Having worked with engineers for over 15 years I can honestly say that it ultimately almost always comes down to trial and error to guaranty success for any project. Looks great.
I think I could take a bunch of Dirt Perfect. Wish I lived in the area because you guys are a flipping blast to watch and probably twice as fun to work with.
Gotta say the plow turned out awesome. My favorite video is when you guys actually put the plow on the 850J the first time. Regardless if there were issues with the single ram, it just shows y’all are human and things don’t always go as expected and challenges are real for everyone! Ready to see the plow working and making $$ instead of just costing $$$!
Height is 1.54 MBTS!😁 Congratulations on getting it into the ground. Can't wait to the the updated version. You looked happier than a kid on Christmas morning!
Mike, here's my ' you should'! You should just keep doing what you're doing and ignore the negative nellies. Being an operator, you 11/10th of an engineer in my estimation. Now let's see this work of ART in the ground 👍👍👍👍👍😺🤗🐺
Trial and error is not only a good way to go about it but the best part is that you learn from your mistakes and you gain tons of knowledge when you get it figured out
About time gent’s , it looks fantastic. Because I’ve been waiting in anticipation I’m sending you an Aussie sticker for the 850J just to make it go faster.
I was hoping you wasnt going to leave the rear plate mismatched and put some shims behind it. You didn’t disappoint lol. This has gotta be the best video, 1 hr long and we get to see the shop made plow work. Also all the humor from the crazy complicated comments that people left.
This has to be my favorite video of the build. I have helped put in a lot of tile with a backhoe this build series has been amazing to me because it would make my experiences so much nicer
The plow turned out Great!! The whole series on the plow build was excellent!! My favorite is totally finished and putting in the ground! Appreciate height is 9’6”
Guys love this series I would love to be able to have a shop and do builds like this. You guys work hard and play hard and love how you guys are willing build and adapt things to work for your jobs!
I have to admit that this video is my favorite. I really enjoyed the whole pipe plow build series, but finally getting to see it in action put this video on top for me. Plus you learned that you needed to reinforce it during your test run. The part that actually lays the pipe looks like it’s around 9 foot 4 inches tall give or take.
When you talked about pad width with rippers and hard ground, the D11’s up in the Klondike, ripping frozen tundra comes to mind. For the size of those machines, I always thought they had very narrow pads, but now it makes more sense. Thanks for the learnin!
11' 10 5/8" is my guess! My favorite episode of the plow build is this one. I watched the whole series with my dad. I thinks that it's cool that you designed it and built it yourself, saving a lot of money. I enjoyed this build and like watching the process. Keep up the good work!
My favorite video of the build was when C&C installed the hydraulics. Having those guys with you and Aaron was awesome! I'm going to guess 9'9" on the height. Keep up the great work!
Have enjoyed the entire series… love the great friendship and team y’all have built… reminds of some great friendships of my own. MBTS reminds me a lot of my buddy Mark. I’m guessing the total height to include the top bracket to be within a few inches of 10’2”.
I'm guessing it's 11'4" rim to "keel". This one is my favorite on the build series (in part because of the Q&A). How about plow penetration when you don't have a riverbank to start at? Will you use an excavator to dig a pit to drop the beak of the plow into? . . Engineers who design stuff WITHOUT consulting/working with the operators or maintenance people get you things like a vehicle where you have to partially remove the engine to change the damned spark plugs, or a skid-steer that collects mud and crap in a place you can barely get to.
My favorite video in the series was the first one where I saw your plans on paper, seeing you with Todd at Truck or Track, and the huge undertaking of making plans on paper start to come to life. Not sure if Aaron really knew how many hours or miles of weld it would take to put the plow together. Awesome build. My guess is 10 feet 6 inches tall. Great content.
As a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, with 38 years experience, I see no problem with what you have built. You should be proud! Your top links may benefit from some reinforcement (long term life extension). Your eyelet failure, isn't a failure, it's a learning experience. All things considered, your project is a win!
I think my favorite part of this series will be the ones on the grade control. I have enjoyed them all but I love building control systems. My guess is 10’ 5” for the height.
Any video with you and MBTS in it is great love the banter between you both, It's tough to choose any one video in this series but I guess it would be the first one! Overall hight of plow is 9'6"
Pretty sweet! Already wanting that cooler weather to return. Of course if I could figure out a way to never have to climb out of the cab, I can control that climate 😁 Very smart work on the plow! Now, how did you do on your original budget? Regardless, it appears you spent your time, energy, and money well. Enjoy the rest of the week.
