This is not confirmed and i don't know if this is the company's plan or not but Fearless-Antifragile-Unforgiven might be a trilogy. In Fearless, Antifragile mvs in the end they usually hint a sentence about the next comeback ("do you think im fragile?" in Fearless and "do you want to be forgiven" in antifragile). But they didn't spoil any in unforgiven mv. This could honestly just because they haven't planned their next comeback yet and some fans just overthinking but Fearless, Antifragile and Unforgiven has similarities in that it is about empowering and confident to overcome obstacles and walk your own path. It would be cool if this would be a trilogy that covers LE SSERFIM first chapter and they will explore deeper and change up their concept a bit in their next chapter of their career.

Big Hit Entertainment did this alot with BTS back in the day. But instead of them giving hints to their next comeback in their songs, it was shown more in the album names (e.g. LY series being inspired by Carl Jung) and their end of year award show performances (can't think of an example at the top of head, sorry!).

    • @moonies321

@@the.chocolatefactory yessss! BTS discography can be distinct easily through their trilogies or series. Their debut era were heavily hiphop influenced and very intense, rebellious concept. Then their HYYH era were less intense but more emotionally explore the beauty and difficulties of the youth. Then Wings era then the iconic trilogy LY, and ofcourse our MOTS duo. It also might be because LE SSERAFIM's current creative director - Nu Kim, used to work with BTS (and TXT too i think) back then so Bang PD and this creative director might be building a similiar path in developing LE SSERAFIM's discography and concept. In my opinion, both BTS and LE SSERAFIM (and TXT too) concept involved and build more on feelings/emotions storytelling rather than simply just choosing a visually pretty concepts. BTS deeply explore stages of life (rebellious teenage, youth) and indentity (difficulties of excepting, loving oneself, or exploring your personas and shadows). While LE SSERAFIM current concept is about being confident in yourself and your path depsite imperfections and bravely embracing your flaws and becoming stronger by it. Most kpop groups' discography don't really connect cohesively in terms of meaning which is totally fine but given how Bang Pd is closely involving in music production of LE SSERAFIM too, I wouldn't be surprised if they plan on taking this route. I honestly feel like unforgiven could have been my fave out of all three but ... the chorus... is just really not my style. I have the same thoughts as the vid mentioned: it felt like a chorus you would do at the very end to keep ppl on their toes, but they needed something meatier in the middle. (it does seem polarizing, ppl either love or hate the chorus lol)

No one said the 2023 versions were remixes. The idea of this album is to compile the songs related to lesserafim's lore and story to make the end of the trilogy which is Unforgiven work. That's the reason why antifragile, the hydra and impurities are there. But to make this work they are required to remove her voice from the fearless tracks included here cause it's lawsuit time for hybe if they added her voice. She's not part of the company, the company cannot profit off of her voice for this release (again). Now if they really want to shade her they should've rerecorded everything but no right? The Fearless EP is still there, her contents from when she was still part of the group and the company are all still there. And to say that no groups rerecord their songs after a member leave well I'll give you one, it's Stray Kids I'm a fan of this group and they released albums full of their old songs without woojin in it. For Nmixx they removed Jinni's photos on Instagram when she left.

This song sounds like something you would play in a convertible (or not) in highspeed. I totally agree with the styling and the sets being too similar to antifragile. Honestly I kinda (feared) and expected this cb to be like this after they released the mv teaser with the chorus. It's not a bad song and not not something to hate upon, just something not for everyone and could be a grower. I definietely appreciate how they joined forces with a decorated musicain like Nile Rogers (from a different background) and came up with a K-pop track. Overall, kinda anticlimactic considering how the teaser photos made it look like it was gonna be dark and mysterious and prolly have a storyline but that once again was foreshadowed to be wrong 'cause of the mv teaser.

