They showed a glimpse or Ares in the last trailer and thanks to toys we already know he's in it, why spoil the rest. If casual movie goers won't know who the God of war is showing him in the trailer wouldn't make a difference as long as it's conveyed in the movie. We don't need them explaining the entire second act in a trailer
If the average person isn't drawn in by THAT amazing trailer there's no hope for them. They'll just have to see it after all their much smarter friends tell them how incredible the movie was.
This was an amazing trailer IMO! I think that WB keeps showing the same scenes because they want moviegoers to know exactly what they will be getting with the Wonder Woman film, rather than having trailers with scenes that that would eventually be cut or spoiling the big bad.
If the haven't showed Ares for all this long, there's no point on showing him now when we are only a couple of weeks. Ares reveal most likely wouldn't change the mind of the people who aren't sold for this movie. It will be an incredibly feeling and experience to get the reveal on the big screen. I'm so glad they keeping him a secret!

The whole trailer is the wow moment. Hardcore fans are satisfied and I don't think showing Ares in the trailer is a good idea for those people. Sometimes trying to make to big a splash isn't good. I think Ares is a huge part of the movie that's why they have shown done well to show a singular set of scenes. Which don't involve him or his minions. Revealing Ares will be a mistake. The trailer did what it needs to do. Especially with the music choice. For a casual person. Seeing Ares in a trailer would be confusing. But for families out there who want to see a female superhero. This is perfect. Especially with opening sequence of "fighting doesn't make you a hero". People forget the story is from Zack Synder. Ares will play a heavy part in the movie. Plus how are people ignoring that another movie plot. The shown villain in the trailer is female. Dr poison. Big way of making it a female v female hero/villain situation. Just my two cents. I'm hyped!

I think from being very philosophy driven movie trailer to this one which looks like an action movie.... i think the transitioning is great... for starters.. movie should be seen as a great action movie as well with tons of story and visuals... thats what male driven movies are also like... secondly... these were like you called it... money shots... things you've not seen before on trailer but they still havrnt revealed a lot about the villians and plot which still makes it a good marketing...

We don't want to get a full picture of what the plot is. All we want to see in the trailer is the gravity and devastation of the war coupled with the sheer splendour of our Amazon princess.
