Poor duck. I'm glad the chicken was happy again with her dog friend Ben, after losing her duck friend.
Duck is probably fine, just joined a wild flock and migrated.
Ducks are wild animals. It most likely found a flock and instincts took over and it's with them now.
The way the chicken slid into the picture at 0:44 was brilliant.
That was the kind of entry film stars dream of!

I think so too. It's so sad that the duck was never found. But, at least the chicken has a companion in Ben. He is such a gentle animal. You guys are the best to rescue and release birds. It must be so fulfilling to foster them. If i had a backyard, i would love to do the same. 🐔🦆💞👍👍

Assuming the duck was not in an accident or killed, it most likely left due to his instincts to find a partner and start a family. And that is hardwired in their DNA just like other bird species

I was heartbroken to see Duck leave his siblings at home 🥺 I hope Ben continues to be a supportive friend and brother to Chicken.

The chipmunk and dog one hit me the hardest.
Our senior shep Gunner, a rescue, is the same. Very nurturing. Presently best friends to all our cats, including three new kittens.
I instantly started bawling when the chook was sitting next to the soccer ball. I don't know what's come over me cos I very rarely cry but just seeing her there broke my heart for her. This must mean I have empathy?? Regardless, I promised myself I'd stop crying 10 years ago, for any reason, and here I am bawling like a baby.

A duck, a chicken and a German Shepherd…who would have thunk it??? But, it’s a beautiful thing and we have so much to learn from animals…if only we could be more like them!!! Chickens are surprisingly fun animals to have around the home.
When our animal friends form a friendship with another, be they have fur or feathers, they look past the differences. We humans can learn a lot from our magical fauna ❤. Watching these 3 become friends, to then play with each other, is a joyful sight.

She was deformed and the rear neighbours threw her over
She owned the house and the pond and me and I will leave with beautiful memories of my Missy

Last year, at 6 am, my husband was taking my 20 year old daughter to work. They interrupted a cat chasing a tiny duckling. It was one of those situations where either you save the duck...or let nature take its coarse. Well, my daughter took it in. Eventually got him a huge cage...he followed her around the house...outside...we got him a kiddie pool...it was too cute. Then one day, just like thus duck, he flew away and we never saw him again😢. We live in an area where there are ducks so we hoped for a visit..or a glimpse. Nothing. Sad!!

1:40 That seems like a very bad idea. When you raise a domesticated animal, it's not exactly a "wild" animal anymore regardless of its species and therefore doesn't have the preparation it needs to survive out in the wild on its own. It seems like that's what happened in this case.
