It’s a bit more expensive than the X4 and most probably you can have a good price on the old model but from what I see, there’s a lot of upgrades. I will make a more detailed video in a few hours, some mistakes slipped in to this first one on the vents. Some things aren’t even explained in the books manuals with it…
You have to bend the visor much more than you would think, check this: Arai Tour-X5 Function & PinLock Visor Design ruclips.net/video/EMw6ToWVvzw/видео.html
I have kind of an oval head and it sits very good, lower noise level than my old Shoie and slides deeper down over my chins while having a bigger field of view. This is what you will think of when you try it on, already after a few times. Now size wise, I could have a Medium but ended choosing a Large because, as it is designed, it should really only leave a small gap over your eyebrows (max a finger). You will find this a bit confusing because 1.5 width of finger is what you get with the medium also works and the stores often say buy it as tight as possible. Bottom line, if you can get it on with a then inner lining hat then you are good, if not, it’s too small and you have 1.5 fingers there. It’s also evident that the modular inner parts are much developed and you get the earphones for an intercom in there with perfect audio and fit. I’m going to reposition mine a bit and use some shrink tube to really get it nicely arranged, will show later video. Can’t say much more now, high speed riding is still to investigate. Good luck. Yeah it feels where light at hand but maybe I have bad old comparisons
Not yet. Will test it cold conditions in January to see how to set ventilation and avoid fog. Fits good but I guess depends from person. Have had the Chaser too, also works fine on me, seems Arai is universal within Arai. Not 100% on that.
Great to see an enduser review Richard. Very informative and accurately described. Enjoy your helmet and ride safe!❤
Thanks for posting this, I didn't realize anyone had these in stock yet. I just ordered one from Champion in Adventure Grey after watching your video.

How did you go installing the pin lock, it appears the one supplied is 10mm too wide

Are you happy with it?Any negatives?
How are the noise levels when riding on open roads - high speed?
