Yeah, of course, democrats are allowing weirdos to come out of the woodwork 🙄 they’re standing next to the woodwork saying „ok, guys, you can come out now“ 😂😂😂
A year already? Doesn't seem long ago you announced you would be starting this show! I've watched every episode (same as I do crime weekly and Stephanie's channel). Keep up the great work
I worked for Frank when I was a teenager. I was going to Bay Path for automotive and I started an apprenticeship with him. He definitely didnt have a good reputation and was a shady character/business man. I was interviewed by 2 FBI agents. They asked me about Frank and if I thought he was capable of committing a murder. I told them yes. He wasn't the type of guy you wanted to piss off.. I thought he was involved with the Mafia or some organized crime ring. He definitely acted and carried himself like one. One of the things I think about is that he always chewed on backwoods cigars. Rarely I would see him smoke one just kept in his mouth and chew the whole time. I told the agents that and also told them I never seen him smoke cigarettes like depicted in the police sketch. Probably nothing but one of the many random thoughts/memories that come from time to time.
Jobs that are in isolated areas and that require an individual to be alone for any period of time should consider having two individuals for those times that no one is around.
Yes! How many true crime cases have you seen where the victim was a lone gas station clerk/opening a store alone. I used to open a Tim Hortons alone at 3am and my true crime enthusiast mother made me quit as soon as she found out. I am thankful now.
Worked night shift at 7-Elevens in suburbs and the bar district a cumulative 10 years. Thankfully, I often had a second employee for the bar district in the university town. Though disappearing me in the suburbs would have been quite plausible. Left alone long enough, you start contemplating which items in the shop can be used as improvised weapons. Also, it's Canada, so I'm less likely to be shot. So I have a chance arming with canned goods behind the counter.
I love when you sprinkle in your perspective throughout the episode. It makes it seem more conversational- providing facts then thoughts on that section of the story is what I like. Congratulations on one year and episode 50! Looking forward to your next 50.
I too like it better when the tone gets a bit more conversational. More „unscripted“. ☺️ it’s easier to follow too. I hope this show will help some of these cases 🙏
i just made my 10 yr old daughter listen to your pool story .. she always says that i fear monger. i am so head-on-a-swivel with my kid to the point my co-school parents make fun of it .. but i say the same: takes one eye blink to change a life forever. i’m a mama honey badger, make fun of me all day, BUT not on my watch will that happen. ** i’m also a retired stenographer and have done so many trials where i saw up close and personal the dangers and evils that lurk. great job Derrick!!!
I swear, being a parent must be the hardest job in the world. Having your wits about you all the time, in order to protect your children, but also doing so without frightening them or making them anxious all the time is a real balancing act! Good luck to you! 💚
@ Matildasmama ... good for you! 💥👍 And, some day she'll completely understand. And, when she's older or blowing you off there are other stories to (HAVE TO) share ... ID 4, FSU Chi Omega are only 2 of hundreds (thousands of stories). At about ~ 14 (before high school) knowledge is POWER. And, leaves a lasting impression on innocent minds. And, following / waiting outside bathrooms when they're 10, 11, 12 ... still okay.
Which one is the pool story??! I’ve been wanting my 9 year old to listen to something bc she thinks I’m a fear monger too and doesn’t quite get why i set the rules that I do.
Two weeks ago we were all getting ready for a fishing trip and my oldest was outside practicing his casting with my youngest and my husband. My husband came in and I cussed him out to go right back outside because I was dealing with a meltdown from our middle child. He went out there and within a minute a woman drove up, turned off her car, and was eyeing my oldest as she was getting out of her car. When she locked eyes with my husband she shut the door and raced off. While we are in a pretty safe neighborhood that doesn't mean bad stuff won't happen. We never got a license plate or anything. My husband isn't as in to true crime as me and he grew up with quite a bit of freedom. Because of what happened he is now super paranoid as are my kids. Luckily nothing happened, but we are pretty sure she wanted to take my son. Don't let your kids out of your sight and make sure you use the buddy system.
I remember seeing this story on tv when I was very young. I had no idea she disappeared 2 days before I was born. And now I’m older than she ever was. I pray she gets justice soon and she can rest in peace
New subscriber here. Saw this on my feed, and had to watch it. Being born and raised in Massachusetts, and currently living in the next town over from West Warren where this happened, I can tell you this. There’s a lot of secrets some of these towns like to keep quiet. And there’s been ALOT of accusations surrounding this whole case that has never been made public. And I just hope and pray that one day all of the truth gets out. Love and Light from Western Massachusetts.