I mean it does have a storyline from what I read.
In Fearless they represent the "seraphim" concept, which is an angel with 6 wings, symbol of perfection. Then, on Antifragile, the angel loses one of it's wings, and, since it is no longer perfect, it gets exiled from the heavens, and has to learn to live amongst humanity. Then, in Unforgiven, it is no longer an angel, and the scene where Kazuha tears appart the wing represents the total separation from the
      "fallen angel" concept.
What this implies is that the "seraphim" storyline has finished, and next comeback will be something completely new.
Got the storyline from this person.

so in regards to fearless ep song remake: I think, legally, they're probably no longer allowed to use Garam's voice for any new content/releases, and therefore would not have been able to include those songs on the album had they not re-recorded. In all liklihood, the plan from the beginning was to release 2 eps and then a third 'full' album with songs from the EP and some new tracks (as you mentioned, they're not the first to do this; notably, BTS does this, so it's not surprising since Bang PD + bighit producers are closely involved with the group.) Inability to include songs from the fearless EP would have ruined that.
So I don't think they're intentionally trying to 'scrub' anything. I think the fairer question to ask would be: why did they not change their plans and release another EP instead? I can understand, logistically, it probably made sense to go forward with their initial plans, but, surely, they must have expected to receive some backlash, so it would have been worth reconsidering at least.... (but then again they clearly didn't do any user testing for the album art, so..)
I say this specifically because the last thing we need is people bringing that poor girl back into this mess again and hating on sserafim for something they literally have no control over
for the most part, though, I agree re: the way it was marketed as a full length album. I don't think there was any reason for it. And as you mentioned, BTS following this strategy (literally for the majority of their career) was more palatable because their EPs were longer and they generally put out more music.

Antifragile is still my number one title track but I still enjoy Unforgiven very much, i feel like Antifragile was so fresh and good that people expected something better, which is realistically hard. I also don't understand why they include some old songs in it, i thought they would remix it but they basically just the same old but 5 members ver. Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard's Wife is my fav bside and the performance, choreography of it is sooooo good, definitely the next Blue Flame, Impurities for me. I personally love most of the album. I spent like the week before the release reminding myself that this is not Antifragile. By doing this I didn't really lower my expectations I just made them realistic. Antifragile as of now is their Magnum Opus. To put an example I will take Ive and Love Dive, Love Dive and Antifragile where amazing, 2022 Soty material, after that Ive released After Like which wasn't as good as Love Dive but it was still an amazing song, same with Le Sserafim, Unforgiven is not Antifragile and people need to see that, then they might actually enjoy it. About the 6 older songs I am dissapointed, even a somewhat different chorus or a different something would have been acceptable. In conclusion Unforgiven is not Antifragile, Source should made actual remixes of 2022 songs and if they were not going to do that (which isn't necesarily a bad thing) they should have at least included 1 or 2 more bsides. Anyway fimmies and Nile slayed and all these thing aren't in their control, they did the best with what was given to them.

I felt like I was wanting more from the story-telling aspect of the era. If the company wanted the group to have some form of lore or an anthology (hence them including bits of Fearless and Anti-fragile into the "full album"), it does not translate well enough that the fans will be able to instantly understand the intention of the company for the brand of Le Sserafim as a group. I liked this cb a lot but I agree it is flawed in a lot of ways- not badly flawed but more like a dozen small cracks. On one hand- all of le sserafims title tracks have had to grow on me so I think Unforgiven will do so as well. I actually like it a lot- it’s very catchy and the spaghetti western sounds are so fun in a Kpop song. I think a lot of people had the experience with antifragile of ‘love at first play’ so they’re a bit disappointed and harsh on Unforgiven.
I do think that the song lacks impact. I had this same issue with another recent Hybe labels release- super from seventeen. I wanted it to go full on pedal to the floor and it stayed a bit too mellow for me as opposed to something like Hit. With Unforgiven it never crescendos the way I want it to and the way the styling and the whole vibe of the cb promises it will. It stays a bit too cute and polished. I do sort of hope that now that we are getting away from the pre-planned trilogy from debut- we may get some more spontaneity and risk-taking from this group.
My other issues I have with this cb are a bit nit-picky- like I don’t understand the styling for Unforgiven being so similar to Antifragile when cowboy aesthetics are so popular in Kpop. Like groups are wearing cowboy hats for no reason- why are you wearing jeans in the finale of your song?
Also there’s a bizarre scene in the finale cuts where they are all wearing different colored wigs. It must be something they filmed more scenes of and didn’t use- but for some reason they used like a single second of all the girls in different colored bob wigs and it rattled me a bit because it was so out of place.
I don’t get why they padded the runtime of the album with the antifragile songs. I mean at least with the remakes I do understand they redid the songs without a member who left. I don’t know if I agree with the decision but I do see why the decision was made. But no decision good or bad was made with the antifragile songs- they’re just here for some reason.
Don’t get me wrong- I do like this cb. The only reason I am so nit-picky is that I think these tiny flaws in the cb are noticeable when your group has all the major parts working. When you get the big stuff sorted out- that’s when you can start focusing on the details. In general le sserafim have the big things figured out- concept, sound, members, performance, charm- they’ve got all that in spades. I think when they iron out some of these little things in future comebacks they’ll be even more unstoppable.

