You know you are an adult when you're excited about getting new appliances .😂
I have the same pair in white at Lowe's, December 2018, on sale $420 each. My laundry closet is the exact same way, washer on the right, dryer on the left, in my kitchen, do we hav the same style home? 🤔 Hmmm!🤣 I am washing clothes right now and I am always mesmerize with watching my clothes wash, I sit a flashlight on that glass lid and I'm like Wowwwwwwwwww🤯🤪! I work nights and I'm supposed to be in bed right now but I'm standing in my kitchen watching my uniforms wash (Don't mind if you call me weird!) The top load H.E. is definitely the way to go, especially these models, conventional top load design with high efficiency technology (No seal leaks to deal with). The best part about mine is that I'm a new home owner and I got them with my some of my Christmas Bonus Money! Thank you A.L.C.C! I don't work for them anymore but they treated me right when it came to my Bonus and I'm grateful! I love your video and I thank your for posting it! Wash On! Peace ✌🏾✝️👍🏾☮💯
It is kind of mesmerizing isn't it.
We just bought the same thing for $825 per machine at Best Buy. Unbelievable, check for yourself. Good for you.
Just bought that same washing machine. Glad I bought a Whirlpool.
Same I have the same color as well I love ❤️ my whirlpool washer and dryer lol.
How do you start it ? I just got the 4.8 today and it isn’t working idk if I’m doing something wrong
@@jessicapowell9820 you turn it on with the button on the left, pick your settings then to actually start it you hold in the button on the right for about 3 seconds
WOW , what an eye catcher - very NICE and High technology. Whirlpool is definitely TOP of the line .
You found such a good deal too 😃❤️ Yippee 👍
all my appliances are whirlpool. I like them all. Although I was tempted by the Samsung washer that I could have put an app on my phone to talk to the washer. lol
I am 26 years old and buying home stuff make me so happy like I’m so excited lol.
I just found out today that coins are hard on the washer, and can cause damage with the drain. I'm glad I called my repair man on time about it with my washer! I love of how some hanged laundry comes out softer than my old washer! Love the set as a whole, because I can make a laundry day of 3-4 loads done in one day compared to 5-6 days of the old pair!
Nice. I noticed my clothes being softer too. And I don't use dryer sheets very much anymore.
Very happy for you. Our GE washer we bought 2 years ago is having issues already. Love this washer.
hopefully I won't be having troubles
Only positive thoughts..LOL. GE has gone downhill. They just don't make things to last anymore. I HAD to have an agitator because I always had one and I hate mine. EVERYTHING gets tangled around it. Sleeves, pant legs, you name it. No more agitators for me in the future. Hope you have them trouble free for a long time.
You're so cute. All excited about your new appliances. Good video. Enjoy!
Awesome! Look wonderful, Michele be careful using the pods, I found spots left on my cloths with the pods, and they don't dissolve very well! Enjoy your new set!
oh I don't use pods. I use liquid. I have used some Oxi Clean boost pods and some of their powder and it never all dissolves.
I can't use powder detergent cause it won't dissolve well, i have the same washing machine 😒
you probably dont care but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost the account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Victor Austin Instablaster :)
@Kash Wells i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Just got a 2018 set used about a year by previous owner. Working great!
I have had my Whirlpool Duet HT front loading set for 16 years. No problems. People make such a big deal about the rubber gaskets, and what I think it is, is people are just yanking the clothing out of the washer, and something like buttons on jeans snag the seal causing that issue. I am for sure getting a front loader again. I can wash a full load in 30-40 minutes, and dry in about 30-45 minutes. I looked into this set once, but I cannot get past the agitation. I would get an LG top loader before I get this, because the agitation is much stronger. Glad you love your set! Next time try to consider the front loads! You would love them and they would save you more money than what these do.
Good to hear that some one has had a good experience with front loader. I haven't had problems with this washer. Lots of bad comments on my video about it. This washer does have a lot of energy and water saving features built into it. And the dryer is fast which I really think is help by the washer spinning most of the water out of the clothes.
@@michellesfrugallivin I did have a whirlpool cabrio two years ago, and I hated it. It used such little water, it did not clean the clothes, and it always had a mildew/mold smell. Upgraded that to a samsung top loader. Don't like the samsung either, but it is far better than the Whirlpool. So right now with me having the front loader, and top loader I would significantly choose the front load. Spins over 1,100rpms, can wash a full load in 30 minutes, and the dryer can dry a full load of towels in 45 minutes.