This case has always haunted me since it happened right down the street from my grandparents home. Thank you for sharing Mollys story, Derrick! Happy anniversary! 🎉
This came across my feed this morning, and being a resident of Warren, I decided to watch. I really enjoyed this format, and have just subbed. Thanks for covering Molly's story. Still praying for her family.
I have been watching true crime for years, started with the ID channel like most of us did. I am blown away by your story telling! I’m gathering by the comments you were part of a different channel, I haven’t seen it. You have quickly became my favorite true crime guy! Love your perspective on things.
You have got to watch crime weekly! And Stephanie Harlowe ❤ amazing coverage of cases that need it and deep dives. So much information you won’t hear anywhere else. They are great. Welcome to the fam! 😊
We had a case like Molly's in 2002. Ali Kemp was a lifeguard at a Leawood Kansas pool. She was murdered at the pool and found inside the pool pump room. Her murderer was found and has been in jail since 2004.
Since you did Molly you need to do Holly Piirainen. They are connected in many weird ways. The police and people here have always assumed they were taken by the same person.
This format is soooo much better!! I will watch you either way but this seemed more relaxed and I like how you added your thoughts throughout. Great job! Thank you for sharing these important cases.
Derrick, your breakdown of the case, victimology, timelines, potential profiles, theories, & commentaries help me appreciate all angles of the case. I think it helps us to go beyond the surface so that we can logically support (or refute) theories/leads. I haven’t seen a show like this and I’m definitely an enthusiast. You’re extremely bright, thoughtful, and articulate. Your experience from your career as a detective imparts methodology as well as wisdom. You offer your critique and rationale for why something should be considered in the investigation. You also explain what the holes are in the investigation and offer an argument as to what may have been compromised. Your full presentation of the case is organized even when the unknown is still a factor. Since these are unsolved, it can be frustrating to listen to these cases. However, I think as humans we want to feel a sense of resolve. The specifics of an ongoing investigation are not disclosed to the public for good reason. But your format allows us to care enough about the case and care enough about the victims so we can push past the frustration of the unknown; think beyond the description and delve into the deep nature of the case. Thanks for all you do💪🏽
I was raised in MA near where this happened. Every year, my town had a carnival and her parents would come down along with the local police and they would take kids fingerprints and updated pictures each year to enter the database. We had a billboard in the neighboring town that was up for years with her picture and the number to call in case we knew anything. I remember not knowing much other than the basics but seeing her picture on that billboard kept her in my mind for years. Thank you so much for covering this case, it's so important!
I love this format where you give your thoughts and perspective as the story unveils and then do a recap at the end. I hope the case will be solved so Molly's family can have some peace after this tragedy.
Congratulations on the first anniversary of Detective Perspective! I like that you're covering this well-known case - it needs to be solved, just like every other unsolved murder. I like the format you used in this episode, where you give your perspective throughout the episode, with a short recap at the end.
I completely understand how you feel about the bathroom situation. My sister in law ticked me off the other day when she sent my nephew into the mens room at a public water park by himself, he's only 7. I was like, you take that baby in the womens bathroom with you!!!!
Yes- please give your perspective throughout the video. Its much easier to understand as you go vs trying to reference something you said 20+ minutes prior. Thank you for the hard work!!
I like hearing your perspectives throughout the story and then the recap at the end. You are always so thorough. Thank you for all the research you do to help the families of their loved ones.
I much prefer you giving your perspective as you tell the story rather than wait until the end. It feels more cohesive. I also prefer a head on only camera view rather than different angles. You do not need visual effects to keep the viewer engage as you are a great conversational speaker. Great job! Look forward to the next one!
One of the first true crime documentaries I watched was about Molly, and I always hoped her killer would be caught. It's so sad that there are still no answers :(
People make fun of gen x but hearing these stories honestly makes me wonder how we survived. It made us better parents in a lot of ways. We didn’t want to make the same mistakes our parents did. I was a helicopter parent and thinking back there were times things could have gone so wrong with my son.