It's not that of a big deal actually. I mean, BTS or blackpink didn't reach on the top with perfect albums. Their fandoms grew bcuz of the music they kept bringing, so we don't have to worry about this album either. Music is different for everyone. We cannot have same tastes and that's fine. And yes the hype made was over the top and I agree some people might got a bit upset after it finally released. But believe me, u and I would never know the story behind the scenes so it's kinda unfair to even make assumptions at that point.
I think the greatest part about HYBE is, that they never let their artists join the race of conservative kpop i.e. make the same a** music that is going trending these days. Musicality is what HYBE is know for and they never let that go despite any number of hate they get.
So basically, this album was how I imagined it to be but maybe there were people who r not hardcore fans of le sserafim so they couldn't discern the comeback meticulously. But it's fine.

Fearnot is a fan song. And Younjin, a massive fan of Tayler Swift, was heavily involved in creating the song, including producing. And about the album's lack of cohesion, yes I agree with that, but I don't know how many cohesive albums have come out of the KPOP idol industry so far. I too wish there were more new songs. For negative reactions, I think there are two parts to the story. Some people were genuinely disappointed because they liked Anti more, and some people blindly hating on it because Le Sserafim is one of the main rival girl groups to their favorite girl group. Just like two fan bases from two different sports teams shitting on opposite teams. Overall I like the new songs.

Kpop doesn't see albums as works of art. It's just random songs slapped together to sell a product. I think that's paradoxically why kpop insist so much on overusing the world "concept", because they lack substance but try to pretend like they do. A true concept for an album is something like Lemonade or After hours, that's why Bey and Abel don't even need to use that word to describe their work cause it goes without saying. Kpop on the other hand has to slap it onto everything to give you the illusion that it's deep and well thoughtout when it's not, because there is simply not enough time in between releases to make a true cohesive album.

My biggest gripe with Unforgiven as a song, I think, is the verses. I really like the pre-chorus and chorus, I think they're super catchy, but the verses feel like the producers and lyricists didn't know what to put in-between choruses so they just had the girls repeat the word "unforgiven" a bunch of times and called it a day. As for the MV, it feels weirdly disconnected, like they tried to do a whole storyline with lore and stuff, but we only get to see each scene once or twice for a couple of seconds and then never again, and none of them seem to have any kind of connection to each other. It comes off as just a bunch of random shots of the girls looking cool af, while simultaneously trying to tell us a story that is just not translating. It's a good comeback, I'll definitely be bopping to it in the weeks to come, but it had the potential to be so much better imo.

The exclusion of Sour Grapes is especially concerning because fans immediately labeled it Garam's song at debut. OT5 remixes would have been amazing. Garam-less tracks just highlight the absence of her vocal tone and remind me of the potential OT6 Le Sserafim could have been... just when I was starting to get over it. It sonically feels like picking at a scab. Source Music needs to let us heal.

I agree overall with your take on the title track. I did not expect the girls to try and outdo Antifragile either, in general I don’t have that kind of mentality with the artists I listen to because I know how ridiculous those kind of expectations are and quite frankly, very unfair. However, I also did not expect myself to actually dislike the song so much either. It’s very underwhelming for me, I actually liked Fearless therefore I would place this one as my least ‘favorite’ title track from them. I think for me too, the biggest problem with the song is the chorus, I usually don’t mind when a song uses repetition, however, in this case I do feel like it’s being overdone, and although somewhat catchy, it becomes annoying towards the end. I wish they were more inspired, and maybe did something else for the final chorus or something. I think they were so focused on trying to make the song as catchy as possible by using the repetition technique, from the word unforgiven, certain phrases and even the sample in the background, that they didn’t realize how forced it was starting to become. My favorite part is the prechorus, I LOVE songs that are very melodic, and I wish they did that more throughout the song. As for the video, I actually enjoyed it. Yes I understand some of the ‘complaints’ people have however, I personally enjoyed the styling and sets, it made sense to me since this was supposed to be a continuation to Antifragile. My opinion is that the song will probably grow on some people, however, I don’t see it having the same kind of longevity as their previous songs because it is so underwhelming. As for the album, I liked ‘Eve..’, now something like THAT should have been the title track IMO.

