Now that Made my Mouth Water , that Buffett , Better then Las Vegas ,
The prawns are really good in Aus, Cheers 🍻 for the Australian content mike
Except the link doesn't work and comes up with 403 forbidden.
The bread at 7-11 Japan looks like milk bread- of course it tastes Devine compared to regular “white bread”
as an aussie i really never thought id see someone getting excited about 7 11 food. Its literally the last resort lmao
Sweet chilli sauce on a pie should be a criminal offence
just shows you how much he lies about the food being good!
and you'd be right
Americans get excited about 7-Eleven food overseas because it's superior to what 7-Elevens typically offer here in the U.S.
Just like McDonald's, one can only assume that 7-Eleven/Southland Corporation figures Americans aren't picky and will eat whatever swill they choose to sell, but customers in other countries have better palates and are more discriminating in their food choices. (Not to mention stricter food laws that often result in better product offerings.)
@@kareninalabama but we don't have good food here in Australian 7-11
You should try a 7/11 in the outer suburbs. You can get a dried out pie and meet the local meth dealer in the carpark.
That's so methed up 😂
Lmao....😅 the "one stop shop"...😂
So true..
And see a punch on!
Your local Brad?
The 711 review has confused this Aussie immensely. 😂
In saying that, his Melba review is 100% accurate. The food is amazing.
Literally last resort food 😭 the 7/11s he visits in Asia have a far better
Come to the US and we our convenience stores. You'll understand.
i was also kinda baffled by the 7 11 review but by the end i actually really like the appreciation for food shown. it's not the greatest food but it's still food and deserves some appreciation and respect. it's still nourishing and accessible. obviously a lot of ppl eat it and find it appealing, that shouldn't be looked down on just bc there's better food.
Melba is definitely the best buffet in Melbourne. Having said that, after living here for 20+ years, the buffet scene is super underwhelming compared to cities like Vegas, HK, Singapore, and South Korea. It's the reason I started watching Mike Chen in the first place, because he goes to buffets which are just spectacular compared to anything we have here.
Most Australians don't eat 7/11 unless you need a slushie
Im from melbourne, 7 11 is only an option at 4am at night when nothing else is open and you semi expect to get sick from it too
7 eleven in australia? Nobody goes there for food. It aint cheap either. Maybe for cheap coffee
Not even that, 3$ for large cup
It ain't even good coffee
It's a last resort
Yeah coffee ☕ is cheap at 7/11 . The coffee is too bitter but that's my opinion .
“Nobody goes there for food” Literally every tradie does 😂
stoners or road trips really lol so yeah u right
That buffet after the 7 eleven… the seafood section and the meat section…. I don’t know if I’ve ever been more jealous… who am I kidding, I’m always jealous of the things you eat
Mike successfully making the transition from ketchup to tomato sauce 😁👍
Haha this made me chuckle. Its always tomato sauce in my house
As you must in these here parts. Ketchup won’t do
Wait wait hold on. You’ve never had pork n apple sauce. It’s a classic
You're finally in AUS!! Welcome Mikey 🎉
So excited to see you explore Australia!! When you come to Sydney, you have to go to the Epicurean Buffet in Barangaroo. Would love to see what hidden gems you find here in Sydney
So awesome to see you in our neck of the woods!
As a Tasmanian living in Victoria, the opening made me hella excited!! Hope you enjoy our amazing country and food!
If I ate as much as Mike I would need one of those electric scooters to get me around.
Well, he’s getting there lol
@@bixby451 For real was just thinking that, dude is ballooning lol. Don't get how he can pig out that hard honestly I can't consume that much food. Also wait till you realize he is 5'4 💀
You need to do the opposite, you need to walk the food off.
He works out.. all you have to do
work out😊eat up
For a bloke that eats as mich as he does I reckon he looks pretty damn tidy. Clearly he enjoys his food and I love that he shares that with us. Wouldn't be much entertainment watching someone with an eating disorder review a buffet 🤣
Mikey... my man... Using the word "Amazing" in relation to anything from 7-11 in Australia, especially the sandwiches? What?
He says evrything is amazing, not sure why you are surprised. He could eat dog poo and say it was amazing
@@simonl4252 wtf why would you say that 🥲😬
You have to put it into context, he's from the US, ANYTHING is better than what they have.
Good to see you in Melbourne, been a huge fan of yours for years!
