I cannot stop looking at your Christmas tree earrings. So cute!!!
Same here!!
I keep a donation box in the garage and put stuff in it all the time with the understanding that I may take it back if I find I miss it. Once a season I take the box to charity shop. Maybe once or twice a year I take something back out of the box. It works for me because it's out of sight but I have the option to regret decluttering it.
The pillow is perfect! When I was a kid I always drew my sun in the corner of the paper :)

I found that during decluttering or in the early stages of organizing an area, it helps me a lot to just write on and stick a piece of frog tape onto bins, drawers etc., because you can easily change stuff around when you realize you need a bigger bin for x or divide y into two categories etc. Only when a system is working well for a period I'll make an actual label for it.
Everybody below my comment got a thumbs-up from me. I come from a family of 11 people and I'm the youngest born in 1963, we all had chores to do when we got home from school along with throughout the summer, seemed simple to me and made sense. Kallie your daughter licking the toast, reminded me of my own kids doing that when I helped them get dressed. Signed a divorced male who raised his own kids without help.
I have a double dresser in our downstairs laundry room where I keep my 2 kids' clothes. Each kid gets a side. I sit on a stool by the machines, fold their clothes and immediately put them away. They get showers downstairs in the primary bathroom (which is just around the corner). Just makes sense to have what they usually wear down there too.
Yes!! we have a hair tie/clips/brushes drawer in my kitchen. more often than not, the toothbrushes are in the kitchen as well.
Idk which video it was, but you posted it more recently about putting things away poorly is better than not putting it away at all and I think that has saved my ACTUAL sanity as a new mom!!! Another tip that really helps me is not leaving a room empty handed so I constantly stay in a state of decluttering 🙏🏽
I need to thank you, Kallie. A few weeks ago, you inspired me to institute the clean sink hack. It spilled over to my dining room table, and not only have I maintained that, I started working on my (truly frightening) upstairs bathroom. I'm taking small steps because my work life is currently out of control (I run a startup medical microbiology lab for a major healthcare system), but it has made a difference not just in my home, but in my mental state. Thank you for the tips and the inspiration! ❤
I do NOT have a cord bucket .... I have a whole basket. I would not have commented, but watching your daughter lick her toast just made me too happy!
Me too! So precious!
"Store it where you use it" has been really helpful. I was so tired of running upstairs to the closet for towels and back downstairs to put them in the washroom almost every day. I now keep a small bin near the washroom to hold towels.
This was me with my kids socks! Now they all go in their shoe drawers in the entry way!
The pillow didn't bother me but the title of this video did LOL
Why?
@@kimberlyelkins8150 she might correct it if she notices, but right now it says “stree-free” instead of “stress-free”
the pillow didn't bother me until she pointed it out lol
😂
@@kimberlyelkins8150title says "stree" instead of stress
I would like to add that home layout is a factor in laundry routine. When my washer was in a place that I walked past it a thousand times a day, I easily stayed on top of washing and drying. When it’s on the other end of the house, it takes more intentionality.
An easy tip for all the cords, I found the dollar store has clear pencil cases. I got 2 of those and labeled one as “Apple chargers” and one as “android” to make it easy for me, then I just wrap my cords up so they don’t get tangled and keep all my spares in those cases so they don’t get tangled and are easy to find
My biggest takeaway - have an easy place where things go. Thanks for sharing. :-) love your tips.
Ive had the same laundry routine for years and am so glad its still working for me.
M - sheets
T - cleaning rags
W - mine and my husbands clothes
Th - my 11yo does hers and her 5yo sisters clothes.
F - my 13yo does hers and her 7yo brothers clothes
Sat - all the children put away their clothes
Sun - everyones bath towels and our hand towels. And I have an alarm set for the first Sunday of the month to run a clean washer mode. 👍🏼
Girl! You got it figured out! I took a screenshot of your list so I can try it out! Pur laundry is ALWAYS PILED up, whether it's clean or dirty. Thanks foe sharing your tips!
When does your 11 year old have time to do laundry with homework, etc, on a school night?
