Im with Mbts, has definitely got to be red and white barber stripes, but you also have to paint the blade in a spiral as well it would look so cool. Plus on the bonus side, no one is ever going to steel it. Was watching Gunners head when you wee taking, seams he knows what hes doing already either that or he was practicing for a part in the Exorcist. 🤣😂👍
I have been around shop stuff too many years. Every time MBTS said "eyeballs" and pulled the trigger on that MIG I closed my eyes. Every dang time. I could even tell myself, "knock it off, dummy, it is a computer screen" and I would still do it. Looks good guys. Really does.
Hello from the Netherlands. You have my vote Aaron for the red and white candy cane/ barber pole . It is also very safe that red/white is clearly visible to everyone 😉 thanks for the video DP and Aaron . Kind regards, Hollandduck
One step closer to seeing if the Limb slayer 2024 is up to the task 🤔 awesome job getting to this point. Appreciate you sharing your amazing fabrication with us.😎🛠️👨🔧🚜🇺🇸😇
Once again, Aaron has come up with the perfect suggestion regarding the paint job. The only one you can go with is the red & white barber pole look. How can any reasonable person disagree? 🙄
Awesome build, I hope you painted it red! Thanks for another enjoyable video. I watch every video completely, and I always hit the like button, but I have to start commenting on every single video to help out with the algorithm, and you in order to show my appreciation for what you are doing and what you have accomplished. Thank MBTS for me, too. He definitely deserves recognition! I laugh a lot more when you are together!
Saw of Doom Fluorescent Chartreuse same color palette as on your oiler trailer. I recommend Imron paint, if its good enough for Boeing, Peterbilt, Mack, Bertram, Hatteras, Kenworth and, Airbus it is almost good enough for the DP saw. Ray
This reminds me of the saw utility companies use to trim power line access from a helicopter. That saw is a multi blade saw that hangs down from helicopter. An amazing tool. Yours will be just as amazing.
Holy cow that thing is awesome and scary. That brake assembly is really neat. I love watching skilled people fabricobble diverse parts and make a wonderful new whole. Thanks for bringing us along, Mike. This is fun.
Mike, that assembly of that brake has a wow factor! I'm still in awe at how you repurpose things to come up with something workable. Much respect sir!! I don't care about the color as long as it is safe.
The saw is looking great DP! I would suggest putting a clevis around the brake handle and the pull up arm that it rests against when cammed over or some other way to lock the handle in the cammed over position in case a branch or something else hits the handle while sawing.
DP you and the man behind the scenes may have to add some more weight to the back of the excavator to keep the machine balanced your cutter is heavy duty built good job. Can’t wait to see it in use. Stay safe. God bless.
I need to borrow that and the 120. I have tree branches intruding into my field that needs trimming Skid steer plate. Barber pole paint pattern. Lets rock the world with this.
I like the barber pole pattern but, black and bright yellow (like caution tape) might be a better option for the colors. Toss a few splashes of red on it down near the saw blade just for giggles.
4:00 I know I'm a month late but I'd suggest welding a piece of C-Channel to the beam running the length of it and stopping at the edge of the opening for the Hydraulic Motor. This will protect the Hydraulic lines running from the brake drum to the saw end of the pole. Then take another piece of C-Channel and but it up against the first C-Channel (that protects the Motor and hose connections) and weld it to the removable cover that protects the U-Joint and Gearbox connection...weld a plate across the open end of the removable C-Channel and voila, your done and the hoses are protected for most of their length... If you replace the flexible hoses with a pair of hard 90's and some rigid tubing, you might even be able to reduce the height of the C-Channel needed reducing the chances of it getting caught on a tree branch or wire...
Mike and Aaron It is great to watch you work together, your humor is great and that is certainly creating a fun environment for productivity. Your designs are wort watching and that cause a lot of viewing fun. Thanks!
Hi Mike Interesting project. I hope it works as envisaged. One area of concern is the PTO shaft that you fitted to the broom - I think that you inadvertently slid the shafts out of alignment - the yokes have to match up at both ends of the shafts. For example if the yoke at the tractor end is vertical then the input yoke on the brush gearbox needs to be vertical. Check it out! Check your Mack truck tail-shaft.
I can’t wait to see this beast in action. I would hate to be the first tree limb when this beast is coming at me. Great job guys. This was built to last.
John Deere yellow and green barber pole paint treatment. Great idea for a pole saw. Another idea would be to buy a long reach and send MBTS up in the bucket with a chain saw. Might cost more but would be a lot of fun.
Hey DP. I think you will find that the sweeper is rotating correctly. This way it will sweep to the RHS. If it runs the other way, it will probably sweep everything over where you have swept.
😵💫😵💫😵💫Eyeballs!! I really enjoy your camaraderie (big words huh😁). Thanks for the great vidjas. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
Each project keeps getting crazier and crazier yet has a purpose. Will they ever reach a point where they can no longer outdo the last one? Only time will tell. Until then, we will enjoy the mad scientist projects and the success in their operation!
If your brake system doesn't work as intended, I suggest taking the drum and everything off. Just use a circular steel plate with holes towards the outside of the plate every 10 to 15 degrees with a stationary pin or bolt location. You'll lose fine adjustment but have less points of failure.
I took a survey of all your one million viewers and they all agree with MBTS. Red and white barber pole stripes.
Yes! / / / / / / / / / / /
Except me. I was late to the meeting. I true barbers pole is red white and blue 💈so let’s have another vote pleeeaaase😃
@@andrewcooper8980
Red and white barber poles did exist but we can say candy cane to keep you happy. 🤷🏻♂️
Red and white but need the blood red splatter to act as a warning to stay back.
lol
Another vote for Aaron's barbershop pole color!
Looking forward to the new shop! Yes barberpole colors would be awesome but by now You already have it painted and using it.

