I have sprayed around my RV and campsite with Ortho® home defense. Peppermint oil seems to work well for us. The dryer sheets repel me. We had to "flea bomb" our trailer years ago. I had an old French-Canadian say tell me to eat 1/4 cake of yeast twice a day to keep from getting bit. I think it may have been the beer he washed it down with personally.

There is never just one. I've got those dang water bugs, roaches, water bug sounds better. I'm going to spend some $$$ & put in some work on this. I can't stand the thought of roaches in my RV. Ants don't bother me. ....but ROACHES!!!! Are another story. I lose sleep over it. Thanks for the valuable info.
Roaches can be a challenge to get rid of. But if you are in a hot and humid place like Florida you almost can't avoid them. I recommend taking out the big guns and using some kind of insecticide to get the job done. Thanks for watching and commenting!

We have an infestation of fungus gnats. There are no plants in the house. They don’t seem to bother my husband but drive me nuts. Any ideas? My husband has health issues and so I’m afraid to use chemicals.
I think I already answered this question but YT shows it as still needing a reply. Anyway, I am not aware of any method for dealing with those kind of insects other than with insecticide of some kind. You may want to consult a local exterminator company to see what they suggest.
Hi Kellie. I have used an all-purpose insect spray for the inside and outside of our rig, and it works very well for us against almost everything that creeps or crawls. Amazon won't let me link to it, so just search for "Compare-N-Save Insect Control" and you should find it. It's a concentrate that lasts a long time. I hope that helps.
@@timmurr1672 Yes, gnats are the pits Tim. Apparently, the best repellents against gnats are real citronella oil candles and DEET. The candles I put in my video description have real citronella oil in them and you can use either Repel or Off! Deep Woods sprays to repel them from you personally. I hope that works for you!

Yes that can happen a lot Nikki. I carry a small spray bottle with insecticide in it and spray around the inside of our RV every few weeks or so in the summertime to keep bugs at bay. Of course, you have to be careful with that if you have children or pets along with you.
Bring a tent in case you have to bomb. You and your pets cannot sleep in there for a while...will really come in handy...in case it happens while boondocking far away from motels....I will bring a bomb and tent in case...

we uses crushed Mothballs sprinkled around the camp sight to keep mosquitoes away here in south Louisiana it works great !
