What is HK flour ? Can I substitute with other flour if I can't get HK flour
HK flour is a superlite flour usually used for making HK type of steamed buns but you can substitute it with cake or top flour
Hi, can I know whether there will be a difference in texture of the lotus paste if I don't use maltose? Thanks.
I don't think texture will be affected but will definitely be less sweet and will be white in colour.

Thank you for your feedback. Glad that you guys enjoyed your Kueh Salat. Yes by all means make your pandan lotus paste. You can modify whatever you like but I've not try making pandan lotus paste. Maybe you can add concentrated pandan juice to it and mix and fry until paste becomes dry.

They are melon seeds

Taste will be different if you use honey but it's up to you.
What is maltose, its made from material? Is it taste sweet? How if we don't add maltose? Thankyou. I'll wIt the answer.
Maltose is malt sugar and yes it's sweet. You don't have to use maltose if you can't find it . Just use sugar to taste.
