I live in Melbourne, we have the largest Greek population here outside of Athens and oh man is the Greek food good, i'd still love to know how it differs to the Greek food in Greece, but I can already tell we have some amazing Greek food compared to the tragic stuff i've tried overseas 😅we are definitely spoilt!
I went to Greece a couple of years ago, specifically Crete and I don't know how but the food there is the freshest I've ever had. The tomatoes taste literally happy. How do veggies taste happy? Idk I miss it.
In Crete where I am from you get the best and freshest food you can find made in our farms my friend and straight to the consumer. On top of that in Crete they always have big servings and great hospitality. Cheers 🇬🇷
I could have written this exact comment myself. I spent a month in a tiny Cretan village and my neighbour would give me tomatoes from her garden... I've never tasted anything like it. SO so delicious.
Way to go Mike our food is delicious and heavenly and the freshest and most tasty ingredients you can find are in the Mediterranean and specifically Greece happens to be in an ideal location climate wise as well. And our islands are spectacular,it's no wonder that Greece is called the land of the Gods and the land of love and romance. Welcome to our paradise Mike I hope you enjoyed everything 👍🇬🇷
Need Paprika pringles in my life 😩 I was OBSESSED with the hot honey ones and now can’t find them anywhere. Also spinach pie 😩 I make my own spinach puffs and they’re easily one of my favorite foods but no one else in my household likes them
Paprika is like THE chips flavour in germany as well. some brands call it Ungarisch (hungarian) but it's simply Paprika. Ketchup is popular in Canada as well, right? And I heard some stores in the US have it now as well. Ketchup is part of "all dressed", I think?
@@tommystix87 Well, if the place happened to have a food shop there, as well as the gas shop, that would be fine people could buy both, but they can't eat there, because it's not a dinning place. Many gas stations in America have food shops there!

Hey can anyone explain to me why some faces are blurred out? I've been watching Mike Chen for over a year now and I've wondered why some people are blurred out while others aren't. Do they ask him to be blurred, is it an automatic feature, like I'm just curious :p
It’s polite to blur out people’s faces in non public spaces and public spaces and you can get into legal issues if you found out you recorded someone without there notice if it wasn’t in a public space. But i’m pretty sure he just doesn’t care enough to blur out other faces
He blurs the faces that are closest for privacy reasons. Those that are too far or turned away don't need as much blurring because you can't easily recognize the faces.
You make me curious to try the food Mike😁🤤,, let's go to Indonesia Mike, there are lots of unique food here too, you have to try it🤭👍..greetings from Indonesia🇮🇩 to all of you☺️

Shows how much worse inflation is here in the states by comparison. Those pita wraps would easily cost $10 here in the states compared to 4 euros there.
I have been in Greece back in 2009 with the AIDA cruise and I still have a trauma from that mountainbike tour across Rhodos. And that I had a heatstroke while climbing to the Acropolis. lol
I agree 100%. I was lucky to work next to a Greek restaurant in Orlando and their gyro meat was lamb. It's just not the same when it's beef or beef/lamb mixed.

Ahh I loved AutoGrill when I was in Italy. There was a chicken one I toasted all the time yummy. Brings back good memories.
Love that Mike always finds the greatest gas station goodies. Even in Italy. Belissimo!
Greek & Italian food is such lovely stuff! Fresh and yummy and such nice bright flavors.
I heard that it was bland and that only white people think it's top notch. Other cultures think Italian cuisine is bland like all of Europe's cuisine.
Greek food is my absolute favourite ❤
Delicious ..❤I love Greek and Italian food ❤
Ooo those Greek Gyros looked the best which you ate in your room. I said Mmmmm out loud when you tried the first one 🤣
Thanks! Italy makes the best wine, go to the bakery for spanicopita and all the pastrys you just ate and fine dining for pasta.

Moussaka is my most favourite Greek dish. Made properly it’s amazing 😋
What I'd most love to try is a tie between that fresh gyro with crispy fries in a plush pita and.....the giant baby bottle filled with popcorn!? 😂
What you see at the top is actually the Parthenon. The acropolis is the name of the hill itself Mike.
Wellcome in Greece!!!!
4 DOLLARS?!?! that would easily be 15 dollars PLUS in the states! What a deal
Used to be around 2-2,5€ 😢
Salaries in Italy are way lower than the US. But yeah, it’s a good deal if you’re a visiting American.
Happy new year 🎉
Italian, Turkish and Greek food have a lot in common because we are neighboring countries..
Hello from Greece.
Greek food rivals Italian and Japanese for the best in the world imo and can often times beat it

The Gyro meat here in the US is mostly beef. It is hard to find restraunts that get that nice blend of beef and lamb. It gets too expensive here.