I felt like I was part of this maiden voyage. So proud of your antrapaneurism. My eyes actually got a little moist. Maybe that's what they call tears of joy. I don't know. Anyway, Mike, congratulations on an accomplishment from a smart good old boy who dared to trust himself. You had the ba..s to go for it. I am a 2 yr. Subscriber and have seen every single video that you have put.out there. Let me just say that I have really enjoyed you and Aaron the most. The way you two guys enter act is really special. I can tell that you like having him around. Heck, I like having him around too. I look forward to many more fun videos. TGBTG
As an engineer with an excavator and detachable trailer I enjoy every video you and the actual worker do! But the engineering plans for this was the best video
This video is definitely the best of the series mainly because you took the time to address comments and the obvious: proof it works. I have to agree about engineers much of the time. They have their place obviously but things like this is country boys figure out, often without the over complication an engineer would have added. Oh, and 10'-8" is my guess.
DP and MBTS I am so impressed with the turned out result. Yes there may be improvements along the way. I agree with what you say about experience and a certificate. Ps you are so lucky to have MBTS (what a best mate he is). Priceless. Bravo from Victoria Australia
This video is by far my favorite, the look on your face when you saw that beast finally underground was priceless! Well done on the build and the do-it-yourself engineering.
Great job DP and MBTS!!! Awesome looking machine. My favorite video of the series was the second one with all of the fabrication of the plow and MBTS welding. My guess for height of the boot is 12’ 4”.
My favorite video was I believe the first when you guys first got all the metal for it . It was absolutely amazing how everything was cut perfectly and went together seamlessly
One thing is for sure it's good this was picked up on a test run and not half way through a paying job bro. Loved the banter between you two as always. Safe travels
You test and drill to failure and then make those changes needed and test again. The only way to become perfect. Good job and your videos make my dy. Aaron and youmake a great team!
I liked this video the best because it's done and we got to see it in action. I'm going with 9' 2" on the height of the boot. Nice job and excellent trial run.
I liked the last video when you guys painted it and did the final touches. But I also liked the tour of Clints shop when he made the metal pice to cover the old toolbox hole. I think the plow is 12 ft 6 inches tall.
The plow is ausom ,I definitely appreciate the flags ,30 year fire fighter/ first responder and your chanel is ausom i look for it every afternoon after work.
This is probably the best video of the build, just because you get to see the fruits of your labor. I build lots of our attachments for my equipment and it nice to see something come together and work. Also, I am finding it hard to pay attention to the video now that I am looking for the obscene character in the shop! love it all. Id say probably around 9' for the plow height.
Hey DP, as a guy who spent 42 years in a job where everyone seems to know it better than the folks doing the job (because of what they saw on TV), I fully understand why the commenters can sometimes get under your skin. But because most of your long-time subscribers tend to be folks that enjoy both watching what you do, and the fun you seem to have with the guys you work with regularly, and with other RUclipsrs, I really hope you don't let the "know it all" types bother you enough to get tired of it and give up. I think this build was great, and if I had anywhere near the skills that you and MBTS have, and some way to pay for it, I"d be building stuff constantly, just because it's kind of cool. Thank you very much for sharing, and for the entertainment.
I'm gonna say 9'1" and my favorite was the episode where you installed the tracks because there is nothing like a new set or shoes 😉 ....and every episode during the fabrication ..... because i love fabricating myself
9'4" and I can't pick just one video I really enjoy watching you two go back and forth with each other in all of your videos
Thanks appreciate that
Having worked with engineers for over 15 years I can honestly say that it ultimately almost always comes down to trial and error to guaranty success for any project. Looks great.
Nothing more needs to be said with you and Aaron! You guys are awesome.
Thanks
Along with awesome, you two are entertaining as all get out!
9'6"
I think I could take a bunch of Dirt Perfect. Wish I lived in the area because you guys are a flipping blast to watch and probably twice as fun to work with.
My favorite was getting to watch video 1-5 as soon as you were uploading them 😄😄. I felt pretty special.
My favorite video was the one SOT came by and did all the hard work, that guy is awesome!🤣🤣. keep up the great work guys!
And nobody got slapped in this video.😱🤦
Lol that was a good one was nice to have good help for a change 😝
You’re funny
S. O. T. is always in most ALL shops with something YOU have made - (SPECIAL!)
Height is 1.54 MBTS!😁 Congratulations on getting it into the ground. Can't wait to the the updated version. You looked happier than a kid on Christmas morning!
This deserves a cap ....
