The most successful businessman I know swore that you had to spend money to make money and keeping your employees happy makes them more productive and looking to other fields for greener grass. The can crusher needs a funnel attachment to guide the crushed cans into the trash can. Don’t know what cans bring now but years ago it was 35 cents a for a case (24 cans) I used to collect them as kid and get 30 bucks a month from them which when as a kid my allowance for doing chores (taking out the trash everyday, vacuuming the house 2 times a week, mowing the grass, mopping the kitchen floor twice a week, cleaning one bathroom, my room, and helping with the kitchen and family room got me 3 or 4 dollars a week was a lot of extra money to me every month. Enough so that until I went to college I kept doing it Just a FYI if the Can Crusher is crushing cans squarely than it will not be able to “crush” a traditional 16oz returnable soda bottle. I used to like and screw with people by jacking their cars off the ground and set them on returnable pop (soda) bottles. The trick is doing it on level ground and placing a thin piece of chipboard (cardboard) between the car frame and pop bottle
Six years of engineering school and look dad my latest design. . . . Loved it, Aaron's an asset always shows up for work with a smile and a good attitude. My vote is for the unpainted raw, down and dirty fun stuff look it has already! Thanks for amusing us as always! 👍
D.P. , you and MBTS have outdone yourselves. A high performance cancrusher; outstanding! You are quite a designer. Make sure you patent it! I would buy one in a heartbeat.
great table with lift up extension. how about welding a handle that joins the two pull out pieces. that way you pull out both bars at the same rime. cheers from australia
Thanks for the laughs Mike! 49 minutes of fun watching a steel fabricator and a welder creating really cool, well made stuff. I do see an issue on the new "fab table" though at time stamp 47:15, the two pipes used to slide out and support the table will become a major pain in the but to deploy. So I'd consider welding a thin piece of flat bar to the ends of both pipes and drill a hole in the center of the flat bar with a 14" string through the hole and attach the end of the string to a golf ball with a screw. Now you can lift the extension and just pull on the golf ball and both support pipes will come out together. There you go, proof that all of us, care about you guys. Cheers from Canada
just curious as to why you think the pipes will ever be a major pain to pull out? They are loose in the tubing and they looked like they moved out pretty easy with very little effort.
@@warrenmichael918 Hello, With the leaf down, the pipes can't come out and with the leaf up, you'd have to hold it up with one hand and somehow reach under the table and try pushing the pipes out from the back. I just think that would be very hard to do by yourself. It is an easy fix though.
@@dansbrown1313 I see what youre saying now, im not sure that small of a leaf is gonna be hard to flip up from the side and reach under and slide the closest pipe to you out though. If that was a bigger and heavier leaf, i could see what youre saying being helpful. If they just stand in front of the table , by the vice, they can use the left hand to raise the leaf and the right hand to slide the closest pipe out under it, then walk to the other side and with a slight lean, pull the second pipe out.
When I see your videos and man behind the scenes is there you know it’s going to be a good video, keep up the good work. DP you’re lucky to have Aaron helping you.❤
Hey DP and MBTS: For kid safety hang a clearing stick or bar next to the crusher, and make a rule: NO HANDS IN THE HOLE! Great job! like the burning grate too!
That was actually sensible and will eventually increase your production, and keep the shop in a much cleaner state without cans being everywhere, and you wont have to walk so far to do fabrication parts, well done Mike and Aaron, bloody brilliant if I may say so.
It amazes me the way you did the stacks with all the different angles and you struggle to figure out how to attach hinges 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😎😎👍👍👍✌️ The struggle is real😊
Love the can crusher and the table , one in thing I would do is put a flat bar between the pipes and bring out to front of table to move both pipes at once.
It might have cost you up front DP but just remember all the improvements make for a faster shop later. Besides you have to have a little fun sometimes to make all the work worth while. I love it all. Watching you and MBTS is like watching a couple of brothers work together. It's great.
Hi Guys: Kid Friendly and somewhat OSHA approved for the 2 big kids in the shop. Just remember all work and no play makes Dirt Perfect a dull show. Keep up the pet projects they add Quality to a great show.
Today’s video was different from what I expected but interesting. That’s the heaviest built can crusher I’ve ever seen. I predict that your great, great grandkids will still be using it years from now. I know you have to do repairs and other projects during the winter months but I’m about ready to see you moving dirt again on a regular basis.
I would be willing to bet, in as little as ten years from now, everything we will need, will be in a pill we take? " In the year, 2525", Zager and Evans, 1969.