I agree, I didn't put too much expectation when I first heard the teaser but apparently for me, that teaser just summarized the whole song. As much as I like Le Sserafim's discography, I couldn't finish the song on the second listen due to how repetitive it becomes. Personally, my favourite from the album are Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard's Wife and Fire in the Belly and it feels like a better choice for title track but it may becomes too 'similar' to Antifragile.

I agree with everything else said here, people just don't let kpop groups have just an "okay" comeback it's either groundbreaking or it's trash and it's such a weird way to view music to me as someone who genuinely loves music. Very little groups can drop SOTY type of title tracks every comeback nor can they meet every single person's expectation, I wish people gave groups more grace when it comes to things like this especially rookie groups that barely have a footing yet, it's almost like you start to get passes on releasing "bad" music once you're a senior and incredibly popular which feels very backwards if anything.
I'm definitely not obsessed with unforgiven like I was antifragile but it''s fine and I really didn't like the 2nd half of the chorus when I first listened but now it's definitely grown and it's just a standard good song to listen to sometimes. I do think the pauses in the mv along with how much was spoiled prior really did dampen it though, it took me listening to it with the rest of the album to settle with me. As for the bsides though I absolutely love all of them, even fearnot is pretty although it's not my type of listen. No Return I wasn't sure about but now it's almost my favorite song. and the rest i loved immediately. this album to me is a repackage along the lines of the reve festival finale rather than a proper full album and I believe it was always planned to be this way. they teased antifragile at the end of fearless and unforgiven at the end of antifragile, I believe this album is meant to be the “finale” of their “negatives” trilogy (I know there’s a proper word for the -less, anti-, and un- usages but I can’t think of it). now with that in mind I do agree that the ot5 versions of the fearless songs is very shitty towards garam because regardless of how true her scandal is or isn’t it’s messy and disrespectful to put her through all of that just to erase her entire existence after only 2 weeks of activity. HOWEVER, if the plan from the beginning was to combine pieces of the other albums into this one then ot5 versions are the only option here since hybe and source would have to deal with a lot of extra legal work to be allowed to include the original ot6 versions with garam on them. it’s much easier and more cost effective for them to re-record her parts for the release. I do still believe it’s a shitty thing to do and garam was severely screwed over but from a business, legal, and financial standpoint I completely understand why they did it.

Because I was familiar with that, when I saw the 2023 ver of the Fearless songs, I assumed they just rerecorded the songs without Garam. Why would Hybe feel the need to do that? No clue. This situation was/is completely different from the Woojin situation, with what happened with Woojin the public just has no clue what happened so it's pretty nuanced. With Garam, it's clear that Hybe fucked up which just makes it all confusing. Was I surprised? No, I was actually expecting it. Was I confused at the point? Yes.

It still bothers me why they didn't make all OT5 versions of the Fearless Album, but only three songs. It just feels dumb because the company didn't fully commit. Stray Kids did, and they had a good amount of music with Woojin before he left Stray Kids, so why and what is the point.. is the big question indeed.

To the people that keep mentioning SKZ it’s definitely a different situation that’s a compilation album it’s not a full studio album so it makes sense that they would re-recorded the songs because a member isn’t there anymore. Even EXO recently re-recorded their single Bird Because they only had 6 members on the original and now 8 members on the re-recorded track. But Both these are different situations.
The problem most people had with the re-recording of songs from their previous ep is they were not necessary… (at least from some fan’s view) I mean the question is instead of re-recording old songs what stopped Source music from adding new tracks
And probably releasing a REPACKAGED ALBUM with re-recorded tracks after (which is basically what this album seems like) after.
I’m an EXO fan and EXO have so many REPACKAGE albums so I literally have no problem with old songs on an album
the problem some fans have is that the album was promoted as a full studio album when it’s definitely a Repackaged album.

Fearless, Antifragile and Unforgiven are all interconnected and represent three parts of a larger story and message. They make up a trilogy, and if you watch the Antifragile music video, you can see a reference to Unforgiven after MV was over "Do you want to be forgiven?". The girls worked hard not to reveal too much about their next title song, "Unforgiven", as it was part of their plan all along.
Part of me wondered why Fearless and Antifragile were included on the album at 1st place, and I wished they had included more new songs instead 4 sure. However, it is natural to include all three parts of the trilogy on the same album. Perhaps it was more than just laziness that led to their inclusion. While some people may dislike this approach, labeling it only as the result of laziness seems a bit too harsh to me.
When Metallica released the Black album, some people, actually tons of people, loved it but some people absolutely hated it because it was not Battery or Master of Puppets.
If people do not like Unforgiven because it is not Antifragile, they need to deal with it.
And if Unforgiven was more dirty and ashy, people would hate the song because of it.

