What kind of moron would push dislike on a true legendary performance. This video brought back great memories. Hats off to Lonesome Dave performing this tour while terminally ill. The stuff true rock legends are made of.
AGREED! Foghat ROCKS!
Dave is singin great we miss you Dave
That's one reason I've been a Foghat fan for almost 50 years straight ahead Rock N Roll.
I saw foghat & Boston together both on they're 1st tours...Both legends.
This man is a legend....he is sick in this video......he performed up to the last 4 months of his life. A true rock legend!
RIP Dave... that was a great performance
cool
He is buried with his wife at the same cemetery I will be laid to rest in the future.
I didn’t know that! Ty!
Right on brother! Lonesome Dave was the man!
inspite of his illness Dave still did what he loved doing most. Is painfully obvious he wasnt well at this time but in true rock star fashion he still rocked. Seen them at the Hollywood Sportatorium in South Florida and Summers on the Beach on Ft Lauderdale Beach and they tore it up every time. Rest in Peace Dave and Rod you guys rock.
I saw Foghat 4 times. Dave and his wife, Linda died 2 months apart in 2000. So sad.
The man sure could still belt it out right till the end..
Foghat was one of the very best concert bands of the 70's. Saw them 12 times before 1980.
Lucky
Saw them in '77 in Pine Bluff Arkansas with Boston!!
Saw them in ‘78 Baton Rouge and will seeing them again this July 14, 2023, 45 years later🎸🎸🎸
Foghat - one of the greatest 70s/80s acts so under-rated!!
Rock and Roll sure helped me through Marine Corps Boot Camp in the Early 80s. Singing all these songs in my head kept me sane
One of my favorite bands growing up thank's for the memories
RIP Lonesome Dave. I grew up on these guys.
One of the greatest rock songs of all time. When it came out I must have listened to it a thousand times and it still captures me. Great performance here for sure. 👴🏻💪🏻✌🏻
This album is my Soudtrack. So many great memories Rockin it 🤘🎸🔥🤘🎸🔥🤘
I saw them six times between 1980 and 1997❤. Continue to Rest in Peace Dave and Rod 😢
Utterly amazing that Dave kept his vocals throughout his career.
67 yrs old and still love Foghat, saw 2 times in San Antonio TX
Dave was the real deal.💕💕🌄➕➕🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅
I saw Foghat with the Johnny Van Zandt band and the Outlaws in Boston during the 80's.
I went mostly for Foghat. I knew the Outlaws music and respect and enjoyed them very much. Can't remember much of the JVZ band but it was quite an evening of great R&R.
My R&R band use to play "Fool For The City".
Foghat was never a studio band. Guys knew how to do it on stage. Love the sound.
Jarmo Anttila They were a GREAT live band and knew how to jam. I remember all of their songs were something like 6 minutes long on the record and they just kept jamming in concert. Folks got their money's worth, for sure. Too early for Lonesome Dave and Rod Price to go. Great work, though, by Bryan Bassett to fill in and move forward.
Yep when need to get on ROAD FEVER ... Thoz who dislike probably got ear bleed!
Wowzza...bad ass....slide is kick ass and Dave just is a true rock and roll legend
This video makes me so happy and so sad at the same time . It's good to see Lonesome Daves probably last gig. He clearly loved being alive.
He still had his sense of humor even when he was in decline. When I saw him, he said "this song is from 1978. Does anyone remember 1978?. I don't what was it like? 😄
Yes, lol. I think i remember 1978. Still in high school. I grew up with kiss, but let tell you, i loved foghat. I must have seen the at least 18 times. First time was Shreveport Loiusiana in 78'. An all time favorite and still enjoy listening to any of their tunes.
What a voice....love the melodies he writes and sings
RIP Lonesome Dave and All the original Members of Fog Hat &
Long Live Rock and Roll!
Hats off to the guitarist, playing those Rod Price licks. 2nd greatest slide player.
Who’s first?
Rod absolutely is my fav🎸player, of all time