I enjoy and respect you Derrick, but i still dislike all the camera angles lol. I feel the more intimate, single camera speaking directly to us is the best and most powerful engagement. Your personality and commitment don't require flashy effects. IMHO. I mostly just listen anyways so there's that. 🎉❤Congrats on the milestones 🎉
I was a young child in a neighboring city when this case occurred. It very much impacted the surrounding communities and Molly has not been forgotten 💔
I was hoping you'd do this one! She is local to me, and I was just graduated high school when this happened, and I remember my parents not letting me have any freedom for a while because they were so scared. This case still makes everyone in our area sad.
I have always lived on the Cape, and I remember being 13 and hearing about Molly's abduction... It terrified and haunted me that you could just be enjoying your summer and vanish. As an adult, I worked with her sister and I always wondered how she managed to carry on and stay strong after such a painful event. Thank you for keeping her case in people's minds 💖
Thank you for covering Molly Bish's case I had never heard of this case. Maybe cuz Im on the West Coast but glad you decided to cover it. Thanks for all you do!
Happy Anniversary 🎉!! Congratulations to all your subscribers. Thank you, for giving advice and awareness how we can protect ourselves better. This is my first time with hearing this case.
Thank you for covering Molly’s case. We in the MA area have more than likely heard of it, I have, and I’m in NH, but others outside the area may not have. You are possibly helping her case. You never know and you can’t not report about these cases. This is one I would hope there was some dna but 3 years is a long and damaging time. Any other abductions at the time? It was not a well known watering hole except to locals. So perplexing. The dump truck guy could have come back around. I hope he was really checked out. My heart goes out still to her family.
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a year! I’ve been here since the first episode, and pray you continue to bring a voice to the missing. Keep up the great work you do!
Just absolutely love this channel. Thank you so much for your perspective and experience given in a factual and informative way that shows respect to the victims and their families. I’ve watched a few cases on other channels where I hope the family or loved ones never watch or see. I have never felt that way about your videos. Thank you again!
Congratulations Derrick 🎉. I’ve been here since day 1! Stephanie/Crime Weekly/Detective Perspective! ❤ I can’t wait to tell my grown daughters, who think I’m a little over protective, your pool story. I am realizing that’s most true crime channels are finding their most lucrative audience on Podcast form. I’m a visual person so I prefer YT and always wait a day later for the episodes to hit YT. Congrats on 1 million uploads on your podcast, also!
I’m with you I much prefer some visuals , really appreciated when maps are utilised and or footage from the time of the case at the crime scene , just helps give a better understanding of the area and circumstances in my opinion
Whoa! Big Brother! I was listening to you while working out and then glanced and saw you. Mane you’re my favorite winner from Big brother. Such a smooth game you played. Subscribed.
This is from my area. I lived in Warren... Her house still has a sign in front about her tragedy.. I feel so much for her family. It's unimaginable that this could happen in this tiny sleepy town. It's just not the type of place that we think this could happen. I pray we find who did this and have them get the justice they deserve.
What an amazing past year it’s been with your show! I can’t tell you how much I truly look forward to Tuesday’s. You do an incredible job presenting the cases as well as giving us your experience, insight and perspective on each case. I will be here each week for just as long as you will be here.
Congratulations on the 1 yr anniversary!! I’ve watched every episode right from the beginning and cannot believe its been 50 episodes. I’ve found every single one so interesting and your presentation is absolutely outstanding. With the calibre of quality you provide i imagine this channel will continue to grow as more people find this amazing content. 💜🇦🇺
I lived very close to Molly Bish and was very close in age to her when she went missing. It is still very talked about. You should do a video on Britney Tee. She went missing from my town of Brookfield a little over a year ago. No one knows what happened to her. Her family is devastated.
Thank you for shedding light on this. It’s my home town and her sister, Heather is the biggest advocate for Molly and so many other people and their families state and country wide ❤
I am a big true crime enthusiast. And your channel is one of my favorites.I've been here since the beginning. Keep going. You are doing a great great job
The fact that she hadn’t left her clothes with the chair or near the pond would say to me she didn’t go for a swim. Also she left the 2 way radio there which to me would indicate that she didn’t go for a walk or wander off either especially without her sandals. Someone definitely knew she was going to be there and was aware they didn’t have long to take her before others would turn up. I think the fact that the first man who abducted the other young blonde girl not far away, left her body within a few miles of her abduction site, and looked very similar, was very interesting . Was the mother of Molly shown photos of the man taken close to the time she was taken, because people can change a lot over a short time. I hope they get the monster that did this and the family can finally be assured he is named.