High 5 for teaching your children to do laundry and making them responsible for it. My son is now over 40. It was just the 2 of us (his father wimped out when our son was barely 3 yrs old), and I was a working mom. I taught my son how to operate the washer & dryer and do his own laundry when he was 10. Years later, when he came home for a visit during his first year away at college, he casually mentioned that there were kids at school who were having a really rough time adjusting, mostly because they had never had to do anything for themselves. He specifically mentioned that "some kids have never even done their own laundry". That made me so proud!! ❤
YYEEESSSSS! It’s all in the labels!! I seriously just told my sister to label, label, label EVERYTHING.That way you know what you have and know where it lives! No buying more because you can’t find something .
Your store it where you use it makes do much sense. I am going to get a label maker so it's easier to put kitchen items away. Hubby still asks where X goes after living in our home for almost 10 years!!!
Thanks for all the sound advice you've passed along, I always learn from you!
I recently adopted your 2-3x a day flat surface sweep and I'm just immediately happier. I'm always guilty of "I'll come back to this" so my craft stuff is out, my planner stuff is out, my work stuff is out, etc. now I'm doing sweeps a few times a day and loving it.
I wish I had space enough in my kitchen for all the appliances we use daily, like the toaster oven and coffee maker. But I've created a little "zone" for my coffee stuff at least.
Amen to the robot vacuum/mop! I love mine, given me half a day back each week & really nice to have the floor feeling clean all week with minimal effort.
i LOVE my label maker! I've had it for 20 years and I can honestly say it's the best organizational tool I own.
❤ your earrings - I have the same ones on right now 🎄 excellent vid. I agree with all your advice. Cords in a binder love it. I store other things like that in pouches. I do store my cords in the binder pouches hanging and it’s ugly. Never thought of cords! One of my struggles. Thank you! Happy holidays and good health, kiddo. Sorry…I’m 60 years young. Every one is a kiddo . 😁
Yes, flat surface check each day is so important!
I did the backwards closet declutter. It feels so much better. I got rid of a whole trash bag. So freeing
I love decanting my spices. Not long ago, I purchased matching containers and labels and reorganized all my spices. I also moved them from a small cabinet (where I couldn't see all of them) to a drawer. It's made it so much easier to see exactly what spices I have. Sometimes I'll go open my spice drawer just to look at it. It makes me so happy to see all of my spices organized and easy to get to.
Cord bucket😂 truth!
Clothes- living in NC where weather changes constantly- i find like you mentally checking on weather and what's needed every couple weeks helps, but i keep the not needed clothes in boxes by season or under bed by season so easy to grab when weather changes quickly
Point of service is so important- like hair brush in a morning basket by front door with chapstick etc for going out the door
Thank you for your time in putting this videos out! As far as your overstock items are concerned- if you have purchased items at 3 for $10 -label them with painters tape or your washable labels 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 so you don't forget about the others in the hidden/overstock area and cross out and update the numbers as you pull them out and use them. It's so helpful for me not to forget. 😃😃😃
Always enjoy your content.
Your hair is killing it this video.
Pillow just seems like it’s a daytime view , not “wrong”. Love you and your personality!
I wish someone could do my hair for me while I’m eating breakfast. That’s the life.
I have an electronic dresser in a closet. It's a small 3 drawer dresser and have each drawer is for a category; bottom for xomputer stuff, middle is for camera stuff, top is for phones and misc.
Thank you so much for posting!!😢 I needed this!!
I totally agree with the advice around the 13:25 mark!! I love coming to a visually clear, uncluttered space - we recently replaced our living room flooring to bamboo flooring, and after doing that, we as a family made a pact to keep the room clutter free -- so far so good!! :)
Not to mention how things get damaged when left out: drinks get spilled on papers on the table; toys on the floor get stepped on, etc.
A Merry Christmas to you and your family!🎄🤶🎅🏼🎁🙏🏻
I keep kids clothes in the laundry room for very similar reasons (also because our laundry room is awkwardly large). It's been a game changer for us!
Kallie, you are so adorbs. I love your earrings and I COUNT ON your sensibilities! Bottom line? YOU FREAKING ROCK!