That is Rod Price.
Amazing band. Miss them !!
One of the greatest rock songs EVER! RIP Lonesome Dave!
a true rocker, great song, great band, no more need be said.
Thanks for sharing this amazing video a total flashback of emotions and memories of my recovery escaping my teenage years !!
Wow what a performance! Wish I had saw them in my younger days.
Sadly, this performance was part of Lonesome Dave's final tour with the band.....He passed away, from complications of cancer, February 7, 2000.
As an Old Rock Dog myself.. touring most of my life.. I would love to spend my last moments on stage !!! Heavens band just got a whole bunch better for sure.. RIP Lonesome Dave !!
Saw them on the East Coast (U.S.) in 1979 when I was 14
I had been playing guitar for about 5 years at that point...
Lonesome Dave blew my mind, he was an extremely accomplished guitar player in his own right and was an amazing singer front man
Foghat will always have a place in my musical heart
His voice sounds so ballsy for a rocker in his late 50's, habrd to believe he would be dead within a year....r.i.p. Dave
dave is so magnificent and nothing can stop him hes a singng monster i just wish i could have seen em just 1 time
This song helped me through when I was in the Navy in the late 70s.
I was lucky enuff to see them play live 6 times
RIP Dave, thank you for the memories and the R&R
lonesome dave was who i wanted to be
soulfulimpressions I learned how to play slide guitar by copying Rod Price on Foghat.
Best band ever. My all time favourite band.
I loved this band growing up and there were so many cool songs that never made the radio, Boogie Motel for instance! Only saw them one time in Ybor City with Foreigner, EPIC! I love Foghat!
Lonesome dave im from 1990 but i love foghat your legacy is still alive im 27 now and still rocking on to this song and a lot of more foghat songs thankyou for al those great songs keep on rocking in heaven
You gotta love Lonesome Dave👍👍👍
Saw these guys in the early to mid 80's splitting the bill with the Outlaws in Roanoke Va.....Awesome show...Also saw a Lonesome Dave version of the band in the early 90's at Johhny's Tavern in Roanoke...A little hole in the wall club......They blasted some ear drums in that little place...The same evening Atlanta Rhythm Section played an outdoor gig in Roanoke.....We caught 2 great bands the same night..Now,Roanoke is lucky to have a touring band play there
Foghat and lonesome Dave is one of the greatest slide blues rock n roll bands to hit the music seen ever
God bless you Dave. Rest easy.
One word (sort of) - WOW! Legend! saw the 'Hat' back at the Capitol Theatre Passaic (think it was 76) they headlined over Rush and Montrose (what a freaking concert that was!)
Brian Bassetts performance is a tribute to Rod Price
if you like guitar rock they were it
During the 70s, my friends would scoff at that band, but after a few beers etc, they loved them. Funny how that worked. Honest boogie rock wasn't it?
Foghat ruled the 70's
1977 Bayfront Center St. Pete Fla. Great show!
The very first rock concert l seen was Foghat,Rare Earth, and Ace who had the hit How Long l paid five dollars for that concert it was in the mid seventies Foghat blew me away they were so good that l saw them again two of my favorite bands back in the seventies were hands down Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult which l seen also in concert Foghat had some of the best slide guitar l ever heard beside the song Slow Ride and before Foghat there were in Savoy Brown l love the album Looking in
"Stone Blue"
Wind tearin' through the backstreet, I hear the rhythm of my heart beat,
Rain blowin' to my face, I'm tired of being in the wrong place.
Blues knockin' on my back door, I can't jump from the second floor,
Turn up the radio higher and higher, rock and roll music set my ears on fire.
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
Laid off work and I can't be free, I need some rock 'n' roll therapy.
Put on a 45 and let the needle ride, jukebox jumps and I'll be satisfied.
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
Oh, let me ride on your mystery train, ride through the night in the pourin' rain.
Rock and roll in my soul, got me losin' control, let it roll!
Stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through,
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
Rock and roll in my soul, got me losin' control,
Let it roll, let it roll, let it roll, let it roll!
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
(Stone blue) Walkin' on a backstreet,
(Stone blue) I hear the rhythm of my heartbeat.
(Stone blue) Pick up the beat 'n' start to run,
(Stone blue) I'll be home before the mornin' sun.
(Stone blue) Rain blowin' to my face,
(Stone blue) I'm tired of bein' in the wrong place.
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
When I was stone blue, rock and roll sure helped me through.
Turn up my radio, turn it up, yeah, higher and higher,
Turn it up, turn it up, whoo, yeah, higher and higher.
You gotta help me through - you gotta help me through,
You gotta help me through - you gotta help me through,
You gotta help me through - you gotta help me through,
You gotta help me through - you gotta help me through.
When I was stone blue, when I was stone blue,
Gotta help me through, help me through...
I miss Lonesome Dave
Is it just me, or does bryan basset actually look like rod price from like 20 years ago.......looking at him, its almost as if he's a walking talking tribute to rod......crazy. and his style.....like he studied the man.
I think if you thumb down a song you'd better ID who you are and why.. There is just NO reason not to love Foghat and this performance.
TRUTH!!!!
One of the first 5 albums I ever owned. Foghat ain't foghat without lonesome Dave .... sorry.
man this brings back memories i loved this album
I’m not sure why Foghat doesn’t get the credit they’ve always deserved At least not in the states. They had plenty of hits, were fabulous in concert and produced a lot of radio music. They were huge back in the day but you don’t hear much from so called critics 😂 Wait…… I almost forgot what a GD joke the R&R HOF is ☺️ It’s ok though we know what we saw and heard.
Seen Foghat in Evansville, IN at Roberts Stadium back in 1980, they put on a dynamite concert that night. After the concert I couldn't hear for 2 days.
True success to pursue your passion until the end. Inspirational.
Rocked till.he dropped the man the myth the legend
I was lucky enough to see these guy live in Springfield, Missouri in 1973!
one of my all time fav. bands i seen them 7 times live and got to meet them the last time in olympia was the sh*t Rod the Bottle some of the tastest slide playing since 76 till now stone blue terraphine blues just timeless music that sounds as great as it did then Rip Lonesome Dave&Rod the bottle Price. But i think playing and touring w/o these greats is just not right
Thee best. Nobody can compare
can"t believe not in rock hall of fame
Ah yes, my day is now complete.
Best Front man that Band has ever had!
Rod Price is my favorite slide guitarist.

Not to mention the precursor to Foghat , Savoy Brown!!!
Real music.. just listen

Verry verry Gooooööööd!
Brian Bassett does a great job here but is no Rod the Bottle.
R.I.P. Eddie van Halen.
Our generation. Of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s was the Best Of Rock and Roll, Metal Times of All music
History. I wouldn’t change any of it for the world of Shit we have to listen to in the 2000’s. It just plain Ass SUCKS!!!!
Love Dave so much, but you can tell he wasn't doing well at this point...So sad.
