I’m from Delaware County Pennsylvania where Wawa started. My dad when he was in his early 20’s worked at a local store till get became a police officer. He was policeman of the year in1994. He was shot in the line of duty. He survived and while recovering his protégé was shot a week later and killed. The decision was made to move from Pennsylvania to Delaware. It’s incredible to see a local deli/ convenience store grow and that there are stores all the way in Florida
I’ve lived within 2 miles of a WAWA my entire life. Iced coffee is my go-to. The double bacon and egg on a croissant is a greasy must have in a food warmer.
Mikey Wawa is a great place for late night drunk food or a great cuppa coffee and maybe a breakfast sandwich. The quality of their food especially their hoagies have plummeted over the years. You can get a much better meatball sandwich at a mom and pop pizza joint. It is good if you're blasted at 2am and the bar just closed.
Broccoli Cheese Soup... Man who else remembers the times Mikey would look sad just to find a single piece of broccoli in his food and now he actually orders food with it 🤭 we came a long way 🤣
Agreed with everything you said Wawa’s for Gas Station food is🔥, however you missed on the breakfast burrito and the chicken salad sandwich either Ciabatta or Hoagie👌
Hey Mikey! You want a really good cheesesteak? Go to Stacking Phillies out in Heathrow, Florida! They serve amazing food. Owner is from Philadelphia and they make amazing cheesesteaks. He gets all of his meat and bread shipped from up North. Owner's name is Mike, just like you.
@@davidgomez9674 nice! The Cristiano cheesesteak is the best one in my opinion. He does have other variations, but the Cristiano is top. He also does a really good Reuben sandwich and a decent gyro. Also if you like potato salad, give that a try. It's amazing in my opinion. Let me know what you think 😁
Here in Pennsylvania, back in the 90`s, there was a WaWa every couple blocks. I absolutely LOVED there hoagies. Most of them have closed, unless you travel closer to Philly. Definitely miss WaWa.
here in south jersey, there’s a wawa literally almost every mile. i live in atlantic county close to atlantic city and you can’t go more than a mile or two in any direction without a wawa lmao
dang in my town in PA we have 3 wawas within a couple miles...I used to love the Hoagies but I feel like they changed the bread, but that will never keep me from hoagie fest!
You should try a quick trip! Wawa and QT are very similar. There are some really good things there, pulled pork and brisket sandwiches and tacos, pizza etc. And it can be surprisingly good for a gas station, and they have the ordering kiosk where you can customize things, and they have a full menu and separate kitchen where they prepare things.
In my part of North Miami Beach, when Krispy Kreme built their new place next to their original store, Wawa bought the abandoned doughnut factory. They tore it down and built a state-of-the-art Wawa's. I had never heard of the place. I saw the sign on the construction site and wondered, "what the hell is a Wawa?" I buy my sandwiches and prepared food at Publix and gas a bit closer to home, so I had no reason to go there. Thanks for this interesting report. Next time I'm passing the place, I'll make a U-turn for a quesadilla.
I miss Wawa so much! Lived on the east coast for 4 years 15 years ago and Wawa and Sheetz always had food available! Midwest gas stations have nothing on east coast gas station food!
That's what I miss so much right now. 24 open Gas station and food shops . We don't have such stuff in the Netherlands 😢. I nis American so much right now
We here in southern Indiana are getting our first Wawa and loads of people were mad about it but this made me kinda excited to try some things from there
I was born and raised in Hampton roads VA after i moved to California Wawa's pop up all over VA.but i do go to WaWa's when i go back home to visit. can't beat it for what it is
I'm from the UK and our petrol stations are sad places, some have a KFC or Burger king, very overpriced, but otherwise very minimal food options. Its wild to me that a petrol station is a destination
they definitely need to invest in their people, train them and work on QC. I do know the competition is heating up between Royal Farms, Sheetz, and with the possible changes of 7-11 in the US. it will be good to have competition.
The meatball subs are fantastic. Their regular subs are decent, too. For breakfast, you can’t go wrong with either a scrambled bowl or a breakfast burrito.
Dang Mike, You made me really hungry watching you eat all of this, I swear I don't know how you eat so much at one time. I think I really want that pizza. Maybe they will come to Indiana.
If only the Wawa near me still did quesadillas. I have to go to the largest Wawa next to Independence Hall to get one. It's usually my go to when im on my work break
i loved WaWas chicken salad club sandwich, but they added onions to the chicken salad, so now i cant eat there anymore. that was my favorite sandwich ever.
Wawa and Buc-ee's are basically the US answer to Japanese 7-Eleven, Lawson, and Family Mart. And I am here for it. No Wawa in my area, but we do have a Buc-ee's and I love trying out all their odd little foods and drinks.
I'm in Virginia, where there is an intersection between 2 greats: Wawa and Sheetz. Wawa coffee is better, but Sheetz has waaaaay better food and snacks.
The fly causally hanging out at 10:35 😂
Haha ikr
😂
It's Florida during the summer, you'd be lucky if a stray fly is all you get on your food lol
🪰
Hope you didn’t eat the place the fly landed on.🐿️
The soft pretzels, raspberry iced tea, quesadillas and thanksgiving sandwiches are ⛽️ 🔥
Sheetz has better pretzels since they're made to order
the gobbler!!!
Wawa subs are definitely the highlights of the menu.
Used to be back in the day like 2016 before they swapped suppliers there lunch meat nowadays is so mid back then used to be same quality as any deli
We love our wawas here on the East coast. Stores vary on quality but still the best!!
Good call on the Wawa meatball, probably my favorite sandwich there. Extra cheese is a must.

Live 5 minutes from the original Wawa in Delaware County, PA. Wawa is a way of life here. ❤️ Wawa.
Delco life 😂
Yessss definitely 😂
Why is it called Wawa?

Garlic Aioli sauce for the win!!!!
The trademark Mike Chen noodle slurp sound can even be heard while eating his pizza 😅
You can tell he’s giving his genuine assessment this time because he actually pauses to process the taste before reacting.

The turkey bowl and dinners are my favorite at Wawa during the thanksgiving season.
Came here to say that. Thanksgiving in a bowl ftw!
Shoutout to the Gobbler 🦃 !!
They have the best Corn Chowder. I try to have it whenever I can
Thank you for posting Mikey !!!! Happy to see you today
Italian hoagie w/oil, oregano hot and sweet peppers ,tomato, onions. Half gallon on half and half iced tea

Wawa is also a town in Northern Ontario... I think it means goose 🦆
Wawa and the sirens going off in Florida. That’s a legit experience 🤣
The tuna salad with sharp cheddar and bacon club sandwich or hoagie is epic!

Been getting the meatball hoagie with pepperoni from Wawa for like a decade. Seeing Mikey chow down on one is a surreal moment.
@10:20 that fly highly recommends the sandwich.
I think he ate it 🥲
lol, i though i was seening things, i started dying
Mmm extra protein XD
That fly was full of umami.

well even here in burgerland, places like Wawa are the exception not the rule. You can be finding some good kitchens attached to gas stations though.

Walk in and grab a green tea and a pepperoni and Provolone bagel!?!?!