Great idea to store kids' clothes and hair stuff in the kitchen! I might try something similar
Overstock storage - what a great approach. I am going to give that a try which means rearranging a few cabinets. My family always says that I move things around as soon as they get used to where things are placed …Yeah! I get to move things LOL!
I'm just being mischievous...
Pillow and misspelling of Stress didn't bother me until pointed out.
Loved the content...
Loved the earrings...
Absolutely missed your usual
goodbye and 'be kind to yourself.'
I ran back to the phone to replay.😅
Love the overstock bin idea❤👍
My planner arrived!!! I ❤ it!!!
I really want a planner! When will they be available again?
I'm super lazy, but you've helped me so much with all of your tips where you kind of do something as you're doing something else, or you just take 30 seconds to move things off the kitchen table, etc. Even that one video you made where you said that doing something 50% is better than not at all has helped me actually put my clean laundry away in the drawers lol. They might not be perfectly folded (I'll usually at least roll them so they don't wrinkle lol) and they might still be inside-out, but it's massively improved my efficiency in doing laundry. Instead of having an entire day where I do nonstop laundry because of all the random places it's ended up :P. So thank you for these
I have 2 label makers!!! Love them both.
Kelly, ❤ your channel! I literally watch it for inspiration while I'm cleaning - like now. I'd like to leave a couple of suggestions I've found helpful. I'm a senior gal, and I fear climbing up on step ladders (NEVER stand on chairs or stools which are not safe.) I find that a "grabber" tool is usually very helpful. Right now, I'm cleaning inside of my kitchen stove vent with Dawn powerwash and Bounty paper towels held by my grabber claw. It's working like magic! Also, if you have a gas stove, use your dishwasher for washing your stove grates and burners. I use my dishwasher for certain knicknacks, glass covers lights, etc. It is great for all kinds of things other than dishes. Have a blessed day!
I actually like the pillow on the side!
My label maker was the best Christmas gift my husband ever bought me! I was like yea whatever but man it’s the best
Same!
You’re so great. ❤
I didn't notice the pillow at all! But after you pointed it out I think it looks fine!
I also have 3 kids; My kids all have their own laundry days, I taught them how do laundry early on but they’ve always been apart of everything including cooking, dishes, and cleaning, they all like to do different chores but everyone pitches in and they usually don’t complain 😂
I’m trying to do the same with my clothes right now. I have under the bed storage, I’m weeding my clothes and just putting back what I’m wearing now in my dressers and closet. I have my bins labeled, summer, fall, winter, spring.
Thank you for all the tips…
Thank you so much!
The cord bucket, yes we have one of those and you are so on point with what you said, it's crazy!!!! 🤪😅🤣
The best way I have found to know what cable goes with (What) is to fold over your cord with tape then write what it goes with. I do this the very day I purchase an item.
Wrap-It cord labels are a must :)
LOVE the idea to keep things where we use them! Who cares where other people store their things. We gotta do whatever we can to make our own life easier! And besides, they don’t live with us anyway! Thanks for a great tip!
Thank u for this & all ur tips/videos really have brought so much simplicity into my life ❤
That's so true that it's handy to keep the kids' clothes downstairs. We have done this ever since having a two-story house and a baby. You're not going to go all the way upstairs for every single diaper change or messy outfit. Keep just a basket of just their favorites downstairs.
I'm with you on going back and forth to get the kids. I get my son dressed in the living room in the morning after breakfast. I find it more convenient that way.
Thanks for this. I am a single woman in my 70s so nowhere near the level of chaos in my house, or so one would believe😂. I looked in you Amazon shop, but could not find the ziplock bags that you out in a 3 ring binder to store cords. It does not matter how old you are there are too many cords
Ugh to the amount of cords we have! One thing to consider is that some devices will not charge unless you use the cord it came with (my hansheld frother is like this).
I have the same collapsible hampers and love them! Seeing you carry it, gave me such validation😂
I use a makeup bag that has dividers in it to keep my cords organized and put away
That's a good idea with the set days with "put away."