Mike, here's my ' you should'! You should just keep doing what you're doing and ignore the negative nellies. Being an operator, you 11/10th of an engineer in my estimation. Now let's see this work of ART in the ground 👍👍👍👍👍😺🤗🐺
Trial and error is not only a good way to go about it but the best part is that you learn from your mistakes and you gain tons of knowledge when you get it figured out
This video is what we've all been waiting for. You and Aaron make a great team
Thanks
About time gent’s , it looks fantastic. Because I’ve been waiting in anticipation I’m sending you an Aussie sticker for the 850J just to make it go faster.
Thanks
Loaded question "top of the boot" now does that include the "funnel" ? I
say no as pointed out in an earlier video. 84 Inches is my guess
MBTS has little faith episode and height is10’2”
9 ft 10 inches. The first fab video was my favorite
10' 8 3/4 " when I win pass it 2 the next . I don't ware hats. Thanks lol
Things have came a long way, from the days of " I don't need a ripper, and I never see myself owning a ripper" to, a ripper, tile plow! Looks great!
I think you did an absolute fabulous fabrication job on the plow. I with you by keeping it simple. Big thumbs up.👍🏻
Glad to see it done, I get up every morning just to see if anything was posted on it. Enjoy watching y’all’s fabricating
The short video teasing the plow set the stage for me wanting to see this plow finished! Keep up the good work!
Thanks
I was hoping you wasnt going to leave the rear plate mismatched and put some shims behind it. You didn’t disappoint lol.
This has gotta be the best video, 1 hr long and we get to see the shop made plow work. Also all the humor from the crazy complicated comments that people left.
This has to be my favorite video of the build. I have helped put in a lot of tile with a backhoe this build series has been amazing to me because it would make my experiences so much nicer
I liked the final when a plan comes to gather and works looks good is a great feeling great job guys keep up the great videos
Love the all the video on that series .and man Brace it that 850J will chroch it .
To see it finally in the ground is great
The plow turned out Great!!
My fav in the build series is “Time For Paint!” I’ve been watching the videos nonstop and can’t wait to see it in the Dirt boys
Congrats on successful build. Now for longevity
My favorite video in this series was the fabrication of the hydraulic cylinder mounts and the re-engineering
Thanks
Awesome job guy's!!! Can't wait to see things dry out so we can get some wheelies on film!!
Outstanding job! You guys are the go team.
First video with the assembly of the plow. My favorite
Looks great!!! We need more free thinkers in this world. “I will take experience over education any day of the week”. Spot on!!
Thanks
Thanks
I have to admit that this video is my favorite. I really enjoyed the whole pipe plow build series, but finally getting to see it in action put this video on top for me. My favorite in the series was when you made the final "tweak". Changing the mounting plate; adding another cylinder and gussets for strength.
Favorite video in this series is “ Full assembly of plow ends in disappointment “.
Also guess plow height to be 11’8”.
Keep up the great job ! 👏
Sweet build! Videos are always better when Aaron's around to make sure it's done right and supervise. Great video fellas!! 🤘
11' 10 5/8" is my guess! My favorite episode of the plow build is this one. I watched the whole series with my dad. I thinks that it's cool that you designed it and built it yourself, saving a lot of money. I enjoyed this build and like watching the process. Keep up the good work!
The best one when Todd stopped by he has great knowledge and entertainment
I'm saying this video is the best, always good to see the finished product in action. Overall height of the plow is 10'4"
My favorite video of the build was when C&C installed the hydraulics. Having those guys with you and Aaron was awesome! I'm going to guess 9'9" on the height. Keep up the great work!
LOVE the flags!! I admire your willingness to support those much needed folks!
Thanks
Mike and man behind the scenes it is awesome that it works. I can’t wait to see how the grade controls project works and get to see it doing the job.
Have enjoyed the entire series… love the great friendship and team y’all have built… reminds of some great friendships of my own. MBTS reminds me a lot of my buddy Mark.

My favorite is this one, the "finishing touches." It also looks like the new wide tracks work better in the wet muddy conditions, too.
This is my favorite video I love watching you guys go back and forth all the time
My favorite video was watching the holes being torched for the pressure lines. A lot more accurate than I could ever do. Thank you.
My favorite video in the series was the first one where I saw your plans on paper, seeing you with Todd at Truck or Track, and the huge undertaking of making plans on paper start to come to life. I think my favorite part of this series will be the ones on the grade control. I have enjoyed them all but I love building control systems. My guess is 10’ 5” for the height.
Good videos coming
10.5ft high for the plough. It’s written in the back of the dozer 😄. Best video? Love them all. The banter between you and Erin is magic.