Derrick, I just recently went back on discovery+ & watched both seasons of Breaking Homicide. I so wish it would come back. The work you do, the empathy you bring the families, You are phenomenal at what you do & deserve all the blessings! You’re my favorite person to watch when it comes to crime. Thank you for everything you do for these families as well as making us aware. 🙏🏼🖤
Congrats on 1 year + 50th episode! Love the work you are doing for unsolved cases. Been with you since the beginning of CW and “DP” 😉 Can’t get enough! ❤
Happy Anniversary Derrick!! So proud of you!!! It took a little bit for you to grow on me when Crime Weekly started (I ❤️ Stephanie) but now you’re one of my favorites! Keep up the great work 🤘🏼🫶🏼
I remember when this tragedy happened. Molly was just living her life and someone evil was waiting for the opportunity. I bet he watched her routine for days. I’m so frustrated for Molly and Holly’s loved ones. Thank you for covering this case. My heart and prayers go out to all affected by this huge loss. 🙏🏻⚖️🕯️
Congratulations Derrick! Been here since premiere, haven’t really missed a case. I appreciate your hard diligence and passion to bring attention to cases like Molly’s and others. However, you choose to share your perspective is fine with me. Praying for answers for Molly’s family!
Congratulations on the 1 year anniversary! I have been here for your journey as well. Although I have not had any information to help on these cases, I appreciate the publicity and hope that there are people who know something and say something. Keep up the great work, Derrick!
congratulations on 1 year and all of your continued success, Derrick! I personally like the DP throughout the episode. a lot of times you have to stop yourself and say you’ll do it at the end. I think it is more cohesive and love that it would be easier on you too! Keep being great!
Derrick I'm grateful for the work you do. This case has haunted me since the first time I heard it. I'm sure you get this request all of the time but what happened to Maura Murray? Obviously a majority believes foul play, somebody has to know something!
Great epidsode Derrick. I appreciate that you will cover more popular cases because I do always appreciate hearing your take on the case. I prefer that you give your perspective where it naturally fits into your case coverage and not wait for the ending segment. Thanks for going live the other day. It was fun ❤
Been with u since episode one and plan on staying for many many more. CONGRATULATIONS and wow, the year has gone by quickly. Appreciate all you do. Much love from central Scotland ♡♡♡
The sketch seems so good. And being that the person was prob a local or had been, it still blows my mind the person in the sketch has never been identified.
Hey there! I’m coming from Stephanie’s channel. I love your style video and appreciate your commentary along the way instead of bulk at the end. Can’t wait for more videos 😊
Congratulations on the 1 year anniversary and 70,000 subscribers! I’ve been watching DP since the first episode, although I don’t comment often. Just wanted to say thank you for shedding light on these cases!
Great coverage, again! Thank you so much for what you do here. I’ve been following this case since it happened. Hope it gets resolved soon, for the sake of her family. 🙏
I really like when you give your perspective as you go. There is often a lot to unpack in intervals that I might forget parts of the story details if you wait til the end. Thank you.
I'm soooo happy for you and for this channel! What you're doing is soooo important for many many people. I'm there since the first episode! French canadian from Quebec!❤
I had not heard of this case before. Thanks for covering it. Congratulations on one year of DP. I appreciate what you do for victims and their families. Prayers and thoughts to Molly’s family. May this case be solved soon and justice be served.
I hate that her mom was trying so hard to be aware of things, and this still happened.
This is hard. She did all the right things and It still happened. Heartbreaking
The thing is, no matter how aware you are about foul play, some criminal is lurking for an opportunity.....and there's always an opportunity.
Happy anniversary to Derrick and all us detective perspective fans ❤️😃 Been here since the premiere ❤️
I personally like it when you give your perspectives throughout the video because it gives me more to think about 😃
I agree!
Me too
Me too
💯
YES I love it with the perspective throughout
"He continued to break the law up to his death"
And that's why I am on team Consecutive, not Concurrent.
Yup!
I lifeguarded alone at a lake in RI around the same time. Weirdos come out of the woodwork. This case strikes close to home. Thanks for doing it.
Democrats allow this!
Corruption is real. Please stop voting democrat. Democrats = Corruption & Lies
Yeah, of course, democrats are allowing weirdos to come out of the woodwork 🙄 they’re standing next to the woodwork saying „ok, guys, you can come out now“ 😂😂😂
Hi! What lake in RI? I live in Warwick Rhode Island🙂
I was a 13 year old Massachusetts girl when Molly disappeared. This case will ALWAYS stick with me. Thank you for covering it so tactfully.