Yep. Another vote for Arron's paint. Take care & stay safe.
Great job welding MBTS
I have been around shop stuff too many years. Every time MBTS said "eyeballs" and pulled the trigger on that MIG I closed my eyes. Every dang time. I could even tell myself, "knock it off, dummy, it is a computer screen" and I would still do it. Looks good guys. Really does.
Me too
Glad I'm not the only one. 😂
You know it’s really bad when you go to get mad at them when they forget to say it
Barber pole is the way to go
Hello from the Netherlands.
You have my vote Aaron for the red and white candy cane/ barber pole .
It is also very safe that red/white is clearly visible to everyone 😉

Working out great. I go with Aaron barber pole colors. Thanks for the video
It’s hard to be humble when you’re perfect and every way
One step closer to seeing if the Limb slayer 2024 is up to the task 🤔 awesome job getting to this point. Appreciate you sharing your amazing fabrication with us.😎🛠️👨🔧🚜🇺🇸😇
That brake was some engineering genius. Great work.
Aaron's genius ideas always going under appreciated. That was the perfect color scheme for the saw
Definitely barber surgeon's pole! Could be fully in keeping with the original's theme of blood soaked rags
... hoping not, of course!
Yeah we got some arguing to do! Aaron is so funny. 😂
MBTS great idea to paint
I hope you pay Aaron enough to put up with you!
You guys take American madt to a whole new level RESPECT to you both
Once again, Aaron has come up with the perfect suggestion regarding the paint job.
The only one you can go with is the red & white barber pole look. How can any reasonable person disagree? 🙄
Red white and blue barbershop pole would be great
Barber pole design sounds great to me.
RAD was a bmx movie from 80s. Was a good movie. I like the sound of RAD attachment
Paint color is just window dressing. Can't wait to see the productivity of this great looking build. Stay safe
Aaron is right, as usual
Can’t wait to see it work, looks great so far.
Ask Gunner what color he would like it to be 👍🏻
Howdy Mr. Dirt. Paint the Barber Pole!! Looking forward to this contraption zoom...zoom...zooming!! Thumbs up! Safety first! Jim
Definitely the barber pole stripped for the cutter
I vote for Aaron’s color scheme
Looking forward to seeing the Boomsaw in operation in a future video.
Awesome build, I hope you painted it red! Thanks for another enjoyable video. I watch every video completely, and I always hit the like button, but I have to start commenting on every single video to help out with the algorithm, and you in order to show my appreciation for what you are doing and what you have accomplished. I have done that because As a disabled dude I can’t afford to buy swag etc. helping with the algorithm and just simply saying thank you least I can do
P p p I
Saw of Doom Fluorescent Chartreuse same color palette as on your oiler trailer. I recommend Imron paint, if its good enough for Boeing, Peterbilt, Mack, Bertram, Hatteras, Kenworth and, Airbus it is almost good enough for the DP saw. Ray
I love the way you have your boy helping .