Getting mine this Friday! Can’t wait 😊
nice
They are awesome!! 👍
thanks you
nice set..love the interface noises n touch aspect
yeah the tones were a surprise
My husband got me the same pair for christmas early christmas present by the way. So excited i get them delivered next week.. Can't wait ! Glad i saw your review
I still like them. Blankets and pillows are easy to wash in it.
Could you tell us the model #'s🙏
Haha very nice touch at the end of the video when you put the end screen from the washer/dryer :)
When we first got the set we had an issue with "LF" flashing on the digital screen. If this happens check the valves this washer saved me from a flooded floor.
Loooong story!!!!
I haven't seen that. I have gotten off balance message which is nice that it will stop instead of keep spinning.
Hello sarah im adan i currently have the same issue i get the “LF” code and i need to fix it if you could please contact me to see how to fix it
Adan Ramirez it means low flow water rate . Hopefully u got it fixed already . They do have thicker inlet hoses to increase the rate . Maybe that would work
@@michellesfrugallivin
Hi Michelle,
Where did you purchase your dryer and washer?
@@lilianamorales1282 Charlie Wilson's appliance. It is a local place
So happy for you! I love the new washer and dryer. I can’t wait until mine wear out. I have a front load washer and I hate it.
yeah I was waiting for the day I could justify getting a new washer. I am sure this will save a lot of water and energy and be much better on my cloths
I hate my front load washer too!! I can’t wait till I can get a new set!
Dawn T why y’all hate the front load washer ? I’m seriously need to know the difference
Just got these today. Heard a lot of bad reviews about this style washer. It must depend on the brand because I absolutely love mine! I have kids and I’ve been smelling their clothes as they come out and they’re very clean.
I didn't realize that people hated this type of washer until they started telling me in the comments on this video. I really made this video for my regular viewers because I always filmed my videos on my washer and dryer and I wanted to show them why I was changing locations. Now it is in my top 10 most viewed. I am glad you like yours. I haven't had any problems. I really like that it will turn itself off if it gets unbalanced.
I love it. I want a set like these
I just purchased a new Whirlpool washer and dryer set, washer model# WTW8127LC, and it was installed yesterday. There's definitely gonna be a learning curve with these "smart" machines. Like you, my dryer went on the fritz, and since I had purchased both my former washer and dryer over 22 years ago, I decided it was time to take the plunge again. I also have to have my dryer on the left and washer on the right, because of a similar situation as you. I also like the hamper-style dryer door. One thing I'm still looking for is an actual operating manual, showing all of the details and functions of both machines. I feel I could learn how to use these quicker if I had the manuals. Do you know how to obtain online pdf versions of the manuals? Thanks for any help!
I did find a manual on use
www.whirlpool.com/content/dam/global/documents/201708/UseandCareGuide-W11037201-RevA.pdf
the link was from this page which has links to other manuals for the washer
www.whirlpool.com/owners-center-pdp.WTW7500GC.html
I just did a general web search for the manual and model number.
Hope that helps.
@@michellesfrugallivin I actually did finally find the manual online. Thanks for checking!
I just got this same set and my laundry room is made the same way the door opening backwards always messed with me and got in my way a lot it would hit the trash can and my leg. I love these and haven’t even had em a full day
beautiful set that is what I want when I pay off my new fridge and new stove
I think I am going to like these ones.
You will love them. The best feature is they hold so much in one load. I can wash
five queen size sheets, six pillow cases and six pillow liners in one load. You will use less water, less hot water and electricity.
Rent a center has great deal on them
We just purchased the exact set ourselves. I was very excited in using them. But when in using the dry it is extremely loud.
How does this washer work? Just got one
You can change the door opening direction on the swing type
I just bought the same set it'll be delivered Saturday
nice. Mine are still working great.
We just got ours a week, and a half ago. I love them!! We had a smaller Amana set, and I got to say the Whirlpool set is double compared!
