Hello all, for some reason many of my replies are getting deleted by RUclips. Strange...anyhow, just wanted to give a huge thank you to y'all for watching and supporting what we do. Hopefully our live show makes it to your town soon!
Best,
Mark
come to NYC please. ;)
Mark Lettieri I can't put words to describe you. You are way too good.
come to the UK Mark ! please please please
Nj here , your bass player is phenomenal. Your mix of jazz and rock is a bit unique . I'd love to hear that song on a telecaster !
Mark Lettieri loving it here in New Zealand. Come on down for a visit/tour.
They say there are no more "Guitar Heroes" BULLSHIT, Mark is one of the best guitarists ever.
Ah c'mon, man. Shucks.
I agree after i see this one
Such an underrated guitarist. One of the best in the world today!
Jeremy Fernand I agree with you.
100% Truth! All his notes has a meaning. A reason. All his solos tell a story, and now people doesnt want storys, only speed, extravagant effects, etc. Thats why you are right, he is underrated. Hes style is only exquisit for the ones that really understand how difficult is to say something trough a guitar Solo.

@@lundbergdrums6642 Marcus, today to say or type "underrated" is a must if you want to give the right importance to your comments, didn't you know it yet?
The use of the word 'underrated' in criticism of any sort reveals the critic as a pretentious fool with nothing to say.
Give it up for Wes Stephenson on bass, amazing job.
He rules.
Obviously this song highlights Mark for a great reason, but HAWT DAMN!!! Wes is so fackin amazing in this performance!!!!!!
Indubitably.
Meh...
Yes he does Mark. You are alright too
Coming back to this rendition today. Rest in peace, Jeff.
RIP Jeff
Mark I know Jeff was huge to you and your playing. This is a really killer tribute to him.
Wes Stephenson is a freaking genius!
that bass player is a genius as well...... ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Floored... I was Blown away, tears in my eyes... fantastic performance Mark.
The best moments are when it sounds like an entirely less structured song. Some of the most articulate playing by three guys live I've ever heard. Fantastic stuff.
WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!! This is amazing, what a great guitarist..............drummer...........and the bass..........just as amazing as the the guitarist and drummer........the combination just great!!!!!!!
This is guy is a breath of fresh air, but let’s not overlook the amazing guys with him!
this is probably the best & most unique cover of a song I have ever heard
Unfreakingbeliavable. And Wes is simply a beast too.
This is my favorite Jeff Beck/Stevie Wonder track ever. Great job.
I know any guitar can sound soulful but without the soulful guitarist it don’t have no soul. Mark is that such dude.
i came back to this to give respect to jeff beck and mark lettieri. RIP Jeff Beck
Oh yeah, chops, tone, phrasing, expression, everything.
So subtle, so lyric - and i love this bass player's way of adding fat bass without stepping too much ahead.
Mark is sure killing it......But hell, the Bassist & Drummer are on point too. Great job.
They are indeed!
Okay this video confirmed me that Lettieri is definitely a master of his art
Jeff one of my guitar heroes, you're the next one.
Thanks for share your talent and inspiration
Mark is from another space dimension
Note placement, dynamics, and so much more. This video should be the handbook for how to play with , "feel" and letting your emotions and intent lead the hands on the strings! Perfection! The Bass player and the drummer hold the foundation of this cover like none I've seen. Masterclass in teamwork!
Best tribute to Jeff Beck on the internet. I think he’d be really impressed by the whole thing
I shall sleep well tonight. Next to the soft warm glow of my guitar fire.
That's the best variation of this sentiment I've seen.
I put my (guitar) ashes in an urn on the mantel piece😀
😭🤣🤣🤣
Gorgeous. Tone, talent, poise, and yet still the feel of a wild "let go" when it mattered. And of course a big hand to bass 'n drums too. Thankfully music IS still alive and well!
Thanks very much!
Its performances like this that make me realize I can't really play guitar after all these years...
