YT is a great place for help when needed, thanks to the guys that helped you out in time of need. I gather this happen quite a while ago as your dog was in it, nice job on repairs.
I know Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Imran Jasper thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Mike! Great story and video bud. Very cool a RUclips connection stepped up to the plate and got you back on track. Much respect for filming the reassembly, I know it makes things take twice as long when the camera is running....5 stars for the repair, the filming and the viewer Jonathan who saved your bacon! Great job. Doug@ the "ranch"

Glad u found the major problem with the help of Jonathon. Great video. At least u didnt replace them and have the problem happen again. That would have blown my anger right out of the water. But u found out all that and got it taken care of. Thanks for sharing Mike.
Best to grease those injectors before installation. Would help if you ever had to remove them again. The copper washer should have been new. It seems trivial, but a small leak can lead to black death. Hope it continues to run great. G1 Mike!
From a non-mechanically inclined fella, bravo. It must be pretty rewarding to be able to do your own repairs and maintenance. I tore apart a 1 cylinder lawnmower engine in high school for shop class and that's about the extent of my knowledge. Good work!
You might need to buy those guys a box of donuts they really gave you a lot of good information about your kid steer .I'm impressed by the way you work on your own equipment. It saves you money .I've been a welder for 50 years ,drove a truck, and run equipment. I never would buy anything I could build myself ,or try to fix what was broke.