We bought one like that after our flood a couple years ago. It plays a little song when it is done with the cycle. It's been great for 2.5 years so far. Love it! The new dryer is getting a little noisier now...probably the sliders wearing down. Love what you picked out!
thanks. I am little concerned about all the digital stuff. I always feel like I am better off if I can replace a part if needed. I feel like I need to take some of the stuff off the shelves above so they don't fall on these things and break that button area.
michellesfrugallivin Me too, Michelle. I have changed parts in my dryer/washer/dishwasher too. However, my husband paid for the new ones and he is into all the new fangly crap. If it breaks.. he has to get a new one. Right now we are more threatened with sewage backups unless we install a 5k backwater valve and a sump pump.
+Berkley Coupon oh sewer backup isn't no fun. I have experienced that a few times at my job. Yuck
I just bought this used W/D set. What I need to know is if you can run washer cycle using hot water only with cold water hose on spigot turned off. My cold water connection to water spigot leaks & until I have that repaired, how can I run washer cycle with only hot water connection to spigot on? I tried to run washer cycle without cold water connection on & only hot water connection on. I receive an error code "LF" Long Fill & the washer stops.
interesting question. I hadn't run into that situation so haven't tried having cold line turned off. I do know some of the cycles only let certain options to work. I just don't think I ever ran a wash with just hot water selected. I would be interested in a solution if you find one.
And just an idea on your cold water line leaking...does it have a rubber gasket in it? Like is in a garden hose.
Great deal!!!
Hi I just bought one set washer and dryer is good.
Would you tell me how to open small brash box put soup? And the water how to drain away after hand wash?
Thank you
You just pull on the drawer. Grab it from the bottom, and it slides out. And if you want to get the water out just run a spin cycle. There is a button for that.
So happy you decided to go with a new set. Love the color! You would think this color be more expensive than white. Interesting sounds. LOL! I think yours will be the next one I get. I have GE front washer/dryer. We've replaced the rubber around the drum and it's showing discoloration on it and I have to constantly leave the door open. Bugs me big time. Is your plastic?
I don't think I ever had anyone tell me they would buy front load washer again. Those rubber seals seem to be a problem. These are metal and the washer lid and dryer door are glass. It seems funny the dryer has a glass door as if I was going to sit there and watch it like I am baking cookies. The sounds seem like a trendy fad kind of thing. I totally wasn't expecting it but after 2 loads now I am getting used to it.
Just got mine 2 days ago. Washer soaked well the clothes. However sons shirt with booger was still on all dried up. Hmmm. Also dryer smells a little burnt when I open dryer during cycle. Clothes doesn’t smell when done. Also on the dryer setting what do you put for the dryness level and heat level. I put half for both on 2 towels for 45 minutes then added more time because it was still moist on the edges. Any common problems
I pick towels and use 3 dots on heat for a large load and it really doesn't take the full time.
Hi we have this washer and dryer almost 2 month. Just want to ask you an question, do you hear a sound of hitting pipe in the drywall every time the machine supplies or released water?
The noise I hear that would be most similar to what you describe is the water pump turning on and off. Of course that is in the machine and not the wall. If you really have noise in the wall, maybe your pipe needs a strap around it attaching it to a stud so it doesn't bang around.
You need a water hammer arrestor to stop the pipes from banging, common problem when the washing machine shuts off water abruptly.
Very nice!!
Is there a way to just start it from the rinse cycle?
But it doesn’t roll the clothes over like an old direct-drive with an actual agitator.
It’s a nice looking machine though.
But otherwise, I would prefer a more aggressive wash action.
So, if it’s going be a direct-drive with an agitator, then it’s going to be an older Whirlpool, Sears Kenmore, or a Maytag here and there. Or otherwise, I’ll be going with a before 2017 or before Speed Queen or a 2019 Old Style Speed Queen.
Or if I decide on front loader, then I would have to go LG.
-Charles-
Charles Purvis Kelly, Jr. I just moved into an apartment that was built in 2001 and still has the original Whirlpool direct drive. That thing is a beast compared to the pos cabrio at my last apartment.
If you’re still around in the comments I’m curious to know how you like them now? If you still have them? Pros cons and maybe a follow up video or something now that you’ve had them for a while.
Yeah I still have them and haven't had any problems. What I have noticed is the more clothes you put in the more they get twisted together. I feel the thing is that it is so easy to over fill the washer because it is so big and open without an agitator. At the same time it is great for washing blankets and pillows. It has a feature that stops it if it goes off balance. I should make another video.
Michelle's frugal living, we are considering buying this washer/dryer combo. Another video with an update will be awesome!