Only now have I finished watching your video, so I want to say I'm agree with you on basically every your point.
It's good comeback, if Antifragile was 10/10, this was 8/10. I'm definitely gonna listen at least 3 songs: Unforgiven; Eve, Psyche; Fire in the Belly. It's just if it was EP, it would be much more appreciated.
Also, what Unforgiven lacks, I can tell you. The pre-chorus builds up to something really massive, it's a crazy build up actually, I was all pumped up expecting crazy chorus. And chorus just wasn't crazy. Even if you leave this chorus, but make a build-up less intense, you would much more.
Another thing is their album art. I get what people say about it, but personally I really like it. First, at least here they have steady concept with it being white and minimalistic. Second, it's not muddy, it's burned. So it fits the concept of the title track really good. In the end, it's not the cover what makes album great. It's a great album, that makes album cover legendary.
Like, take Nirvana's swimming baby, I wasn't born ofc when it was released, but I don't see this cover as something extraordinary. But because the album itself became legendary, the cover also became such.
Tho you have to release legendary album for it to happen.
Overall, I like the album, but I don't see it being rising Le Sserafim to new heights, like Antifragile did, or like IVE's album did to IVE.
And about all shady things with Garam etc. I can let it pass, personally, it's just there's simple rule, which I don't know why they're disregarding. If you choose between something being controversial and trying to make it not controversial, ALWAYS pick the second. Why would you do anything controversial at all? It's not like you couldn't predict it's gonna be controversial. That, and their 6 out 13 songs being old, is really really lazy, and I really don't like it.
Also, it may not be important for many, but for me, again. Every their performance, WHY DON'T they sing live? They CAN do it, why don't they? Look at IVE, who would've expected THEM out of all to sing live, but they do, and they do great! And that's one of the contributors to their's album success. Why don't Le Sserafim do it?

Personally, I think is more about legal stuff so is more complicated and I don’t want to go to that party.
Now onto the album, is not bad but is not good, beating Antifragile will be hard, Unforgiven grew on me after 2 or 3 listens (that doesn’t mean is a bad song), my faves are the Bluebeard song (long a$$ title I never remember and I probably never will), Fire on the Belly (arriba mi gente latina, Marc Anthony, World Cup vibes, LOOOOVE IT) and No Return is cute love the choreo, I feel ppl who say those songs are so bad in their opinion just hate fun, I thought ppl wanted fun but oh well, for tastes, colors. Fearnot is cute and Flash Forward is relaxing and pretty, 8/10 imo.

I think the main reason people don't like this song compared to Anti-fragile, it's not because Unforgiven is not Anti-fragile, (I mean duh) but because it kinda tries to be, maybe not in a musical way, but the whole thing. From an outside perspective like mine, since I don't actually like either of the songs, it seems to me Anti-fragile at least brought something different and "new", I was interested even if I didn't like it, where Unforgiven it just falls in the "same but not" category, trying to recreate what AF did. I almost stopped listening after the second pre-chorus because I got bored.
No hate to the girls whatsoever, I live in hope their next title track follows the same music style as The Great Mermaid, since I love that.

Just to add to Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard's wife - Psyche was indeed a goddess but before that - and that's what the song refers to - she was a human forbidden to look at her husband, Eros, but she was so curious she looked anyway when he was asleep. So that fits the "forbidden" narrative of the song.

Offtopic but I wish by some miracle they get Garam back. Both from a moral standpoint and business standpoint.
Garam worked so hard, is innocent and genuinely deserves to be in the group + an apology from the world. Hybe should have taken responsibility to protect the minor if they made her debut. They knew she was innocent - they should have put her on hiatus, not terminated her contract.
From a business standpoint - I feel like Garam was necessary for Le Serraffim. She has a really good vocal tone which is addictive to listen to... right now, I'm missing that in Le Serraffim and I feel like its leading to Yunjin and Chaewon heavy lifting more than they can handle in a way (if you get what I mean)... Garam was chill and sweet in the group and without her its a bit tiring listening to them.
Idc what anyone says, Garam was also a top tier visual. Had the scandal not happened - bet she would be at the very top right now. Le Serraffim do not have a strong visual member ( Kazuha is pretty but netizen mostly like her cause of her resemblance to suzy) and whether anyone likes to admit it or not - it will affect them in the future in an industry like kpop. They need Garam back. Le Serraffim feels like its missing something right now.