With all due respect 7-11 food is absolutely trash here and overpriced, not even remotely comparable to the quality throughout Asia. I would suggest food from Woolworths Metro if you're looking for something close to decent convenience store level food. If you're still in Melbourne check out Glen Waverley, Clayton, Springvale and Box Hill for Asian cuisine, Box Hill especially has a lot of Xi'an restaurants.
I see you're heading up to Sydney too, heaps of good Asian food there especially in the CBD around Haymarket area. If you visit the suburbs make sure to check out Burwood, Cabramatta, Strathfield, Eastwood and Chatswood there.
Shut up
@18:00 we have amazing pasta here as there are a lot of Italian migrants here from when they lost the last world war to us. They have been great additions to our country and refer to themselves as “wogs”. If you meet some be sure to recognise their accomplishments by saying “gday, how’s the day treating you my wog mate?”
Yeah, it's great to pick fights with the Italian migrants.
Muscle Chef meals are not exclusive to 7Eleven, thank goodness! They are available in loads of different supermarkets and even as a direct meal delivery service. Definitely rate them for taste!
It’s so interesting to see you so fascinated by the crappy junk food we have 😭
Glad to see you in Melbourne. We have some pretty amazing food! enjoy
Welcome to Melbourne Mike! My husband and I have been going to Melba for the last 16 years to celebrate our anniversary. It’s an amazing buffet!
Welcome to Melbourne Mike, hope you enjoyed your stay at the Langham. You’re literally in the heart of our city
Welcome to Australia!!! Can’t wait to see you eat in Chinatown here, such amazing food
Anthony Bourdain said Melbourne was his favourite city to eat in. I agree with the late great one.
Hi Mike
Thank you for sharing.
Mikey Chen in the house !!
Welcome Down Under mate !
If you want good pies, avoid the big brands and go to family bakeries 👍
I hope you get to Adelaide for Seafood and the Barossa Valley for great Food & Wine 👍😁
Don't eat 7/11 food !
This isn't Japan/Korea/Taiwan ! LoL
I really hope he sees this - i think Melbourne probably has better food then Adelaide tho
@@rynXVII I've lived in both, Melbourne has 4 x as many restaurants because of size, but the quality is about the same, except very high end. Adelaide has better seafood esp Tuna because of fishing industry...
Ey mikey in the house
@@rynXVIIbut but Radelaide is the best!!
He’ll have some better pies when he comes over to New Zealand ;)
The prawns are really good cheers for the Australian content mike
there are plenty of wonderful bakeries throughout Tasmania u must try plus the cheese and seafood
It was such a pleasure running into you at the buffet! Thanks for taking the time!
Which waiter were you?
@@Invincible_Force I was dining there, not a waiter.
What’s the buffet called? Food looked amazing
@@michaelmooney4460 Melba… inside The Langham Hotel
@@Michael-kg9jx man I’m so jealous you saw mikey I hope he chatted with you
Living the foodie dream ❤
Hey Mike. I enjoy your buffets. So im excited for this Australia one. I like how they do the fresh naan at a buffet. Nice! Safe travels. Enjoy!! 🐞🥰😋🌱
Because were so multicultural we have such a great range of fresh quality food and restaurants
The buffet looks absolutely amazing. The meat and sashimi section is among the best I've seen from a buffet.
Welcome finally to Australia ❤
Yes! Welcome to Melbourne
Welcome to Australia Mike!!
So excited to watch all the Australian content! Our 7/11 is so sad compared to the ones in Asia. I'm glad you were able to find something tasty.
Omg the buffet looks good
This guy is gassing up microwaved butter chicken 😂😂😂 what an awesome palate.
Excited to see the NZ edition, we have in Auckland so many little jems! The buffet looked so yummy!
lol nz blows
I agree only thing we got going is decent meat which we send to every where else. Only thing i can think of that he may truly enjoy is a hangi and seafood thats about it@Invincible_Force
Been in that business lounge in Nadi a bunch of times. Always lovely (along with greater Fiji).
I’m doubting his palate after watching this. He’s loving the most basic things
he's always liked the most basic things though, he could happily chow down on a surprisingly tasty burger king burger and then go for a wildly expensive 5 star burger full of truffles or whatever and say that it is very tasty but that he was expecting more for the price point
simple and basic can still taste good lmao Its like a lot of italian dishes, orr sandwhiches, sushi, hell even ice creram
You got a problem with basic things? You act like basic foods can't taste delicious :/
I haven’t been to the langham buffet in years and it looks like it’s gotten even better! Can’t wait to go back to try
You stayed at my favourite hotel in Melbourne! I actually recognised the 7 11 😂
Wooooo!!! I'm excited to see what you think of Australia! Especially Melbourne.
australia sucks, especially melbourne
Melbourne represent!!
