My childhood was full of fear of sleeping because of Freddy. Definitely a probable cause of giving me mad anxiety as a child. Looking forward to the King tier! Keep up the amazing work.
S- the original, dream warriors, dream master, new nightmare A- Freddy’s revenge, dream child B- Freddy vs Jason Skipping C D- the remake F- Freddy’s dead
I'd bump 5 up to an A and 6 up to a B. Freddy's Dead suffers from being misunderstood, it's a celebration of the series and was to be a fun finale. I get that some fans don't like the zaniness of it but Freddy had already jumped the shark and it was just a really fun time, I'd rate it 7/10 and love rewatching it just as much as the the first 5. The remake isn't horrible, just misguided which made it a misfire, C is fair.
1. S-Nightmare on elm street 2. B-Freddy's revenge 3. S- Dream warriors 4. A. The dream master 5. B- The dream child 6. F freddy's dead 7. A .New nightmare 8. B -Freddy v jason 9. D- Nightmare Reboot
S: Elm Street 1, Dream Warriors A: Dream Master, Freddy vs. Jason B: New Nightmare C: Freddy's Revenge D: Dream Child F: Freddy's Dead, Elm Street (2010)
I can't really argue this ranking and hearing how you came to these conclusions. With that said, The Dream Child has always been my favorite since I first saw it as a kid in the early 90's. Sure, watching it as an adult now I see exactly what you guys are saying in regards to its silliness and feeling rushed (because it was) but I loved the comic book aspect as well as the old creepy hospital stuff, but my favorite kill from Freddy is in this one too which is the scene where Freddy is feeding the girl her own guts. Seeing that as a kid really freaked me out and when I eventually bought the complete series nearly 20 years ago I was so bummed that they cut that scene out of the film (at least in the box set that I bought). But never the less, I love the Nightmare series and don't think the remake is as bad as people say it is, though I agree with where you guys rank it here because it did unfortunately fall short of what made the series so awesome.
I think they should rename “New Nightmare” to “Thank You, Wes Craven, For Saving This Franchise From Going Totally Off The Rails”.....it’s definitely one of the best sequels to any movie series/franchises.
OMG... Imagine Cecil working with Johnny Depp... 😍 Speaking of which I always felt like Dave McRae could play a bad ass Johnny Depp character. Kinda like a Gothic, Johnny Depp (Usual Archetype)-like Vampire, but more in the realm of Dani Filth's character in Cradle Of Fear. And not some cheesy vampire we usually see these days in movies. 😑 But yeah..! If Johnny Depp ever collaborated with Cecil for anything that would certainly be a dream come true..! ESPECIALLY if it had anything to do with Dylan's New Nightmare..! 😍
My ranking tier: S: A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984), A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 A: A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 B: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, A Nightmare On Elm Street 5, Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Freddy vs. Jason C: A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010) D: Freddy's Dead
Hell yeah I agree with this list 100 percent. You always have the best opinions on this series and I love it. I can't wait to see what you guys do with the film you are making its gonna be epic.
I enjoyed the story arc with alice and dan in 4&5 , the same way i enjoyed the story arc in halloween 4&5 with jamie and rachel. I agree with Cecil. Its really the trilogy of the nightmare series ,and the best sequels within the elm street franchise that people shit on for whatever reason with the exception of dream warriors. The ending of freddy's dead was terrible, the worst send off you could ever give to a villainous icon. The reboot was bad but bad cause of the makeup on haley. And the child molester backstory where they tried to make the elm street parents seem like the villains, its almost like they wanted the viewers to feel sorry for freddy when he was suppose to be the protagonist. But still my favorite franchise all time! Great ranking guys!!
The way I personally justify the "S" being higher than the "A" is for one... That's how they do it in Naruto when ranking missions, so I kinda grew up with the understanding of how that worked engraved into me. And two... I've always thought about the "A" as "AWESOME" and the "S" as "SUPER AWESOME"..! 😂✌️
The reason Jason part 7 has a psychic is because the movie was originally intended to be Freddy vs. Jason. New Line backed out and Paramount moved forward with the basic concept.
My ranking for these is: S: 3: Dream Warriors A: 1984 original B: New Nightmare Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare C: 5: The Dream Child 4: The Dream Master D: Freddy vs. Jason F: 2: Freddy's Revenge 2010 remake
Nice..! This'll be a good way to relax and smoke on some uh da good stuff and sip on some orange juice before I get back to filming my new review..! 🥤 . . . *Cheers* . . . 🥤
Nightmare on elm street 4 the dream master will always be my favorite right next to the ORGINAL. (Can't beat a classic) your video makes me wanna rewatch it right now. 😍🤣
Just happen to stumbled upon your channel and subscribed. Had to watch this episode as ANOES is my Favorite Franchise. Not far off from your rankings. Would move FVJ to an A, Dream Warriors down to an A, the Remake to an F and Dream Child to a C.
100% agree here. Except the remake..🤮 F We need a real return...to elm street. There's an episode of The Goldbergs S6E5 "Mister Knifey-hands" Robert Englund reprises the role for the episode..it's awesome and the most recent activity of Freddy as we know him.
@@TheHorrorShowChannel idk just on my list of put it at a b no way is it better then the original I just thought it worked fine. The only things I didn't like we're the pedo story will Freddy and how they tried to reuse so many old shots but with cgi
Freddy's dead is a time capsul. I think it's the worst of the original run. I think remake is worst. Ear plug kill and backstory was intersting. Horrible and stupid but somewhat enjoyed especially as a kid. Probably D with the remake but find it more rewatchable especially when I'm stoned. Agree with your ranking except I'd have nightmare 4 at A and nightmare 2 at B and remake at D.
Nightmare 2 is a bad sequel to the first, even forgetting the rule-breaking thing as a script, it's terrible. The movie loses the dream aspect to just focus on some random dude's B movie Possession plot, lol. This movie lacks the interesting dream aspect and the lead character regardless of Mark Patton's acting is a bad character, all he does is cry the entire movie and never tries to fight back against Freddy like Nancy. The ending is another shock-ending repeat of the first film, so lame. With all that said, by itself on its own, Nightmare 2 is a good solo Horror film but a bad sequel to Nightmare 1.
Everything about the remake just felt bland and uninteresting. Bland characters, bland performances, bland nightmare sequences, bland kills. I could go on.
Totally agree with the list. I saw Nightmare 3 in 87 and Lost Boys the same year at the theater. I was 4. Thanks Dad.
Good ranking. Dream Master is my personal favorite sequel. Glad to see it at least got an A.
My childhood was full of fear of sleeping because of Freddy. Definitely a probable cause of giving me mad anxiety as a child. Looking forward to the King tier! Keep up the amazing work.
S- the original, dream warriors, dream master, new nightmare