This is by far the best channel on RUclips!!! You guys are awesome. Watch you guys every day
thanks
Any video with you and MBTS in it is great love the banter between you both, It's tough to choose any one video in this series but I guess it would be the first one! Overall hight of plow is 9'6"

All the videos are good can't just pick one and the height of the plow I'm going 9 and a half feet
The thoughts and different designs behind building the plow being better than a engineer design.all the videos was great good job guys
I really liked the first video. That was my favorite. I love how you can visualize something and then draw it out. My brain works similar to that.
I am watching it in the dirt. OUTSTANDING JOB!! Congratulations
Awesome! Thank you!
Fav Tile Plow Video: Full assembly of plow ends with disappointment and failure. First major setback on build!! Youi handled the setback well.
loved them all but my favorite was when you painted it and final assembly.
I felt like I was part of this maiden voyage. So proud of your antrapaneurism. My eyes actually got a little moist. Maybe that's what they call tears of joy. I don't know. Thanks buddy
The best part of this series is the interaction of the builders makes it more fun watching.
Can’t pick a favorite video. But it is one heck of a series that keeps your attention. And it turned out great.
All the clips was awesome seeing you two design and put together but last was favorite seeing it in the ground...
As an engineer with an excavator and detachable trailer I enjoy every video you and the actual worker do! But the engineering plans for this was the best video
My favorite video is the c and c coming to your shop!
Of all the videos I watch your's is the best one I watch. I don't want to do anything but see what's the next one. Thanks Bob.
So AWESOME, IT WORKED, I’m just as excited as you guys!
Thank you Ariat!!!!!! now have a video burning those damn crocs
I liked all of the fabrication of the plow.
I'm a welder myself of 30 plus years.
This is really DIRT PERFECT 👍 👍👍👍. Congratulations for you both 👏👏👏🍾
This video is definitely the best of the series mainly because you took the time to address comments and the obvious: proof it works. I have to agree about engineers much of the time. They have their place obviously but things like this is country boys figure out, often without the over complication an engineer would have added. Oh, and 10'-8" is my guess.
Awesome to see it finally in the dirt great work guys ! R&D at its finest and it works !
Really great work :)
That turned out so good.It will be interesting to watch it complete a full field
DP and MBTS I am so impressed with the turned out result. Yes there may be improvements along the way. I agree with what you say about experience and a certificate. Ps you are so lucky to have MBTS (what a best mate he is). Priceless. Bravo from Victoria Australia
Congrats guy's on building that Big Plow. It works great.
Thanks 👍
Actually, I didn’t give it much hope for success but you guys are making it work! Keep looking for ways to improve! Never ever quit!
Excellent work guys. Looking forward to seeing it in action on site.
My guess for height of the boot is 12’ 4”.
and for this beauty you got it on the nail ,must be very satisfying to take an idea and make it reality
This video was my favorite, got to see it work. I never noticed the empty fire extinguisher bracket till you mentioned it.
Thank you Mike and Aaron it worked like a treat, brilliant to see something going from paper to working exelent video.
My favorite video was I believe the first when you guys first got all the metal for it . It was absolutely amazing how everything was cut perfectly and went together seamlessly
I am tickled to see this in action! You did a great job!
Yes! Thank you!

This one, is my favorite seeing all the hard work pay off, an seeing it crush throw the ground!! #keepitdirty #dirtperfect
Best episode is this one, I knew it was coming.
The plow is ausom ,I definitely appreciate the flags ,30 year fire fighter/ first responder and your chanel is ausom i look for it every afternoon after work.
Thanks and appreciate the service
Too cool. So glad to see it out of the shop and doing its job. Well done guys and thanks for the content
Sweet!!! 😎✌️
I love it when a plan comes together!
This is probably the best video of the build, just because you get to see the fruits of your labor. Well...this video...the plow in the ground is the best video, of course 👍👍👍👍
After hearing all the q and a for the ripper. I would just like to say "good job!" Looks amazing I can't wait to see it work! 🙂
Thanks
Awesome build and that green colour is addictive.
Plow 1.1 coming up!!! Great job guys!
Favorite was the first trial when the top bracket bent and the whole thing jammed up. You guys learned fast and did a great job finishing it.
850J preformed great brother awesome job ! Thanks for sharing Mike! 👌🏻👏🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸
I'm gonna say 9'1" and my favorite was the episode where you installed the tracks because there is nothing like a new set or shoes 😉 ....and every episode during the fabrication ..... because i love fabricating myself