I know I’m a few years late to the show, but did this repair job fix the problem of the skid steer guzzling diesel like it’s goin out of style? Great videos. Really loving the content. Thanks for sharing!
Before you reinstall compression washers it's a good idea to heat for about a minute them with a plumbing torch. It expands them slightly so they'll seal better. Been doing that for decades with no leaks. Never reuse them more than twice. I usually only reuse them once myself.
@@DirtPerfect. One of the other comments mentioned annealing them. That's a serious mistake. They use copper because it's a soft metal meant to conform to imperfections that may exist on either of the two parts. Hardening them ruins that aspect. It looks like your local kubota guy tried to screw you with a turbo you did NOT need. I hope you can find another kubota shop that will treat you justly. Glad the MFG guys helped you!
Hello I greatly appreciate your video. I have the exact same problem with my svl90 your video has been a great help in taking this on and repairing it myself! I just had my injectors and pump tested, pump had a bad valve in it and I had two bad injectors that tested excessive high flow. It was dumping so much raw fuel into the machine the exhaust was like a flame thrower, shooting a 12” flame! Our fuel cap and filler neck was solid rust. We pulled the tank drained and cleaned and cleaned all fuel lines and fuel rail multiple times. I am currently putting everything back together and my question i was hoping you could help me with is about coding the 2 new injectors I replaced? Is this an absolute must be done or will it run if I do not code the two new injectors? Will the ecm self learn after it runs awhile.....if it will run without coding? This has been a frustrating ordeal as the issue began a week after purchasing the machine and after it sitting for four months Now at two different kubota dealers waiting to get diagnosed / looked at. the first dealer wouldn’t touch it because the previous owner deleted the DPF, and the second dealer quoted 15k to fix it! So this became a must do it myself repair, your video has been a great aid! Thank you!
wow sorry to hear about the injectors already. ill have to remember that if i ever pick one up. it'll be good for a long time now and hopefully the last set of injectors it will ever see.
I've got one of these in a hyster forklift which will not fire up, checked all the things in your video, luckily all my injectors are good, fires up with easy start and all pressures good on diagnostic computer. Cannot work it out!
For a guy that was apprehensive about a skidsteer in the first place, this probably wasnt a good first impression for you. It happens though so dont get discouraged. Owning equipment is like owning a house, your going to have to do some work every now and again. Good video.
I would of drained fuel tank as if rust comes off cap and make it to injectors then it’s in tank, also never let fuel run down below a quarter. Great video, keep it coming. When get your own stickers mane I would like one please 👌
well that's one design flaw, cant believe the fuel filter didn't catch all the rust particles. our local machinery mechanic always runs a clear plastic pre-filter before the main filter so you can see it when it gets all clogged up. if theres any flow problems you can just run 2 pre-filter with two y brass connectors, just make sure you have a right size filter 8mm vs 10mm line. **remember to change all your fuel filters and clean out your fuel tank and lines ( might be quicker to just buy new lines) before you put it all back together**
Make sure you drain your fuel tank, and thoroughly clean it out. shine a flash light into it and make sure there’s no algae, before you put it all back together.
It sucks when companies make parts dealer only but at least you have Jonathan to help you out with knowledgeable advice and a source for parts. Rule of thumb for torques is usually pretty accurate. I build engines for a company that has a factory a couple hours from you and while we do have specific torques they are usually the same based on the fastener size.
I would go through that fuel system and make sure it's clean and no water contamination. Dirty fuel and/or water will kill a common rail injector faster then you can blink. They might just be wornout, but I cannot tell you how many common rail injectors ive replaced due to lack of fuel filter maint or water in the fuel. For one to stick wide open is telling imo.
im going to take a guess the fuel tank on which the fuel cap rusted is made of plastic and not metal right? those plastic tanks are used a lot by jcb and rust was a big issue with them, keep your fuel level topped up or you may also find that the fuel level indicator is prone to rusting out as well. on the jcb it meant a new fuel tank to be fitted which is a pai in the backside on some equipment.
Sounds like MFG hooked you up. Based on the problems you've had with the Kubota, we opted to buy a Cat. Runs like a top and love the attention Cat gives to the little guy. We have a small Kubota RTV. Never had a problem with it. But, our grandson calls it the Cambodian. lol
So I learned a few things here. First, Kubota has a known problem with fuel filler cap/pipe that introduces rust and futzes up injectors, and the local rep says it's some other problem because - reasons. Either the Kubota rep is an idiot or has been told by Kubota to deny the problem so they don't have to pay for it. Thankfully you didn't take their version of bend over and take our customer service and trusted your instincts. Lesson two, know your equipment and how it works. Lesson three, don't be afraid to take stuff apart (just don't lose any of the parts) to confirm your suspicions. Lesson four, it's always good to have someone you can trust to help you out - a neighbor or a RUclips guy - bros helping bros (just try to remember the bro's name). You know, a really good resource for "known" problems with any equipment, large or small, could be the mechanic at your local independent rental/repair place. Trust me, I've worked at one and those guys see it all. If they service any number of your brand they likely know what the ongoing problems are and may have parts on hand - they know where the failure points are and do not buy into the manufacturer/dealer BS.
Glad you got a few take away from the video if I had to rely on other people are dealers to keep my equipment running I would be broke 😬😁 thanks for watching
I've always heard its a good practice to replace the injector tubes any time they are removed to avoid leaks. Thoughts? Also. What's injector tube to injector torque spec?
As I do not use it much, at less than 200 hours, I had major def issues, anyone had any luck deleting as I use very little and want it to be reliable when I do need it.
Those copper washers for the injectors could be re-annealed. Being copper, it's the opposite of steel though. Heat to red-hot then quench. This softens them. How far out was the valve adjustment? Were they loose or tight?
I don't buy the rust in fuel theory. If the fuel filter was not stopping rust particles, it would not stop anything. I think the problem is poor fuel quality and the removal of sulfur. Injectors need lubrication. Use a good quality fuel lubricant in the fuel and you will probably not have a issue with injectors.
Joel Watkins exactly. Many of our trucks had fuel pump issues with the first years of ULSD due to not enough lubrication. We started adding 2 stroke oil to the fuel till the refinery started adding a lubricant to the ULSD when we loaded.
Was it the exhaust manifold studs that broke? I kept thinking any moment now, Mike is going to put some anti-seize on those studs, but I didn't see it happen. I believe they make high temperature anti-seize especially for exhaust hardware. $10 would have bought you a full set of stainless studs and nuts, or you could have used copper nuts.
Did you notice it re gening more before injectors crapped out .? Thanks for the video not an easy repair free hat and shirt=5000 +free jacket 20000 k and up at least around my area . Looking forward to more vids hopefully not as expensive on your end though .
Cannot find the link to the guy that helped you out with ordering injectors. We put new unknown brand injectors in ran great for a bit then on test run a nasty injection knock.
So how did you deal with injector trim codes? Get new injectors with selected identical codes to the old ones or get yours rebuilt or did I miss something?
I have two ihi /kato excavators that are throwing codes gor injectors and they are saying $800.oo per injecter and that they have to be reprogrammed after installing new ones
They are saying that they are cloged and they have to bereprogrammed so the kubota engine can regen properly i have a texta diesel laptop and it confirms that they are dupping to much guel back to the fuel tank . O and both units had rusty fuel caps
That is stuffed in there like a TurDucKin!!!!!!!!!! Who in their right mind would package it like that. Oh yea, the Japanese! Hopefully nothing leaks. Great video, Thanks
@@DirtPerfect That's only a little better than what you first thought You'd have to pay. Funny that it was the fuel cap that caused it. I have an LML Duramax. They're known for the High pressure pump failing due to lack of lubricity in the fuel. I always buy my fuel from reputable dealers that move a lot of Diesel. I've also begun adding an additive to improve lubricity.
plastic piece on top of injectors is your injector codes for each injector. now you have no idea which code for which injector when setting them in the ecm. it may run ok but definitely not at 100%. fuel trim file will be wrong and dpf filter will clog sooner.
i fixed a kubota injector wich there pretty easy to fix kubotas wich why i love kubotas parts are reasonable and easy to fix wich ive tryed fix a john deere sid steer and it was one pain in the rear
A $1,000 dollars for a denso injector. Woooofff ive baught them before for 50/100 bucks. Did kabota give vaseline with it. And dont let them bull crap you. Denso very popular. Isuzu used them for years. Mitsubishi used them at one point.
Sucks you had to tear that far into a machine and your wallet when you just got the booger.👍 for Jonathan. Nice repair vidja. 👍So where do we park our stuff that needs worked on at the Derby Market? And is there a key slot for after hours drop off?(Asking for a friend)
16:54 given what hell it seems to have been to get the injectors out, I would test the new ones just to make sure none were defective before putting them in..

