MISSING: Kadin Black

- On December 20, 2022, Kadin Black, a beloved 19-year-old son and brother, was reported missing in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. His family hadn’t heard from him for three days, and he had failed to show up at his dad’s house for a pre-planned get-together, which was out of character. The police immediately launched an investigation into Kadin’s disappearance, but there was no sign of him anywhere. It’s been just over 16 months since Kadin went missing, and investigators are still searching for him…
19-year-old Kadin Black last contacted his family on December 17, 2022. His phone connected to the WiFi at the Foust home on Vickilee Drive in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, at around 9:30 am on the 18th. At that time, his phone also pinged in the same vicinity. After 9:30, his phone was either turned off or died. No sign of Kadin has been found since then.
Kadin is a light skinned Black male with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5’10”, 160 pounds, and has an athletic build. It’s unclear what he was last wearing.
A Facebook page named "Find Kadin Black" has been created for people to learn additional information and keep Kadin’s name circulating.

I agree. Also, how can he sell Kadin's truck if Kadin's mom gave it to him?
I agree - and why did it take 3 days for him to call the mom, especially when the dad reached out to him on the 18th asking if he was ok because he couldn't get ahold of him. Not seeing him by the end of the day on the 18th should have been a red flag. My question is was his car looked at by the police, could something have happened in that car that got cleaned up and then sold to get rid of potential evidence. And why did he not use his own car to go to the bank? Also if his behavior did actually change over those past few weeks maybe something happened at that house before that ended up turning into a huge blowout which resulted Kadin dying whether accidental or not.
Exactly! Blocking them is strange, but selling the 4runner without speaking with the family is very suspicious!
Totally agree they need to look into him more. Also, can’t they see who he was texting or calling because if he left then he left with someone. There had to be a trail or his phone was shutoff for a reason by someone else.
As a kid, I remember 2 'kids" who came to live with my family when their parents moved away. Like out of state/country away. They came at different times and were friends with my older siblings. They each stayed until they graduated from HS. Nobody thought it was strange back then. They just wanted to finish their HS degrees before moving away. And since we already had 6 kids in our family, what's one more? It worked out well for both of them. I tell this story simply to point out that just because Kadin chose to live elsewhere for his senior year, it doesn't mean that his life at home was awful. Kadin seems like a very sweet young man and I hope that he is found safe and happy very soon.
I cannot thank you enough for covering this case. Im truly beyond grateful. This case hits my heart so much and his family has not gotten the investigation they deserve.

Chris Faust seems suspicious to me. Blocking the family, and selling Kadins SUV? Wth is up with that? The fact that his phone was still connected to the Fausts wifi when it was switched off or died is suss to me as well. Why was Kadins licence in Chris Fausts car, if Kadin had his own vehicle? I’m from this area and had no clue that this many African Americans from around here have gone missing. Something is obviously not right and needs to be investigated!

The insurance was under The Faust fathers name. Still, selling the care as if he’s not coming back is weird in itself..
But insurance is totally different than having a title and being legally able to sell a car. For example my sister's sons cars were all under her insurance but the cars are completely in the boys name and mom wasn't on the title.
According to a Redditor who's been following the case, Chris told Kara that the truck had to be placed in his name for insurance purposes, which she believed
@@Pandy879 that still doesn't make sense. You don't need to be the owner to be on the insurance policy.
@gingerhowe5247 the insurance was already in Foust's name. He lied to the mother in order to have the vehicle taken *out* of her name and into his. This is all according to the Redditor btw. In PA, the car just needs to be in a licensed driver's name. The insurance can be in anyone's technically, with anyone over legal driving age named on the policy.
Okay, after finishing the episode I AM going to jump to a conclusion. Chris, the man Kadin was living with, is absolutely involved in Kadin's death. I think Kadin is no longer with us because Chris sold his vehicle. He got rid of most likely a lot of evidence eith that truck. Did the police ever comb through that truck and test for blood?

Agree completely. Chris should’ve given Kadin’s truck to Kara and Maurice. He didn’t own it & had no right to sell it. Something occurred at the Faust home & Kadin was harmed.

