Wish you guys would list what material the battery mount was made out of on product page. For some reason after watching this video and seeing “compatible with aluminum inner fenders only” I assumed the battery mount was made of aluminum, which is what I hoped so I wouldn’t have to take extra steps painting it, but it is in fact steel and needs to be painted
You didn't show the L brackets that mount the battery box to the fender, many customers need to see that. Also, my battery box does not fit an Odyssey battery without forcing it in, and I had to drill and remount the battery box so the battery would clear the ecm.
Nice parts. I would have liked to watch the hood trimming, it seems integral to the fender install. Installing a new hood is not helpful in demonstrating a difficult part of the whole process.
Nice 👍 Tony, I met you at the GSMJI , Tennessee! We briefly spoke about the YJ build and I bought a hat and you signed it for me. Thank you! I just purchased the YJ inner fender kit a few minutes ago, I sure appreciate the YJ support… doesn’t seem like there is much support in the aftermarket for the YJ comparably. As the build moves along hoping to buy some other YJ parts from you guys… I’m buying as much made in the USA 🇺🇸 as I can for my project YJ ( 1987 model) it’s a frame off resto-mod… hoping in a couple years to have it finished and bring to the GSMJI and if you’re there we get a photo with the Jeep 👍 thanks again writing from NC ✌️👋🤙
Would the inner fender kit work with other companies flat fenders or just genrights? I bout some barricade flat fenders and was wondering if I bought your inner fender kit if it would work
Our inner fender kit was designed to work with our fenders specifically. That being said (and after looking at the Barricade fenders) it looks like they could be modified to fit but probably wont bolt directly up to them. If you happen to has a JK, they will fit no problem.
We do not have a battery relocation bracket for the YJ. We do recommend moving your battery/batteries to inside the cab behind the seats to keep them out of the heat of the motor. You can use the TJ/LJ high inner fender kit for the YJ but trimming will be required. We made a set fit on the growler YJ, which you can check out in the gallery on our website. Also, depending on your type of suspension, you will need to trim around the shock towers. It will not be a bolt on product though. For anyone wondering, yes it's as easy as what Tony shows. I had both sides done in under 3hrs and that included making a sammich.

Haha, fenders are so expensive that even Get right had to cheap out on Rubicon Express so they could afford them 😂

Thank you for the feedback! Next time we do an install, we will be sure to make a video on trimming the hood.
@@GenRightOffRoad Awesome! Thank you, friend.
👍
Can you provide product info for the K&N intake kit? Running these same fenders on my LJ.
I just cant justify that money, but looks like nice stuff.
Wish you made alum. inner fenders for CJs. I have your Alum. fenders and am procrastinating in cutting my factor fenders.
Great job Tony! GenRight products are Highest standard quality!
what hood latches do you recommend once the hood is trimmed? I assume the factory latches will no longer fit?
Got really excited about the hood... Until I discovered they don't offer it for the YJ :/

Do all the driver side accessories attached to the stock fender fit back on the GR inner fender? Mainly the washer fluid tank?

How come you do not make something for the jk like this this would be a good idea.
JK's don't need hi fenders like a TJ or LJ. If you do, you are cutting through the hood.
@@GenRightOffRoad I’ve been trying to find the stock front fenders so I can take the smittybuilt heavy ass fenders off in the front.
That's a great question. Unfortunately the answer is even better.
Do you guys sell a battery box kit for the yj or does the tj one work as well
As well as an inner fender