Vote for the barber pole candy stripe!!!
The more, of the channel I watch, the more interesting it becomes. Perfectly brilliant. ❤
Forget about it.
Mike : I think it’s going to work great, it’s a awesome design, it’s simple, but in theory will work great 👍👍😎😎🍮🍮❤️❤️
Holy cow that thing is awesome and scary. That brake assembly is really neat. I love watching skilled people fabricobble diverse parts and make a wonderful new whole. Thanks for bringing us along, Mike. This is fun.
Wow, it’s beyond cool that you guys make stuff like this! 😀😎
Mike, that assembly of that brake has a wow factor! I'm still in awe at how you repurpose things to come up with something workable. Much respect sir!! I don't care about the color as long as it is safe.
Thanks appreciate that

barber shop stripes for sure DP, not even a question
Wow! It's looking even better. Great job guys!
DP you and the man behind the scenes may have to add some more weight to the back of the excavator to keep the machine balanced your cutter is heavy duty built good job. Can’t wait to see it in use. Stay safe. God bless.
Very timely updates! Most impressive!!
@28:00
Hey MBTS. You can certainly see what kind of friend DP is letting you keep working with that grease (greaze) spot on your cheek.
I need to borrow that and the 120. I have tree branches intruding into my field that needs trimming Skid steer plate. Barber pole paint pattern. Lets rock the world with this.
Good morning DP and Aaron
I like the barber pole pattern but, black and bright yellow (like caution tape) might be a better option for the colors. Toss a few splashes of red on it down near the saw blade just for giggles.
I'm loving this build!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
D.P., you and MBTS have engineered and fabricated a masterpiece! Looking forward to seeing it in action. Thanks for documenting this experience.
Lot of engineering, welding. At the end you can say you built it. Coming along great. Looking forward to been in use.

I like the word "spindle".
Great Ingenuity, Aaron and Mike, Now Let's see how it's going to work if it's going to work. Is safety first!!!😊
Nice job!
I vote for the barber pole paint job.
I can’t wait to see this beast in action. I would hate to be the first tree limb when this beast is coming at me. Great job guys. This was built to last.
Aaron is spot on about the color combo no other choice in the matter at all. No other choice will look right at all so MBTS is right again
I like Aaron's idea ! BUT make it an American Flag wrapping around it !!
Rotating Auxiliary Device. RAD , Nice to see your branching out with different attachments.
I know this build has been completed but I think this should be painted something that will be highly visible when it is up in the trees working.
Good to See You Fella’s
John Deere yellow and green barber pole paint treatment. Great idea for a pole saw. Another idea would be to buy a long reach and send MBTS up in the bucket with a chain saw. Might cost more but would be a lot of fun.
Yes Red and white

A wonderful job, Mike
Gunner is lucky young man to have a Father that cares enough to teach his son.
Good job Mike
😵💫😵💫😵💫Eyeballs!! I really enjoy your camaraderie (big words huh😁). Thanks for the great vidjas. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
DP, Great job engineering it together..
Mike why not use another piece of the square tube cut in half like the removable cover
My thoughts too. Just bolt it on though!
Will is we need to just not dor sure it’s needed
Good morning sunshine! Im undecided bout the color! Its just gonna be awesome to see it finished & working! Lol! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