My heart goes out to Kadin's family. I would like to know if the Foust family allowed their property to be searched? If they didn't, that would speak volumes. The actions of Mr Foust seem very susicious. Why didn’t he return Kadin's things to Maurice? Who just sells a missing person's property, or blocks the family?? I'm sorry, but those aren't the actions of an innocent person.

It is my understanding that during first few days they did a brief search of the residence but i believe that was just to see that he wasnt there. Up to now, there hasnt been enough probable cause for a warrant. They sold his car. That should be enough probable cause. Not to mention that was that last known place he was seen. The phone is gone and now his car is. They can track down the car with the ViN and have not done so. They also have not reached out to neighboring depts for help with the investigation. The town i live which is a short drive has a very high success rate in finding missing persons. Also, in the beginning the police believed he may have gone to Maryland where is mother lives. Now it is my understanding that because that is a different state, the FBI can become involved in the case. However, i think the police must request it. This is highly unusual for our area. The whole investigation has infuriated me from the beginning. It was so easy to say he ran away all because he had pending misdemeanor charges or that he was struggling with his mental health but we all know an 18 year old will not simply disappear and start over without being in contact with anyone. They have not searched the river and have not had large scale searches for him or evidence. It was only recent on Newsnation the police finally said that foul play may be involved. They bungled this from the beginning and they arent doing what is required by law to find him or further the investigation. This is a small department with limited resources. My heart breaks for his family. I recommend checking out the facebook page.
I am the parent of a formally missing child. There is NO WAY on earth I would have ever gotten rid of any of their possessions.

Why not offer Kadin's possessions & vehicle to his biological parents? Why would the father figure he was living with sell his vehicle? Again, he could have given it to Kadin's family.

@EmilyMineDesigns From what I understand, Chris didn't pay for the truck. It was a gift from Kadin's family. Also, if the concern was to recoup the money he put into the vehicle (repairs/mods, and the insurance) why didn't he allow Kara to purchase the truck BACK from him? I'm sure u can see how that would look super shady right?

@@EmilyMineDesigns it took them nearly an entire year before they even did a boots on the ground search for him. Not to mention the statements Chris made to YDR regarding visiting him in the psych hospital are lies and can be easily proven as such. In the recent interview with NewsNation they finally made a claim that foul play may be involved but never made mention of that to Cara. So yea they dropped the ball big time.
Why on earth was Kadin the one arrested and not the bus driver who tried to throw him out on the highway and then PULLED OUT HIS HAIR???

@jenniferj5324 I read the docket information, and JFC is it insane! There's 7 charges listed, and 2 of them are felonies. Btw, there's still an active bench warrant for Kadin 😒
I grew up in the area. It's overwhelmingly white and racism is still alive and well. Kadin was a Black man. If the bus incident happened in Wrightsville or the surrounding towns, the color of his skin may have been the determining factor of who the ¨aggressor¨ was.

Why would this Chris even be able to sell that. If he’s not a parent or someone who could inherit this thing what gives him the right to sell it. My gut instinct is something bad happened.
So apparently the deal is that the sus af Dad Foust told him he had to put it in his name for insurance purposes. He was on Foust insurance. That is INSANE and shady as hell
The vehicle was Chris’! He paid for all the repairs including a new engine, he paid the insurance, and he needed to recoup the money after he couldn’t work anymore.
@@EmilyMineDesignsKara bought the car...so no it wasn't Chris's. Making the repairs doesn't make a car yours. Paying the insurance doesn't make a car yours. Kara bought it so it was not his property. He could've made a deal with her to try to recoup the money but it was not his decision to make alone. Why are you sucking this dude's butthole rn?
The 4 runner was Chris’s? I think you may have that wrong as Kara is the one who gave Kadin that 4 runner.
Because he wasn't caught on cam anywhere, because his guardian waited days to look for him and report him missing and because the $ in his account was never used.....I think he never left that house. Also, the guy sold his property. Since he was defiant, he wouldn't have listened to the guy if he told him to do something. The totality of these circumstances, it just seems like it was Chris and his family. Also, deleting his online presence is very telling.