Great list guys. For me it’s
1. 0.G.
2. Pt 3
3. Pt 2
4. New nightmare.

i know it is pretty randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to watch new tv shows online?
@Denver Elisha Flixportal
@Enrique Benson thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it !
@Denver Elisha happy to help =)
The dream master is my favorite of the series.
The Dream Child is in my top 3. I love the direction (along with 4) and it's very surreal and "dream like".
My favorite series. Liked the ranking. Definitely an S tier series

great job guys
Awesome! Thank you!

I've always thought about the "A" as "AWESOME" and the "S" as "SUPER AWESOME"..! 😂✌️
Hey that works!
I pretty much agree although Freddy’s Dead is dangerously close to F tier for me.
Also wanted to add that I hope fatherhood is going well, Cecil.
The reason Jason part 7 has a psychic is because the movie was originally intended to be Freddy vs. Jason. New Line backed out and Paramount moved forward with the basic concept.
My ranking for these is:
S:

A:

B:

Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
C:
5: The Dream Child
4: The Dream Master
D:

F:
2: Freddy's Revenge
2010 remake
Oh yes guys someone does disagree with you about Freddy's Dead lol.
Nightmare 1 ,3 and 7 are S
Nightmare 4 is A
Nightmare 2 and FVJ is B
Nightmare 5 is C
Nightmare 6 is D
Remake is F
Awesome review

Welcome!
This is awesome
U guys should do a slasher kill tier list....It would be fun to see like what are the best kills of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ooo, that'd be fun but would take forever to prepare to do correctly. I'd wanna show the clips and everything, so...I dunno. Maybe some day!
@@TheHorrorShowChannel I picture this like for an October 🎃 Halloween episode!!!!!!!!!!!😁👍
100% agree here. Except the remake..🤮 F

That Goldbergs ep was BORDERING on "Robert shouldn't be doing this anymore" territory.
This list is perfect only thing I'd change would be remake I'd put it at b or even maybe a
Yet most commenters say we should have gone F so who's to say, right? lol
@@TheHorrorShowChannel idk just on my list of put it at a b no way is it better then the original I just thought it worked fine. The only things I didn't like we're the pedo story will Freddy and how they tried to reuse so many old shots but with cgi
2 was unreal who cares he was walking around the movie the look the scenes are all iconic
What? You already did a howling and hellraiser ranking. How long Ago was this recorded?
Looks like it was filmed on the old set, so it was filmed before Cecil and Fuego got married & moved in together
Har dee har, Jon.
Yeah we recorded this one first I'm guessing. We also have a Chucky and Critters one that will drop relatively soon!
I disagree with you guys about Freddy's Dead. It's way better than the remake. The kills are better and the characters are more interesting.
That's fair!
Freddy's dead is a time capsul. I think it's the worst of the original run. I think remake is worst. Ear plug kill and backstory was intersting.
