Just so you know, the striker and Memento weapon damage buffs don’t work with Plague of Outcasts. Strikers is still the best dps gear set, you just won’t be buffing the debuff ticks. Welcome to Massive’s damage algorithms!
I run a 4pm striker with obliterate chest and the new exotic holster that instant reloads my pesty. Hits 600k with full stacks. Ran with a healer who had the 40% dmg buff that made my pesty hit for 1.4 mil on a 1000 rpm.
A couple of things you should know. The striker weapon damage buff does not buff the pestilence ticks, and the ticks stop as soon as you swap weapons so that exotic holster is nerfing your build. Not a problem if you are mainly using it for the pure weapon damage of course.
That meta 3 piece Leg and Sawyers build, I just never would put it together because it is leaving so much regular damage on the cutting room floor to....well like you said get bonus weapon damage in scenarios where the enemy should be dead already. Good build.
I've been using it since the start of the season, and even in an unoptimized build, it absolutely shreds. Once I'm dont having my fun with it, I'll be working on a build for my baby, the bighorn. Also tuxedo has a build that hits for 2.7 mil with the new set. I've been trying it to see how it compares to my striker build and it holds up pretty well
@@NYLCasualGaming Yeah, I am not a fan of all these build videos people are putting out advertising stupid high damage number and only once you have committed a view to their video do you find out the caveat: with a modifier. I won't go so far as to say they're being deliberately dishonest, but they're not far off.
It is a reflection of RUclips really. You have to sell the video for people to watch it, often pushing the boundaries. I mean look at the title of my video. Will you believe it? Well yes. But if the title said "The Pestilence build with slightly lower ticks than the meta but its a better all round build' or the Thumbnail 'Better in the open world than in the range', no one would click on it. It is tough so I don't blame anyone for trying things in a very packed niche.
Objectively correct analysis of how bad builds focused on tick damage with the old pesti are in the new normal. Pesti gun damage >>> tick damage. Umbra, OD, ND, Virtuoso are all great platforms for pesti. Even Strikers is good but not my favorite.
You could go with that but you will lose a little damage output as a result. Swapping to the WH will lose 5% amplified damage from the perfect glass cannon on The Sacrifice and 8% critical hit chance from 2 pieces of Providence. But you gain 5% damage to armor from two pieces of walker harris which offsets it a little. A trade off for 10% less damage taken. Your call. It works.
The weapon damage buffs from gearsets doesn’t work with Plague of Outcasts. So essentially you would be running a Heartbreaker build with an LMG that has a small DoT. So not well.

Thanks. I always try and keep my videos only as long as they need to be in order to deliver the information. But, to be frank, it is shooting me in the foot a little because people see a 5 minute video and think it isn't long enough to cover everything.

Again, try it. There are other options but I find that I can keep perfect vigilance up most of the time during an encounter and in group play it is great.

His build is with the 1.8x applied from the global modifier. This build does 2.7m as well with the modifier.

One good thing about the build is that it’s meant to be ran in multiplayer legendary so outside of that of course it’s just amazing but not necessary.
