Dr. B You have made me a very happy woman. I watched this video about a week ago and started the skull thumping immediately doing it 2 or 3 times every day with no results. I have also been taking the Benfotiamine 3 times per day as you suggested. Until today I was not getting results and was so disappointed. Then a few minutes ago after years of hissing and whooshing sounds in my head I did the 20 thumps 8 times and the tinnitus just disappeared. I turned the fans and tv off and sat in my chair in glorious silence with tears in my eyes. I can hear better and feel calmer. If you were here I would give you a big, big hug. You're the best! So anyone who has tinnitus don't give up. Keep on thumping. It really works! Thank you Dr. B from the bottom of my heart.

I've had severe tinnitus for 56 years. Yesterday, I rated it an 8 (it's been at that level since the day it began). I did the tapping 4 -5 times yesterday, including once just before bedtime. There was no change yesterday. This morning, I couldn't believe it was almost gone (rated a 1). It has remained at that level all day. I've continued to do the tapping technique. This is beyond amazing. How do I say Thank You for something as life-changing as this?

Excuse this long comment but these things needed needed be said: I started at 10 and after I did this once; I was a 1 for about 30 seconds, then back to a 10. Doing it again for 8 reps ... I'm from a 10 to a 2 or 3 for almost 3 mins but it is coming back slowly. After 5 mins, its about a 5, but after that back to 10. My tinnitus has been with me for over 20 years. It has evoled from high pitch every so often, slowly over a couple of years, it was 24-7. After a "widow-maker" heart attack 2-1/2 years ago, it went away for a time, almost a year. Then, it slowly started returning, but it is a wooshing sound now and seems to be my own heartbeat. Doc says its nothing to worry about, but I actually started to cry because I could not sleep at all one night. I can totally understand how someone can go nuts with this problem 😢 I'm going to keep trying this and hopeful/prayerful that it will go away. 😊

I did this regularly during one week, but no difference, then I kept on with 3 or 4 times/week, but no difference.
But suddenly after some weeks I woke up one morning and felt different, and noticed that it was totally gone!

Back story: I have bad hearing because of playing loud drums in my younger years and beyond, without proper protection. As my hearing as declined, ringing in my ears has increased. Over the past 2 years it has gotten progressively worse, to a degree that was becoming even more of a distraction. Now: Over the past three days - literally - I began doing this 30-second technique, maybe twice a day. At the present time I now have to stop everything and actually "listen" to see if I have ringing in my ears. At times it is a bit louder, almost like before, but as a whole the ringing has decreased by roughly 70%! Dr. Berg, may God bless you for your work. Thank you.

The tinnitus is my companion since I came back from France four years ago. I am a physiotherapist and I always had the idea the tinnitus started, because my neck muscles were extremely stressed when I got back to work after such a long time, although no doctor would believe me that. Actually at the very point we are tapping, there are two trigger points of the M. Semispinalis capitis! Even as I sit here and write, the sound decreases a little bit. I will continue to tap along and give the exercise to all my tinnitus patients! This is a miracle!!! Thank you so much for sharing. A big hug from Germany. 😘

I’ve had tinnitus my whole life. When I was in elementary school I remember asking my mom what that sound was. It varies in volume & pitch, but it’s always there, interfering with conversations, lyrics, PA announcements & the TV. I go to sleep with thunder storm sounds so I can focus on something besides the ringing. I’ve even considered hearing aids. I tried this but didn’t notice a change. I’m going to keep at it in hopes that I can finally experience silence for the first time in 60 years. Thank you, Dr. Berg!

I have had tinnitus for about 19 years. It started loud and sudden for me. At the time, I was terrified, truly believing that I was going deaf. After about 3 weeks and many regular hearing tests(because my naive doctor told me I had to have damaged my hearing) I realized my regular hearing was still intact, I could simply, additionally, hear this incessant ringing. After I got my first cell phone with apps I got a frequency generator app and found the frequency that 'disappears' to me because it's the same one in my head. 13,800 hz. I turned it on from my phone in secret. EVERYONE in earshot went crazy! I told them that was what I heard 24/7 loud enough that I hear it over yelling and loud music. That being said, I've tried this technique a few times over the last 5 years to no avail. But like the old saying goes, it doesn't hurt to keep trying, so I will. I REALLY MISS TRUE QUIET. I'll update if it 'helps down the line'.

I’ve had ringing in my ears for the past 56 years maybe even longer. The intensity of the sound varies throughout the day but the worst times are at night when you’re trying to go to sleep. Before trying your technique I would rate the severity of my ringing at six. After after doing the technique I noticed a slight improvement so my rating would be a five right now.

Keep sticking with Dr. Berg's method for a while to see if it will work for you. If it doesn't then you can try Dr. Mandell's (motivationaldoc is his channel's name) techniques for dealing with tinnitus as he has about 3 or 4 different techniques. I think the different techniques are maybe because the cause might be different for each person. You can also get the benfotamine Dr. Berg suggested as that might help.

Frank, it probably seems worse at night because there aren’t as many other sounds as during the noise of the day. If it interferes with your getting to sleep, I’ve used “white noise” of which there are many long-playing selections on RUclips, to camouflage the tinnitus. Here’s to a good night 👍🏽

I first noticed a problem with tinnitus while teaching school, but when I retired in 2016, it became apparent that it was getting worse. Last week, I was watching your video in my parked car before going to the gym. The sound was an 8 or more....it has been getting more annoying every day so I started your finger drumming technique every day repeatedly (20 drums 10x or more throughout the day) now for a week. I am so HAPPY to report that it is working!!! It is down to about a 3. I just received the supplements you recommended and started them this morning, taking the Taurine (1000 mg) on an empty stomach followed by the Benfotiamine (250mg). I am praying the tinnitus will eventually go away even more. Thank you so much Dr. Berg for this technique! I always learn so much from you.

Hi andrea. I recently (by which i mean about 10 months ago, so not too recently) developed tinnitus and wanted to share what helped me. There's a decent presence in the literature suggesting a relation between insulin sensitivity and tinnitus (78% of people with tinnitus are insulin resistant, if i recall correctly). I found that limiting insulin spikes throughout the day and, more broadly, pursuing a diet designed to treat insulin resistance has helped to GREATLY diminish my tinnitus from where it was originally, to the point where I now forget that I have it most of the time. By all means, if this method works for you, keep using it! I just thought I'd share an additional tool, especially because you can make the most progress with tinnitus right at the onset. Additionally, I've found that during the 2 day fasts I do every other week, my tinnitus is basically undetectable (for much the same reason I"d imagine i.e. no insulin signalling for two days), and i feel as a whole that the restorative properties of fasting have helped improve things further in the last few months (which, with tinnitus, is quite rare--after 6 months or so it's extremely difficult to make progress).
Treating insulin resistance and fasting are both restorative in my humble opinion (pre-med, so take it with a grain of salt), I'd strongly encourage you to give it a try. Tinnitus can be tough, but you can also make a lot of progress so good luck!! There's also a very robust online community, so don't feel afraid to reach out.

If you are averse to truth and reality, as most are, tinnitus will be irritating. I'm a truth seeker. When my ears aren't ringing, i feel deprived. Jiminy Cricket is with me now. Chirping away in my head. Good times.
