Dunno why you would be proud of that. Most overpriced fastfood in NZ. Burger cost about $5 to make. What a joke really. 150g of mince at MOST, some white pieces of the lettuce cob, and some sauces, with some no frills cheese. Nice one dude. Charge $10 as a combo and be a man.

You purchased the Artisan Whittakers Chocolate. I recommend you buy their bigger everyday blocks. They are wayyyyyyy nicer! All NZ made 😄

Even a dog dying of starvation would not eat anything at Denny's. I had it once and i only had a few bites. I forgot what it was because it was so uninteresting and tasteless.

It's so interesting seeing you walking around and describing things that are completely normal for people like me who live here. Glad you liked the food you did manage to try! Like others said, you haven't even scratched the surface. Should definitely come back at some stage and see what else our awesome country has to offer!

Australian pies are the best, its a well known fact. The Pavlova was in fact made first by Australians then New Zealand made on shortly after that is distinctly different. Australian Pav is light meringue with fruit on the top in contrast to the New Zealand variation that is a heavier meringue with jelly and fruit over the top.

Mike Man Lamb curry at Dennys cmon dude! Visit Sangrinham it's literally a street full of Indian food! Highly recommend Satya (for the atmosphere) and Paradise!

You must make it out to the Captain Kai Moana food truck here in Auckland. They have the best creamy paua and fry bread here in Aotearoa and their double cheese paua smash burger🤤🤤👌👌
If you are heading to Queenstown check out Cookie Time, Fergburger, Mrs Ferg Gelateria, Fergbaker and Ferg’s Bar👍 I also have to mention if you love salmon you must try some NZ King Salmon.

I hope you enjoyed your short stay. If you do come back you should definitely try more of our seafood. Kina (aka sea urchin) is great here as well as paua (abalone). Creamed paua and fry bread is delicious.

It balances out the burger well. If youve tried burgerfuel you know they dont skimp on the sauce.

He's really not a fan of kina/sea urchin but I agree he def needs to try esp fresh from tangaroa.

Hey Mike, If you get the chance to come back to New Zealand you’ll have to try our Hāngī, Boil up, NZ Kina (sea urchin) , Island food - Lu Pulu, Lu Sipi, Mainese, Chop Suey and Bluff oysters - 100 x better than Denny’s.
Mike, your reviews are good at finding the positive :) I think i you reviewed eating a leather shoe, you would start with, "It has a great chew" lol. Keep it up!

the fish and chip shop you went to is as classic as you can get in nz, ones that sells fresh fish as well these kinds of shop is very rare nowadays but 20 years back you can find them around each suburbs... as for the fish hoki is nice but snapper is the one to get.... you should have gone downtown there is a countdown there as well as a ramen shop called tanpopo which serves really good ramen or if you fancy korean food a shop called tulbo which serves soon dae guk bap...
