very old. Check for leakage through pinholes around the area when finished.
xl
No need to drain all it avoids air lock that way
Really helpful video Thankyou
WhAt element you put did you say to prevent the air lock?
A good plumber would fix that old one with some gorilla glue and a spot of solder.
Very good
Great job mate
Nice job mate
I’ve just moved into a property that has one of these in the airing cupboard and a Worcester boiler in the garage.. do I need both? How much approx will it cost to get it taken out please.
Have you got shares in a paste company...?
If my emerson is tripping the fushbox when switched on could that be the problem ??
Yes
What paste did you use to seal?
He doesn't explain anything.
@@dreamdiction it's prob boss white for the seal paste
How much does this cost ?
i hope you reduced the temperature of the new heater from the max setting - 70 degrees! thats far too hot. should be 55-60 degrees.
Got an airlock any help??
Probably a bit late but if you have a mixer tap hole your hand over the spout to stop the water and turn the cold tap on, this will push water up the hot pipe, pushing the airlock out.
@@KelDG3 thanks for the reply, found this trick online in the end, and after a few attempts hot water back on! Thanks.
Nao precisa esvaziar o boiler .
Hi mate. In the UK, should this be for a spark of plumber? The spark has just left and told us to call his mate. Charged us £50 to tell us it is the heater though.... Haha
Plumber
How much cost a job lk that?
No need to drain down whole tank