Very veeeeeeeeery goooooood Job!!!!! Amazing!!!! This sounds wonderfull!!! Jeff is very proudly!!!!
one of my personal idols doing his best, still inspires me every day
All that punishment and his guitar is still in tune at the end. Amazing! Great interpretation and so powerful.
Mark ha superato il maestro Jeff !!!!!
This song is one of my favorites from a god of mine growing up (Jeff Beck of course)... Hearing ML and homie wes on bass shred it to pieces just made my day
That's one of the best versions, i've ever seen of this song. Incredible.
Jeff would very proud of you, I imagine. Just outstanding!!
That was the best rendition of 'Lovers I ever heard. I'm actually stunned
Jeff Beck 50 anos prá mim de luz.
That part from 3.30 to 3.40, it just gave me the chills. Excellent cover.
3:46 little things like these make this guitarist one of the best of our times.
The way he’s approaching tempo and melody is pretty unique.
Just discovered this guy. What the hell have I been missing.
How he gets those bell-like tones, even with his faster runs, is beyond me. Sweet stuff!
I’ve been a huge Johnny A. Fan for many years and now, you, Mark.........instrumental guitar music to the max! I’m sure other guitarists like myself are now discovering your talents and musicianship........wonderful tone, great technique, & fluid musical thoughts. Fabulous!
Thanks! I love Johnny A. too!
God, love coming across performances this good. It is in your hands to keep music alive. Thanks
That was gorgeous, all of it: the tune, the guitar, even Mark!
Haha, thank you!
I can't believe this..super amazing tone, guitar playing, everything perfect. Come to South Korea someday!
Mark you're Genius man!! Thanks for this awesome version!!!!!!!
That was a real masterclass right there Mark. Amazing tone and phrasing while you breeze through blues, jazz and fusion. What a powerhouse trio too.
Mark, you are my best discovery of at least the last 10 Yeats, you embody everything that a world class guitarist should be, in Time you Will be among the best of all Time, thanks for all the inspiración.
Jeff Beck and Stevie Wonder must love this. I know I do.
F'ing spectacular.... Simply awesome....
Mark! my goodness!!!! you gave me goosebumps!
Mark, this is so beatiful. Thanks for your music
This left me speechless! I was watching the Martin Miller version of this featuring Mark & thinking that was very nearly as good as the Jeff Beck version on the live at Ronnie Scott’s album. This trio version popped up so I thought I’d give it a listen.... simply sublime. I have been a fan of Mark’s playing ever since getting turned on to Snarky Puppy, but here he is in a class of his own.
One of the best versions i've ever heard! Hope you guys come to Brazil someday. The Bourbon Street @ São Paulo is the perfect place!
Best,
Pedro
Ouch!!! Utterly Sublime!! Bless you.
locked my jaw and poked me in the eye crying fantastical
Awesome! If Jeck Beck heard this, he would be ecstatic. Bravo nicely done
Whoa as soon as the drive kicked in I got the goosebumps all over, haven’t heard a singing lead tone like that in a while
holy hell, I literally just found out about Mark lettieri, absolute BEAST
This feels so warm!! wow love it.
Came for the title and stayed for Mark's performance.
Пилат... Неужели, может быть так красиво... Это же невозможно!
I agree with manb4war. Amazing sound. I like how the bass unobtrusively melts right in there. Mark you guys kick!!!!!
I've been a Jeff Beck fan forever and, except for the things that Jeff can do that nobody else can, you killed it! Great job!
First watched in Norms rare guitars then Tim Pierce now happily here
One of the best versions I’ve seen of this instrumental! Fantastic job guys!!
Beatiful tone and playing, the whole package
Holly shit!
Best version I've ever heard!
Mark, you have an extraordinary touch.
Jorge Martín Pérez Jeff Beck!!!!
Thomas Andersson Holly shit, of course Jeff's version is THE VERSION.
