You are in good company! The other one players don’t seem to know is that you can turn the incinerator turret on and off with the skill button. Makes the Exuro builds viable as it overcomes the short duration issues.
ttry the hive one that gives bleed also gr8 to trigger talent in a pinch & gr8 CC. short cool down & u can just pick it up after u trigger talent. I use Pulse & hive.
The stinger hive doesn’t cc - bleed has no effect on enemies sadly. Also the damage of burn is much higher than bleed and it applies cc so as long as you can use the burn sticky bomb or firestarter Chem launcher well, they are more effective than the stinger hive. Finally, you already apply bleed through the OD gearset so running Stinger Hive is not going to add to your damage output really.
@@NYLCasualGaming not total cc but staggers enemys & thats enough time to melt em with Headshotts i find. more about the short cd & good ammo for charges. i guess prefference. stick cd is long i find
A quick double tap. You are in good company as most players don’t seem to know it. Similarly for the incinerator turret. You can turn it on and off by clicking the skill button again. Makes it last longer overcoming its long cooldown. The sort of things it would be nice to have in the tooltip really. 🤷🏼♂️
I use something similar with the Bluescreen which will add additional status effects. Running modifiers but it just melts on Heroic bounties for me faster than my beloved Pestilence all red OD crit build
The best triple tick build involves a unicorn chest. China light Crit, status and glass. Change skill core attribute to weapon damage. Run will ongoing backpack and vile mask, fill in rest with ongoing obviously. It's insane tick damage. Run on survivalist in a group so they get bonus damage to status affected targets. Demo is another option, buffs your vile mask and gives them 5% dtoc. Gunner is cool solo for AoK and rate of fire buff
Yes, I used a piece like that in my Firestarter build which I featured last week. Because the theme of this build was about balance though, the 50% amplified damage from the OD gearset worked better. Personally I’m not that keen on using a backpack slot on the OD backpack. Bleed damage is a fraction of burn or pestilence ticks, so I would much prefer to use a talent that buffs either of those two first. Agree on Demo. It is an option albeit it only adds about 200k damage.
I wouldn’t recommend that build. The OD chest piece is just too strong now. You are losing out on 30% amplified weapon damage just for a bleed or blind every 30 seconds. Not a good trade.
Been using this set for week.. should try Pulse with it as it triggers the tallet for hallow ammo & also Iron lung works much better as it also triggers the talent for the gear set much faster & more often. Might have to try that chest, been using grupo with obliterate with CC-CD. also found getting more crits is just more dmg. status is OK but not needed for this set i found. ty for ideas & showcasing this build.
You will be losing a lot of damage output by using the iron lung over pestilence. But it’s a different build to the one you are describing. Pestilence does not work well in a CC - CD build.
It is a random drop. Your best chance is to run content where the targeted loot is masks. So open world if it comes up or countdown or summit where you can select the targeted loot. Bit of a grind to get it because you could also get Coyotes or Catharsis, both of which are great exotics. In the interim, you could just run a mask that buffs status effects (Electrique or Golan Gear), weapon damage (Walker Harris), or swap the build around a bit and put an OD mask on and equip contractors gloves which buff LMG damage, have DTA which buffs everything including status effects.
I came up with this build on my own thanks. Wouldn't surprise me if someone has done something similar before though given the game is 6 years old, but I haven't seen it.
Personally, this is not using pesti best. If you want to use dot pesti, read the weapon talent, its bases on weapon damage, and not status effects. Blue screen for SE is waayyyyy better. The main question you need to ask is, do you want to kill the npcs with bullets or se and build around that. Pesti is bad choice.
You mean like this Pestilence build that I put out a while ago: ruclips.net/video/brhsvB4pMFI/видео.html Or these status effect builds? ruclips.net/video/4-6mAXQavZE/видео.html The point of the build was to have some fun and use four damage dealing DoTs. And it is fun to play. Thanks for watching.

Here are my 3 favorite weapon dps builds that are still great. 3 Awesome Division 2 Solo DPS Builds, But Which Is The Best? ruclips.net/video/h8VPj2eBNaU/видео.html
I hadn’t seen your reply until you mentioned it here. Presume that the Backpack is The Setup and chest is Pointman. The obvious challenge with that build is that your weapon damage is very low so while you might have a shit ton of armor it will take you an age to complete any content. Presume you are using it in a group though so that doesn’t matter?
For a group tank build for legendary missions it’s a good build. For solo players looking for tanky builds, there are better options. I’m just updating one now that can face tank Chungas without any problem solo.
But how do you build ANYTHING?!?!? Why can't anyone make a step by step Instruction videos for all this shit. I have collected and libraries, and proficiency. Yet no idea what the actual fuck to do with it all??. I've watched videos, reddit, online veteran gamers want to tell you what you need but not how t build if.
I'm not sure exactly what you are saying. Are you looking for help with build creation in general? Or maybe the crafting system? Or where to grind for specific gear? Let me know, happy to help.
Just trial & error.. I know every build for div 2 are horrably explained & shown. I gave up trying to follow anyones builds & just started experimenting. make a second character & store all ya junk till you try it out. If you own the DLC its pretty fast as you can skip to 30. My tip is make builds around stuff you find fun. pick a weapon/ gearset / Ability & just build the gear to suit your style of play. Gl
Builds are a lot less complicated then most make them appear. Step 1: decide what you want the build to do, and stick with it. Until you fully understand how certain attributes and talents work, you will end up with a build trying to do too many things, that is good at none of them. Step 2: understanding gear and brandsets. The big thing here is understanding that the bonuses of whichever set you use only apply to the 3 or 4 pieces required to meet them. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone running 6 pieces of striker wondering why they can't get anywhere near the numbers they see in build videos. You have 2 other pices that could've been used to increase the effectiveness of your build. Which brings me to the 3rd, and possibly most important, step.... Step 3: synergy. What separates a good build from a crappy one is how well the pieces work together. I'll go back to the strikers build( (because it's the easiest to put together) as an example. Another thing I see constantly is players over spec'n into one stat or another. For this example I'm referring to critical hit chance. If you are seeing 60% CHC there's a strong possibility you have well over 60%, but because you've reached the 60% cap, it isn't effecting the build. If you have on the coyotes mask you are getting 15 or 25% additional CHC as soon as you shot an enemy in most cases. So, you really only want to get to 45 or 50% CHC and then allocate any other attributes available to CHD. My best advice is to learn build crafting from something straightforward and simple, once again like striker, and then start delving into the more complicated and intricate builds.
After playing this game for so long almost religiously, I just learned the double pressing skill to ignite fire cloud, thanks and please kill me.
It should be in skill description. I was like 1k SHD when I found that out