Anyone selling the items belonging to a missing person needs to be looked at very closely. That tells me for one reason or another, they know that individual is not returning, massive red flag 🚩

Was the Faust home thoroughly searched or was it just an initial walk through. And his 4Runner, was that searched too? Does the family he was staying at have solid alibis. At first, they didn’t seem suspicious, but blocking the victim’s family and selling his truck screams fishy. I hope they have answers real soon.
Did he ever leave the home like on his own? Something happened after he went to the bank. Something happened.

there is a creek back behind vickilee drive. however unless the faust house was at the very back, theres no way he would be able to connect to the internet by the creek, as the distance is roughly 250 feet.
Doubtful he left that home alive.

JMO , they Fouse dad seems suspicious . He lives there, and only reports him missing several days later🤔 Just my gut feeling . He stated they were close ,riding g bike , working on cars etc ? What else was he doing with him ? What’s his friend that he lived with say or think ? Selling his property ? He must know he’s not returning ?

Wow, this is a tough one. But from the very beginning of you stating he didn’t show up at his dad’s house, my first thought was that Chris Foust had everything to do with whatever happened. Idk why but that’s right where my gut feeling lies.

Law enforcement has not been able to search their home and property and the son has NOT spoken to the police to my understanding, and there has been no formal interrogation of anyone from that house.

Im not saying it isn’t true but id really like to know where you got that information because if it is true, i fully intend to make noise about this. Im from this area. You are talking about Wrightsville, PA correct?
If anyone watching knows anything please speak up. Make noise. Ik these police depts in these areas will often ignore cries and pleas but please dont stop trying. They need any information they can get even if it leads to a dead end. Someone knows something

I'm so heartbroken for Kadin and his family. I'm unfortunately not optimistic, but I truly hope things turn out well in the end for them. At the very least that his parents get answers and closure to this awful situation. Even though it's so slim, I hope Kadin is okay and comes home.
Honestly, the idea that today in 2024, with all of the CCTV, the digital footprints we leave (knowingly or otherwise) and the general sense that “They” are watching at all times, it’s terrifying that someone can just…disappear. I can absolutely see why some people think that if someone vanishes with no evidence of the above it’s not that it doesn’t exist - it’s that it’s being withheld for some reason. I don’t know what to think about that. But I DO agree that someone who has dogs and really loves them would be unlikely to just leave them of his own volition. I hope his family finds some resolution, I really do.

When his dad called and he was told he was sleeping, obvious not true , that family killed him , he's not out there. When his things weren't returned to his family shows what kind of ppl they are.
There is something really worrying about that Faust man who Kadin was staying with….
Chris called Kara to tell her Kadin was missing, but not Maurice who called him on the 17th looking for Kadin.
How could the friend legally sell the vehicle? If it was a gift from his mom, wouldn't it be registered in either the mom's or Kadin's name? How is legal for the non owner of a vehicle sell said vehicle?
It was in the Fausts name for insurance reasons but Kadin should have been on the title. To think they trusted these people to take care of their son

As soon as Chris said that it wasn’t unusual because the boys slept late and woke up late, I felt he was lying -- Kaydin was starting his business and had a job so I doubt he’s able to do that often… also he told Maurice he saw him but then backtracked and said he didn’t… shady
As a law enforcement officers wife I can indeed confirm that those wheels never stop spinning. My husband is not a detective, but he tends to discuss everyday arrests and scenarios. It is almost as his heart and mind are never settled.

I pray Kaydin is found and his family gets some answers!! As a Mom of a 17 year old (about to be 18 in August) , and a 22 year old daughter I can not imagine the pain of not knowing where they are!!
Look at the dad he was living with. This guy letting an 18 yr old boy not related to him live with there is weird.
It's actually not...if his son was friends with him. I have seen this situation happen quite often.

Something happening to him somewhere else doesn't make sense, because his phone was connected to the Faust's wifi when it turned off. The only way that this is possible is that he left the phone at home when he went out. BUT that means the phone would have been found in the Faust's home which it wasn't.
Quite obviously something happened to him in the house and someone let him and his phone dissappear. The question is why.
This case is very suspicious