Outstanding job and nothing better than being blessed by having such helpful friends.

This makes me glad to have my old pre emissions Bobcat T200...While it does have some drawbacks, the Duetz engine is super simple.

@Mr T That statement is true. In consideration of how cheap copper crush washers are it's not worth doing unless you’re in a pinch.

I've looked for plastic fuel cap. Anyone got a part number or know a place that has them?
That is stuffed in there like a TurDucKin!!!!!!!!!! Who in their right mind would package it like that. Oh yea, the Japanese! Hopefully nothing leaks. Great video, Thanks
Lol
If it was in the video, I missed it. What did the injectors end up costing?
Was at the end I think round 3500
@@DirtPerfect That's only a little better than what you first thought You'd have to pay. Funny that it was the fuel cap that caused it. I have an LML Duramax. They're known for the High pressure pump failing due to lack of lubricity in the fuel. I always buy my fuel from reputable dealers that move a lot of Diesel. I've also begun adding an additive to improve lubricity.
I gave you a thumbs up for the remark your son gave. You know how to take it apart but you don't know how to put it back together. Classic remark.
😁
I wonder if you could have cleaned the injector . I think they come apart
No test also showed they where wore out
Did this fix have any effect on its fuel consumption?
Very little
plastic piece on top of injectors is your injector codes for each injector.
now you have no idea which code for which injector when setting them in the ecm.
it may run ok but definitely not at 100%.
fuel trim file will be wrong and dpf filter will clog sooner.
The number is also on the side they are all back where they come from
How many hours on this machine?
it be still covered with warranty because they have 5 year warranty
3500
i fixed a kubota injector wich there pretty easy to fix kubotas wich why i love kubotas parts are reasonable and easy to fix wich ive tryed fix a john deere sid steer and it was one pain in the rear
@@DirtPerfect 3500 for the new injector and all partsthats not reealy too bad here in canada it's 1500 and deeres here are 8500
Hello in need of injector on 95 any good places
Area diesel
How did you do all that without dropping nuts or bolts?
Lol patience’s
Great channel bub
Thanks buddy
A $1,000 dollars for a denso injector. Woooofff ive baught them before for 50/100 bucks. Did kabota give vaseline with it. And dont let them bull crap you. Denso very popular. Isuzu used them for years. Mitsubishi used them at one point.
Yup but these are built just for kubota 🙄
@@DirtPerfect wow. Crazyyy. That sucks for you just buying that damm thing. Sucks when you pay you think no problems for a while.
Sucks you had to tear that far into a machine and your wallet when you just got the booger.👍 for Jonathan. Nice repair vidja. 👍So where do we park our stuff that needs worked on at the Derby Market? And is there a key slot for after hours drop off?(Asking for a friend)
Lol sure 😜
Not sure how I feel about the nap inducing music 🤔🤣
I got a buddy that does dpf deletes for those if ur interested!!
Can you do a delete on a bobcat t770 ??? Man I need one seriously I’m running a mulching head and it keeps running hot
She'll run even better if you put a sticker on her!
15:46 oh hell that's right near me.
Cool
16:54 given what hell it seems to have been to get the injectors out, I would test the new ones just to make sure none were defective before putting them in..
They had the test sheet with them