I see this release as a reflection how the kpop community has made these women feel. The album cover is not flashy or perfect because they don't feel that way. They feel beat up and bruised after being trashed since their debut, mostly for something they company did. Even this guy can't let it go and let them have a moment without that negativity again. They had drama before the comeback because people love to sabotage them. The album repeats the old music because they haven't been allowed to move on and were probably feeling like they never will be able to. They really are stuck on repeat with some people. Garam is there, then isn't there because it's what people just love to constantly bring up, including this video, even though they had nothing to do with it. All of that makes them who they are and they acknowledge it but still move forward at the same time doing things with the freedom the hate gives them. If they know some are going to complain no matter what, they don't really need to do be bothered with giving what they expected or want. Just my take on the album.

I agree with u. Unforgiven to me as a single is a downgrade from Antifragile. I'm been listening to since it's release and somehow I cannot get into it compare to antifragile with just a few listen to it. And for the album, calling this a Full Album feels like a scam (not hating on the girls love them) they should have call this a mini album, I hate when kpop companies do this practice, I can understand if it's a pre release song but a songs that has been released 6-8 months ago! Feels like a lazy job, they have to squeeze those old song so that they can call is a Full album.

Instead of being a break down of individual flaws, the sum of all its parts has now become an enjoyable blend of beats and melodies. And I can't deny, I really liked the chorus from the start, the build up to a beat drop had me rockin out, and with that whistle sound really added that badass Old West feel to it. Plus the choreo that goes with it, cowboy hats off to that. Unforgiven I'm a villain!

The production took three song titles to introduce Lesserafim entirely. Fearless, Antifragile and Unforgiven is the characteristics of Lesserafim's that be would brought in the future.
People don't have to like it just like Fearless... What they want to show is important...
The 2023 version were put in the album might because it's for performance sake.

The song was a bit disappointing (not because I wanted another Antifragile) since I just expect more from the title track. The hook was cute, but it was too long and hollow. I usually like a hollow hook, and I could get into a long hook, if they go somewhere. But it was just so empty to me and I felt sad, because I wanted to like this song too. I don't know how to feel yet but I'll let you know later.
Rant: Also, this album makes me angry. The 6 old songs on here make no sense. 3 of them are there just to scrub Garam as if she never existed (f*** you Hybe). Notice they only did it with 3 of them and left out Sour Grapes (in which that song went viral because of Garam's vocals people would be pissed). They could have went a full Stray Kids and could have made all OT5 songs of all of their previous songs (or could have given us remixes), but nope. It's lazy and just will make people confused.
This album is giving Girls by AESPA and I hate it here. I really wanted to like this "Studio Album", but I am just upset, confused and pissed.
Also, Hybe (and especially you Source Music) if you are gonna promote this album as a "Studio Album" on Newsforums and all SNS then actually give us more newer music than old music and we would have forgiven, but you will be Unforgiven for your lies.
    Lesserafim deserve better.

    My personal thoughts-
    Regarding the album-
Honestly either give me a minialbum or just give us remixes of the songs ur adding. Or sell it as a repackaged/whatever. Like, I don’t have an issue with repackaged albums bc that’s the point. But I’d rather be given remixes of anti fragile/fearless and the songs from said albums and call it a day. Album packaging- its ugly. I don’t want it, I won’t buy it. There ARE ways to get a burnt/ashy/dirty look without it being outright horrible.
    Unforgiven-
I probably will not watch the music video again. I’m not into mv’s that make it hard to just listen to, it’s not ugly but I think I would def shoot it differently.
The song itself is just SO much better without the MV. Do I like it? Not really. I think the chorus is bland and it’s missing something to make it interesting. I agree with the sentiment of it underplaying in parts.
In summary, I wish it was just an EP or and EP + Remixes of different Fearless songs. I wouldn’t buy it, there’s no interest to me.