Australia blows, Melbourne blows more.
All the stuff at the buffet looks like it would be great recovery meals for after a workout! Lots of great protein options!
I love that he continues to eat sushi more and more
yayy so excited for more Australian content
I just bought my hungaryroot can’t wait
Yay!!!!! You’re in Australia!!!! 😊😊😊
I live in Melbourne and that buffet is sooooo good 😍😍
Welcome to Melbourne! Make sure you hit up Chinatown and eat at Shanghai St dumpling. We also have amazing Xian food here atm too!
Going to one of the best foodie cities in Australia and eating at 7/11 😂😂
Fluffy eggs dont have anything to do with the eggs itself...its how theyre prepared... scramble some water in with your eggs & cook them in butter while scraping them to the middle to let the remaining uncooked eggs cook.. repeat & super light & fluffy eggs!
You neglected to mention that 7-11 meal would have set you back by about $60!
So wild seeing you staying right next to where i work! Enjoy the trip hopefully our food makes it worth the trip!
So cool you’re in Melbourne. Welcome 🙏
Next time you come to Australia you must go over to Western Australia. So much good food over there and down south more Margeret River for some good wine!
The 7/11 roast beef on rye is probably the best 👌
Can’t believe he ate so much and especially 7-11 food and getting so excited about it.
Hi Mike, welcome to Australia! Make sure to try El Jannah when you come to Sydney! Best charcoal chicken and garlic sauce!
Welcome to Melbourne. Hope you get to check out more of our amazing food.
hello mike chen. i live in tasmania for the pass 15 years
and i watch all your vids and i love them and love the food just wanted to say your great at vids keep up the work.
I just subscribed to your channel. I'm from Australia.
did you go to the buffet weekend or weekday because I'd like to know if same menu weekend vs weekday
Love your content Mike! 😊😊😊❤❤
Hope you enjoy yourself here in New Zealand!
That mint jelly was definitely out of a tub trust me😅
very delicious
that garlic chilli cheese naan looks to die for oh my god
Mike's eating my work lunches~! He's missing out not getting the wraps
Of all places to go eat in Australia he goes to 7-11, like what the. Unless you're a truckie or a tradie yeah sure
You watched it mate so bag yourself out for watching
Apple sauce is good with light meats and cranberry sauce is good with dark meats.
Well your trip to Aussie can only improve after starting with a 7elevyn - I am so pleased you are going to tassie. Australia is much more than Melbourne and Sydney and Tassie is beautiful
Langham is the greatest buffet, I swear 😊
i want some chicken and beef pie! omg that buffet look so good! that pork belly!!
Damn Mikey. I'm an Australian here and 7 Eleven never tickled my fancy but you got me wanting to try a darn sandwich hahaha
Aw man! I would love to show you around New Zealand! Love your content
In the UK we love apple sauce with pork. Yum
as an aussie that is really protective of our food culture i thank you for respecting our culture because when ben dean came to Australia he did not respect our food culture at all
I always peel the crusts off my 7-eleven sandwiches and my two favourites are either chicken and avocado or the peri peri chicken that you had. Their sausage rolls are not the best but their meat pies are pretty good
I appreciate your enthusiasm for our 7-11 but they’re pretty average. Pales in comparison to Asia.
Omg if your in New Zealand try the meet pies!
Still can't believe the difference between Australian 7/11 food and the ones in Japan. It's definitely a night and day experience with variety and price lol.
Welcome to Australia Mike!
I'm full and happy now. 😊 Great job, Mike! 😁💯👋🏼
Welcome. Excited to hear you're off to Tassie. Make sure you try a scallop pie when you're down there.
Hobart has a weekend market at Salamanca and there's a stall that does these Scallop skewers that are worth the trip alone
Nothing more Aussie than a cheeky little meat pie and some tom sauce
Welcome to Melbourne 🎉
The breakfast at the Langham is top notch 😂 wouldn’t trust 7/11… although, the buffet at the Langham is great
7/11 is getting better every time and now it has changed hands to its mother chain, it will get even better, i always get my iced coffee and pie for breakfast when i take my son to school,
Awesome to see you here in Melbourne hope you enjoy Australia 😊
You really need to come to Perth. We are the coffee snobs of Australia
Explore Australia more :)
I wanna see you try our fish and chips and our Kangaroo meat
TRY NZ PIES 😭😭🥰
In my town baby!
Mikey your gut coming back time to hit the gym