A year already? Doesn't seem long ago you announced you would be starting this show! I've watched every episode (same as I do crime weekly and Stephanie's channel).
Keep up the great work
Derrick’s channel is the best! I’d rather watch just him, the other content creator he’s done videos with can be so rude! That’s just my opinion.
I love crime weekly too 🥰 i like a bit of banter 😁 I don’t think it’s rudeness.
@@LittleKikuyu that’s fine, as I said it’s only my opinion. I don’t expect everyone to agree with little ol’ me.
@Ellegirle Yeah I love Stephanie! Can't say I agree lol

I much prefer you giving your perspective as you tell the story rather than wait until the end. It feels more cohesive. I also prefer a head on only camera view rather than different angles. You do not need visual effects to keep the viewer engage as you are a great conversational speaker. Great job! Look forward to the next one!
I prefer……. Multiple camera angles. lol.
One of the first true crime documentaries I watched was about Molly, and I always hoped her killer would be caught. It's so sad that there are still no answers :(
Your perspective throughout is great!
People make fun of gen x but hearing these stories honestly makes me wonder how we survived.
It made us better parents in a lot of ways. We didn’t want to make the same mistakes our parents did.
I was a helicopter parent and thinking back there were times things could have gone so wrong with my son.
Thank you for the video 🤍
1 year - 50 episodes 🎉
Congratulations 😊
I prefer when you give your perspective as you go. It's easier to follow along :)
Congrats on one year! Really appreciate the work you do!
Congratulations Derrick on your (our) 1st Anniversary of DP and on 70,000 subscribers!
Thank you for caring about each and every case you review, you are my favorite podcaster!
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a year! I’ve been here since the first episode, and pray you continue to bring a voice to the missing. Keep up the great work you do!
New follower here, and love how you presented this case. Great work.
Thanks for sharing 💜 Congratulations on the one year anniversary 🎉
Happy Anniversary Derrick, this is one of my favorite RUclips channels.
Thanks for what you do Derrick.
Whoa! Big Brother! I was listening to you while working out and then glanced and saw you. Mane you’re my favorite winner from Big brother. Such a smooth game you played. Subscribed.
Clicked on this video because it looked interesting, didn't expect to see a big brother winner on here. Glad to see your success Derrick
TY. i really appreciate the work you and your team do. Clear, concise, and thought provoking
I really like this format, seems to flow well and keeps my interest level up. 😊
Thank you for covering this story. This was my first time ever hearing it! I truly pray she gets the justice she deserves 🙏🏾
Congrats Derrick ! I am shocked you aren’t at 1 million yet!! Thank you for all that you do!
Great epidsode Derrick. I appreciate that you will cover more popular cases because I do always appreciate hearing your take on the case. I prefer that you give your perspective where it naturally fits into your case coverage and not wait for the ending segment.
Thanks for going live the other day. It was fun ❤
Happy one year Derrick! Thank u for all you do for the crime community! ❤
Happy Anniversary! I learn so much from your information! Thank you! ❤
Actually that’s well said… I didn’t realize that “learn” was applicable but you’re correct! I have learn from Derrick as well!
It's such a sad world 🌍 that some creep is sitting waiting to abduct someone. Everyone please be more cautious out there.
Your work is appreciated 😊
Happy one year anniversary DP!! I been here since the premier and this podcast is so special. Here's too many more years to come! Thank you Derrick
100% AGREED!
Thanks Derrick for another great episode. Congratulations on a year strong. I'm looking forward to the next 50 episodes.
Hey there! I’m coming from Stephanie’s channel. I love your style video and appreciate your commentary along the way instead of bulk at the end. Can’t wait for more videos 😊
Perfect timing. Good evening Derrick and everyone else 👋🏻
Hi! What time is it where you are? It is 12:05pm where I am.
@@Barlibee Hey. It is just past 5pm in the UK
Congratulations on one year and 50 episodes! I’ve appreciated each and everyone of them and appreciate you for all you do.
Great timing! This case has always bothered me
I really like when you give your perspective as you go. There is often a lot to unpack in intervals that I might forget parts of the story details if you wait til the end. Thank you.
Congratulations on your anniversary! Thank you for what you do!!!❤
I'm soooo happy for you and for this channel!