Michelle's frugal living thanks for responding that helps!
I made another video today
I had my kenmore for 17 years! 17! They don't make them like they used to.
No they don't.
What kind model of whirlpool are they?
the washer is WTW7500GC0
Hey! I’m having trouble figuring out how to turn on and start my new washing machine! It’s a little older model then this one but I was hoping you can help in any way!
I have to hold the button for about 5 seconds to activate it
Me and my wife just got them two days ago love it
How has it been working for the past year?
@@sherecelewis8968 still working running storng no problem we wash big loads im glad we got it
Great we got them over a month now. This helped thank you! So far l love them
FYI the doors on most dryers today are reversable to open either way.
I had issues where to put the soap. You're kind.
Hi Michelle- I have the same set. Do you know how to fill the drum with water and let stuff soak in it over night without the drum draining all the water after it’s filled by the spout near the soap dispensers? I know about the pre-soak cycle but I want to soak for a longer period of time an entire bed spread. Thanks!
I haven't ever done that. Haven't even used the pre soak. You might have to trick it. Like do the deep water settings and when it fills up stop the machine by holding in the start button. It should just sit there until you tell it to start again.
It’s tricky lol! I’ve tried everything! I think it automatically drains after a certain amount of time. Oh well I’ll soak in the sink! Thanks for reply
Kristen Jawor-Brady what if you unplugged it while it was full?
Ours somehow got the sheets twisted up and tossed to one side which made the whole machine tumbled loudly to the left.....360 degrees. Which of course destroyed the inner tumbler unit and tumbler supports.
Can you tell me how to reprogram it minus stock and just keeps beeping
have you tried unplugging it, kind of like a computer reboot
EVEN MY WHIRLPOOL STOVE DOES THE SAME CHIME SOUND, IS DIGITAL AND WIFI SO I GUESS IS THEIR SIGNATURE LOL
I just bought this exact set at Home Depot, they are going to be delivered in a few weeks. How is yours holding up?
They are like new still after a year. And I wouldn't go back to a regular washer. The dryer still heats great.
@@michellesfrugallivin Thank you for the update, glad they are still working great! I bought a five year warranty with mine.
I have problems trying to learn how to use mine. I want to use my oxy but have no idea how...please help. ty
I am not sure what the recommendation is for oxi. Like I did with my old washer I just dump it on top where I know the water will flow on it. You could put it in before the laundry and dispense some water on it so it dissolves.
Does your washer machine wash on cold when you set it cold? Mine seems to still be hot when the load is completed
I never noticed a problem with that. Is your hot and cold lines hooked up backwards?
Hey great video review Michelle...just doing some market research here but wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me where you put in the dirty laundry to wash but forget to move to the dryer bc you're busy or distracted and then the clothes get stinky or you have to wash it again wasting water, electricity and detergent??? LOL....just trying to come up with solutions for something like an "instant laundry" but not the combo type so just pop it in and then like an hour later it's done washed and dried. Any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated y'all! ;) Thx
I have those moments a lot, and we just buy the Oxi Clean powder.
How's the washer and dryer now? I am looking to purchase this set soon and just curious.
They are still working great. I don't have any complaints about them.
QponHoney
Me too! They are on a great deal with Home Depot.
Who knew washer and dryers could look so modern?
Thanks for the great review. Wow that's a great deal you got on this set! About the washer though, have you found any issues with that design of tub not getting really soiled clothes clean? It doesn't seem to agitate as well as the older style. Thanks a bunch, I'm on the market for a new set myself and really like these.
Oh it agitates the clothes. Everything gets mixed up. I don't really get my clothes that soiled but I have gotten stains out. And I can wash blankets easily. The capacity it huge. I thought I wanted a front loader until I started hearing about the doors leaking. I am really happy to have this washer. I wouldn't go back to one with thing in the middle.
I just bought one .. I mean it was delivered yesterday. I’m finding that all though it’s extra large capacity.. are the clothes really getting clean. To me it doesn’t agitate the clothes.
@@Mimi33948 We get soap residue on our dark clothes. Very frustrating. After a month of use, now the damn thing wants to leak water under the unit. Only had the unit for a month. The dryer is pretty good so far.