But man, I've fallen in love with the stuff that Mark makes starting at 3:30 (I'm talking as a guitar player). And the solo is fantastic.
But once again, Jeff's version is THE VERSION hahahahha
best cover !!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
No words can describe this, amazing Mark!
Yes yes yes yes
I heard some Eric Johnson influences in the intro there, great playing!
That bass line at 5:30... You're a genius dude!
Mark, you're the man!
I think I made an audible noise followed by an F word when I heard the pizzicato thing at 4:28. My wife peeked in to make sure I was ok. That is some seriously creative stuff. I love how you play other songs exactly like Jeff Beck and a Jeff Beck song like nothing I've ever heard before.
That's hilarious! Very kind of you to say that, John. I'm definitely a huge Jeff fan - I try my best to do my thing when I can, and still honor the original. Some people dig it, others don't :) This was also the first time this trio had played together, and the first time we'd done this tune. I don't think the drummer had ever heard it until that afternoon. What ya see is what ya get!
@@mjlettieri It's gold, man. You emulated what I love about Jeff: he will NEVER play the same song twice. Little nod, then we're on to the new thing. I'm a FAN. Thank you for replying!
And then right into the legato immediately after. Nice transition....
You play very well Mark and great to see you put your on own take on this classic tune. Cheers!
Great job - loved the church progression at the end!
BTW, I remember Wes from and old worship DVD from about 10 years ago, he did one of the funkiest You Are Good I've ever heard....
First word that comes to mind ..... " WOW ". REALLY pleasant and exciting to listen to. Very tasteful. It's hard to put one's own flavor onto the great Jeff Beck, but Mr. Lettieri and his group have managed it. A bold, yet thoughtful, rendition. Thanks !
Thanks man! This was the first time we'd ever played it - and actually the first time this configuration had played together. No rehearsal, just winged it. I'm not sure the drummer had ever heard the tune before earlier that day, ha! :) I know it's sort of a "forbidden" song or whatever, but we had some fun with it. I appreciate the support.
Even Jeff would be impressed with this
Jeff Becks version of a Stevie Wonder tune! Nice job fellas!
Yesss, my favorite song!
Marc, what a tone ...
What do you say? Awesome? Great playing? Mark and all the bandmates by the way. Thanks for playing well and all the best.
Outstanding.
great! Thanks You guys!
Absolutely killing it.
Superb impro, great furios finish!!!!! It`s hard to compete with Jeff, but this is excellent!
This guitarist proves a Stratocaster is all you need
..........Amen to that, brother! He has cracked the code of where that 'elusive' tone we're all chasing comes from.........and thy name is Strat!!
and a shitton of knowhow.
Thats amazing Mark!! Beautiful playing!!
Beautiful
Very very nice!
F A N T A S T I C O ! ! ! regards from BRAZIL
So great guys!
Absolutely brilliant
Unbelievable stuff
I'm dreaming of the day RUclips will ban the word "underrated" for the music videos. That been said, Mark you're really fine musician and guitarist.
P.S. I hope that my comment will not be underrated... Ha! Ha!
Ok i heard this before i never had the album jeff beck i like the live stuff as well as the sound i was just laying in bed and this popped up good for a night like tonight peaceful
Can't wait for Dallas guitar show this year!!!
Somehow Mark Lettieri had not popped on my music radar until recently (which is weird since I watched some videos with Charlie Hunter and Snarky Puppy a while back), but he has quickly become possibly my favorite guitar player of all time. I believe this is exactly how I want to play guitar.
Just saw this comment after three years. Mark Lettieri has, in fact, become my favorite guitarist.
Oh, man. Beautifully done and brings up a well of memories for me. As a kid, after I learned guitar some, a guy I knew had an electric guitar and was, ehhh...ok. My brother played drums, so that meant I was gonna play bass. We couldn't afford a PA, so we three went to school on Jeff Beck Wired and ZZ Top's live album. Still beautiful. Thanks!