#1 Don’t any of that look like Lieutenant Dan. #2 While you could put your binders and chains on the table, it’s higher than the 2 ft clearance you have. #3 You could have gotten a can crusher for 19.99. Enjoyed the video!!!!
Mmmmmm Sidetracked again.....lol, the stacks sounded quiet while loading Bubba Dump can't wait to hear it on a jobsite. ROI on the can crusher is about 48,000th can crushed but it was worth it. The addition to the cutting table will definitely help as well as the wheels, I was impressed it didn't flip over when MBTS climbed on it. Outstanding Video, Keep up the good work guys!!
It’s no surprise that the real and necessary projects that need to be accomplished never get done on time! But an all steel industrial grade pneumatic can crusher is right up there with “What the heck !”
You pair are crazy buggars but I love it the kids won't have half as much fun as you pair did love the work keep it up can't wait for the semi cheers Jill Australia 🐨🇦🇺
Food for thought 🤔... Take Cans over to the Shop Press and see how Flat you can make them so they don't take up so much room in the Trash Can.... 🌞🤪🤑🤣👍
Great episode Mike and MBTS. We all need a little variety in our lives and you delivered. I wonder how long the novelty will last with the kids using Bubba Crusher? It'll be good for awhile anyway.
You should patent that can crushed for workshop's, most of us have compressors so it would be a nice addition. $ And Aaron's face when the table was finished, it was like a kid at Christmas getting the present they always wanted. (Yes I know I said Christmas, so shoot me.) 👍🤗
Now THAT was FUN !!! Recommend spraying the can crusher down with some Bar Oil ... eventually the excess residual Cola will leak out and you (or the kids) will need to rinse it out. Thanks for the smiles you and Aaron provided this Texan in the French Riviera this morning ... Merci Buttercups !
Great afternoon in the shop!! Only problem with the Can Crusher is that you're gonna have to buy more cans because the everyone is going to drink more - just so they can play with the Crusher!!
Sunday morning breakfast here in Adelaide with Dirt Perfect and Aaron in the shop doesn't get any better. But seriously Mike Aaron is like George to Jerry funny funny little guy and bonus he can weld you lucked out when you employed him and now he and his bench are mobile ,and the can crushed Genius mate Love this channel. Ok, can crusher, will it crush a full can? And you might want set somebody up for a fun little experiment. Like the fab table, came out nice, should be a lot handier around the shop. Thanks for the tag along video, fun little video.
That can crusher build had me cracking up! Pro tip... Keep a trash bag in the trash can, it catches any liquids left in the cans and when full just tie it off and it's ready to hand off to someone to recycle them. Thats what we do under ours.
Mike like everyone is saying i think the can crusher is spot on but it needs small Dirt Perfect sticker on it and paint it before Aaron gets some yellow paint and try’s to blitz you know he has a great sense of humor the bench you guys made is a real shop work table I’d say you guys hit it out of the park 👍😎🇺🇸NY
Awesome, no matter what you guys do, it’s always intriguing and informative? Just can’t wait for new videos to come out to see what’s up. Thank you very much😂
Just a suggestion. Have you guys thought about welding a bar on his prep table to connect the pistons together? Also possibly putting a catch in there so that way y'all can set it on the angle you want and it will stay there. I love the videos and watch all of them!
I was thinking about the risk of a hand getting crushed, My thought is, put two valves in the line. Both have to be pressed for it to operate. Just interrupt the air line right above the mouth of the crusher. You can get a button type valve for that.
you need a Vyper chair, sweet.............wheels will give more flex to the legs, cross bracing down low all the way around will avoid snappin the legs off with weight on it................ we made a 10 Lb dumbell that doubles for a can crusher in the shop and got the truck done in the same day
Important upgrades to the table, I have a similar welding table, I'm thinking wheels too! Massive utility upgrades for shop repair and fab jobs. Can crusher is pretty darn slick Mike
If the kids are going to use that...I would recommend that you build a "hand guard" to protect the children's hands. Nobody wants an emergency room visit...except maybe the hospital. Please recycle the cans.
You two are like little kids but I like the video no matter what you do. I love watching you go back and forth when you disgust things here's a great big thumbs up 👍
Great idea Aaron..!! Love the table it's going to be a time saver and DP will love it after he puts it to work.... Still watching for that new welder for the shop foreman MBTS🤣

I've watched a ton of DP videos.....and that Can Crusher is the happiest I've ever seen Mike, without a doubt

180 dollars worth of martials and 4 hours of time to make a can crusher. Love it

To save fingers, add a second blow nozzle in the hose line. have to squeeze both to operate.
Heavy wall tube is stronger than solid bar. Solid only has 1 bending moment, tube has 2 bending moments.