I agree with what you said about everyone expecting it to be anti fragile but the reality is that it's a different concept and then moving on from that I don't know if many kpop fans have realized that most Le serafim leading singles are usually the type of songs that grows on you over time untill you become addicted eventually not just immediately but their besides are always amazing perhaps it's a strategy I don't know, for me personally I listened to it at first I thought it was just meh but now I seem to be dancing to it consistently I don't know how I got here, for me I feel like the instrumental of the song was too heavy which was why they decided to do minimum so as too keep the audience captivated to the storyline and not to feel overwhelmed by the vocals and all that, do we all remember when we first heard fearless and thought it was boring because it had little to no high note and it had a constant flow but over time we came to like it because the pace of the song went with the message which was confidence and that confidence isn't always loud or dramatic in in conclusion what I want to say is that not every song of the album have to have that omg factor if it did you would probably be overwhelmed by it, I agree on the fact that them trying to erase garam is painful but has anyone thought about what garam herself wants what if she also wants to forget that she was ever a part of lessarafim in other to heal from the pain she had to deal with in between, what if she complained and now they're trying to do so to help her and the girls move on in totality, about the denims for me personally I think they're nice for one reason I think it's a marketing strategy to make the girls look like they can be normal people and to have normal people relate to them like a normal person who has pain and wounds which is what the company has been trying to promote from the start of the group so denim for normalcy plus they look good in it, I agree they can switch styles but denim is good for them too, everyone keeps on forgetting that this girls are rookies we can't expect everything they put out to be perfect shall we all take a trip down the first second and third generations of kpop idols first albums, it wasn't always the best but as artists you are expected to make mistakes and try and then you're expected to grow over time with experience I saw alot of people giving enhypen hate last year for the last album not being up to their other albums and that made me laugh because they are literally rookies sadly most 4th generation kpop idols have to deal with this drama because apparently they're not expected to be anything less than perfect, if we can make mistakes with our jobs and school work from time to time who said they can not?, Who said we can not all fix things over time, perhaps we need to remind ourselves of this sometimes before we become so illogically critical sometimes...I'm not even a die hard fearnot but rather a casual listener but I just had to speak up about this pattern I've been noticing in the kpop fandom over the recent times

I feel like something's missing on Unforgiven, but I think it's because now they're going full girl crush?
I mean, I can feel that they mixed feminity and fierce in Fearless and Antifragile. Tbh, this is one of the reason why I like Lesserafim in the first place. It's giving me "you can be feminine but fierce at the same time." The fierce part at two previous mini album are not overdone.
But for Unforgiven, it feels like the feminine part is gone for the sake for the storyline (they're fallen angels causing disaster and having fun on earth now). It's still enjoyable, but it's missing something that Fearless and Antifragile had.
Also, are we suddenly forgot about the fashion show concept?

I think the remakes make perfect sense. Whether people like it or not garam is gone and they will be performing these songs for the rest of their career, it's much easier for them to do so with the ones without her and maybe share it with fans officially (not to mention they clearly held back releasing a blue flame dance practice that a ton of people wanted until they could release the actual version they were dancing to) and in a few years from now they will have fans who weren't even around for the garam thing and what would be the reason they need to know about it really and just constantly have it brought up to remind the girls. They have to move on so yes they should re-record the songs, I don't really understand the push back with that. And the legality of it is an entirely other thing. I'd get if people were bitter about them removing the original songs because I personally prefer original blue flame but they didn't so it's just a way to remember their history but also move on from it. I also think the gidle comparison falls flat when soojin was in the group for years.. not a week ofc they wouldn't re-record bc she's a huge part of their history garam just wasn't there long enough. She's already been technically gotten rid of so re-recording songs doesn't do that... her getting kicked out did. I also thought it was lazy but apparently it's related to the lore so whatever. I just hope for a real full album in a year or so.

I still haven't finished the vid but I would like to comment on the "It" factor that Taejiu said. I think it was because of the hype that, not just the era started when hybe announced that they're gonna have a full album (still kinda mad about the only 7 new tracks but kinda get it since they might also rerecorded the 3 2023ver. songs), but also the hype when burn the bridge drop and their venture onto having a lore, and the hype that Antifragile created for them. I think people expected a lot during this comeback and the cb did not really live up to the high (like legit high) expectations of people from them.
It was like how "Fake Love", LY:Tear, and Proof by BTS was also hyped so much that when the CB happened some people also felt "meh" and some even said that they like Blood, Sweat, and Tears more. I think it just didn't live up to the hype that it got. But I can see "Unforgiven" being enjoyed by people after the hype finally die down much like how "Fake Love" redeemed itself after the date of the CB happened.
It also didn't help that knowing bros. already released the 1st verse to chorus of the song. We basically heard and seen almost half of the song before we even got to enjoy listening and seeing it for the first time during the CB date. The "wow" factor dropped by a bit.
So yeah, that's it. I would just like to share my thoughts about it. Also, Taejiu, I'm a regular in your channel just wanna say that I really like your videos!!