I didn't even notice the pillow until you asked if it was bugging me.
Good ideas. 😀👍
I truly enjoy your videos sooo much!
Yes, the cord bucket! It's a universal law!
Love your tips and tricks.
Would love to know where you got your hair supplies organizer for your little girl!! It looks perfect.
i just have one wardrobe, but i have sections. winter clothing, then formal dresses, then workplace attire, then everyday stuff 😊 so i know what section to look at to find something for this day.
I am a believer of storing the lids on my food containers too. Would yours take up less space without the bins if they were stacked by size?
I kept a small basket with a handle in the kitchen to do my daughter's hair up until she was 6. It helped so much! Now I know I'm not crazy. lol
Great earrings! ❤🎄
Stress-free? Think not. Breathe Callie, breathe! ❤️🌲❄️
Haha I have the same fast talker mode as she does when explaining things and definitely feel it gives the vibe of constant anxiety though it’s usually more excitement 😅
Fix the pillow 😅😂🤣❤️❤️Love the earrings 🎄🎄
So appreciative of your content this year! Thanks for another great video. I’m super keen to support the folks I have been helped by but as a UK buyer I don’t think I can use your US Amazon links… I’ve also been trawling your amazing shop for your recommendation of a good label maker, would gratefully receive a steer!!
I bought the cheapest robot vacuum I could find and it's completely transformed my life. My old cordless stick Dyson has been deteriorating and I had to choose; I could have it repaired for $300 and keep relying on my motivation and willpower... or I could let it deteriorate, buy a $200 robot vacuum and a $100 cheap stick vacuum instead and I picked the latter, and it's the best choice I ever made. My house has never been cleaner!
Thank you for this video! ☺🌹
I LOVE your black dress with the white flowers you are wearing in this video at 13:29, can you link where you got it?
I felt like I was winning at life when my 8 year old asked for a label for a box she organized!!
Thanks for reminding me about my wardrobe ❤ Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a robot vacuum that is better for long haired dogs?
Lol! I noticed the pillow 😂
I also do this to my overstock bins: Take a dry-erase marker and write exactly what you have in that bin on the outside of the bin (write it straight on the bin, or they do have dry-erase stickers you can buy). Then as you use up the overstock, erase that item from the outside of the bin. That way you know what you have in the bin and don't have to dig through the whole bin.
Love this video! Excellent tips!❤
Label makers overwhelm me, because of cost and availability of tapes, batteries, etc. So I got an old fashioned embossing one, the refills are cheap, so easy and so enjoyable and they look pretty.
I have some over stock bins that I use. I have one for the extra condiments. I like to make sure I have an extra of my favorites so I don't run out. I also have one for bathroom stuff. Toothbrushes, deodorant, and razors. Stuff that I get from BJ's or naturally come in multipacks. Makes it easier.
Pillow didn't bother me, I feel free with some of the tips, thanks. 💕
My seasonal clothes are under the bed (with the exception ofcoatswhich are in a garment bag.)
Love your earrings.
This is amazing! ❤
I’m always looking for ways to be stree free!
I raised 4 kids..1 boy 3 girls. Oh Man! The clothes on the main floor where the kitchen, and laundry room were, is brilliant!! Doing the girl's hair while they ate, brilliant!! Wish I'd thought of that, imagine how great weekday mornings could have been 😅😢 We all could've avoided therapy as I was a 'Screaming Meemie'. Alas, no RUclips then, just Mom's n Tots to exchange idea's lol
God bless that group, we helped each other avoid murder suicide every GD day!
I love your cord binder and the cute stripped envelopes! 💖
Kallie love your earrings 😊
I love your earrings!!😍🎄
I laughed so hard at your excess cord segment cos it's so true 😂😂
The only time I ever get a sharp tone with my husband is when he criticizes the robot vacuum. 😂
lmbo 🌞 I never would have noticed the pillow
I need to declutter my cord bucket since we have moved. I did it a few years ago after meaning to for a while. I threw out a cord I needed because it wasn't organized & I didn't know what it went to.😢