As someone who didn't like Antifragile that much (most of the EP) I had my expectations quite low, except for the title track, but I had some hope we would get something a bit more like their debut EP because it's quite obvious (to me) that these songs seem to be way more loved, like Sour Grapes was really well accepted by gg stans, Blue Flame as well, Fearless grew on a lot of people especially after that tiktok Promiscous mashup.
While a lot of people loved Antifragile, the rest of that EP is never talked about, maybe some people will remember Impurities (one of their best songs so far omg) but that's kinda of it.
Bang Pd talking about latin music is kinda weird now that I listened to Fire in the Belly, I'm sure each latine person has their own opinion but to me, if I wanna listen to latin music I'll listen to latin music and support my fellow latines. It's fine to be inspired every here and then, Antifragile is cute, but like ok stop (again this is MY opinion, it feels weird and not genuine TO ME). Again, this is just me, myself, so to each their own.

I just commented a whole essay about the flaws of this song but you know what it’s still a catchy song. I just wish the rap section would’ve been better it really killed it for me. I don’t think I TRIED to compare it to anti-fragile, it was hard not to because the MV towards the end was literally anti fragile. Also fearless was such a seamless perfect song. Compare that to anti fragile and unforgiven, these two definitely do have that repetitive title and ‘formula’ that is similar in many ways. Unforgiven seems like an uninspired attempt to remake anti-fragile as a Wild West song. Like I’m genuinely not trying to compare the two it’s just THERE like you can’t deny it. I feel like they should’ve just kept the new songs and called it an EP. I think we all collectively wouldn’t have questioned that right? They kind of set themselves up by adding the old songs just to force an ‘album’. I feel like the song doesn’t really have any KILLER point except for the actual repetition that is undoubtedly catchy. Compare that to anti-fragile and I’d argue that the verses were the appeal more so than the antititi. For example yunjins verse in the opening. 10/10. Idk I just cannot get behind unforgiven’s rap section like it was just BAD. Which is so wild to me because yunjin ate her verse in the opening and that was giving more ‘rap’ than the actual rap. Really love the pre chorus and I guess I can get behind the chorus too. The WATCH ME NOWWW is the one reason I’m listening to this song, aside from the fact that it’s catchy.

    Notes:
    1. The albums covers are not it. Doesn't look like mud to me, but it's not great either. But I like the digital album art with the red.
    2. It's just uncreative imo to release a full studio album with HALF of them being the older songs. I understand they might not have ample time, but couldn't they just release a mini album with all the newer songs, then have the 2023 versions (which is quite unnecessary tbh) as additional/bonus tracks? It's not just them; other artists also release full albums, only to realize that half of them aren't new. At this point, companies just compiles previous songs, add some newer ones, then announce them as full album.
    3. Unforgiven is actually a very nice song, and I felt like this was what I was looking for when Itzy announced an "Old West" concept for Not Shy. Agree on all your points about the song 👏👏 With Nile Rodgers on the song, it could have been bigger, but it just didn't had that IT factor, unlike Antifragile. Still, very nice choreo, very nice song (Yunjin's hips don't lie tho) 👏👏 Really like the two-part pre-chorus, and the chorus makes me want to lead a chaos on our school corridor. I wish more outfits would appear on stages other than the denim ones.
    4. The other songs looks very promising, I have heard and watched the stage of the Eve... song, THEY ATE EVERYTHING UP

I’m just disappointed because the concept pictures were sooo good but then they came out with what felt like a AF 2.0 theme in the MV.(also I think fearless is their best TT don’t come for me but the model theme was executed so well and was cvnt idc) (also I don’t think it’s garam shade I think the company knows she was innocent they just wanted to include those songs for lore and can’t profit off of her voice but #justiceforgaram anyways)

This song grew on me ! I hated unforgiven , and I was dissapointed from unforgiven ,but now I take it on an equal level to antifragile!
That's the beauty of lesserafim's songs

I don't Stan them, but I have noticed that people always expect so much of hybe releases, believing that hybe always brings "something new" or game changing. So they always put expectations too high