@@alexmighty9004 OMG Wow, I guess we really don’t know until we purchase these things. I would be so pissed. Well so far mines is working good .I do find that the load and go to me doesn’t use enough detergent so now I’m wondering if it’s washing good. But I’m stuck with it now lol. Do you have a warranty?
After some long term use, how would you rate your experience with these machines? We are in the market and these come highly recommended but it’s kinda hard to virtual shop major appliances during a COVID lockdown.
I still like them. They both still work and haven't had any issues. My boyfriend was given a set of electrolux front load. I prefer the top load washer. I might feel different if he had the washer on a stand. It is difficult to unload and I don't have any physical conditions. And I like the control settings much better on my washer and dryer. And I did make a follow up video to this one if it didn't come up as a suggestion to you. It is called something like my washer and dryer 2 years later.
@@michellesfrugallivin do the pods just get thrown in?
@@godsgift0069 pods need to be put in the drum first and then put the laundry on top
@@michellesfrugallivin okay thank you
I dont know how I feel about this. lol. But my set up is the same way. The washer is on the right and my dryer is on the left and my dryer door is awkward like you mentioned,It opens up the wrong way . It could be taken off and put back on the other way, according to the salespeople but I have just dealt with it. It really is not too bad.
I would love that color for 50 bucks cheaper. heck yeah. I do not entertain people in my laundry room. Oh wait,I do videos in there. I might have to upgrade now so I can keep up with Michelle. lol. I dont think my husband is gonna go for that. lol. I hope mine keeps working ,I know you would have kept yours if it was still working.
Yeah I was thinking nobody would ever see the grey (because really it doesn't match my decor). I suppose it is an option for people with stainless steel appliances which I don't have. But some how i like this grey. I thought about you when I was getting these because we wouldn't have matching washer/dryer any more. I do know one thing...I can't be doing videos on them any more. Only if it is light weight and not in cans. I am still pondering where to do videos.
In Best Buy in NY thee grey one is actually $100 more than thee white . I loved thee grey more so I just took it .
michellesfrugallivi have you had good luck with this set?
How do you even use this
You should’ve found an agitator washer with water levels ‘cause then you would’ve been able to put in way more clothes.
I just bought a pair and I don’t know how to start a load Can you please help me out
you turn it on with the button on the left, pick your settings and then touch the button on the right for about 3 seconds. you will hear it make a noise. You can shut it off with that same button on the right.
Beautiful I really need a washer but can't find a cheap :(
My striker snapped in half. It is the latch that locks the lid down. Ugh
lg also make one that can be a hamper and swing 2 in 1
I just got the same pair, but is it just me or does it seem like the clothes don't spin too good while washing? Maybe I'm just used to the old school washers with the spin thing in the middle. The dryer is awesome though 😂
yeah it took me sometime to get used to the washer not having the agitator in the middle. I think it more wobbles and turns slowly. If you over fill it, you will see how it can twist cloths or especially towels. And I think picking the settings of what type of items you put in there effects how the drum acts.
My question is how to rinse the water if I just wanna my clothes to express,I don’t want water to come out
we just got this set (same color, with hamper door), and I'm soo impressed with them! I woke up this morning actually excited to do laundry for once! just curious if you're still happy with them now that you've been using them for a while. I hope to take rly good care of ours so they will last as long as possible.
Oh yeah I still like them. Usually I feel like I should be doing laundry but don't have any. I think I am doing less loads because it hold more.
I need a new washer. No agitator?? Clutch my pearls
this washer is really great
I just got the updated set of these same models and why does it seem like it doesn’t agitate as good or barely does agitate? And what is the soil setting for necessarily?
They aren't like old washers. It is easy to over load this machine. I don't know about that setting.
I have the same set
How well does it clean without the center agitator? In your opinion? Also, can you add extra water? I house sat once and used the washer and it barely had any water. I got a large bowl and added more water to make it wash better. It had the water sensor too. Thank You!
I think it cleans just fine. I haven't felt like it is leaving stains in the cloths. It has a deep water setting but I don't feel like I need to use it. You ever see how much water is in a front load machine? This is the same in that it is made to use less water.
Michelle's frugal living Awesome! Thank you for the information and demo!!
Had these installed by home depot today. My dryer is hot but not turning. Any suggestions?
There is a thing on the bottom that has to be removed so the drum will move
Michelle's frugal living what thing I’m having the same problem
jhumber95 I had the same problem. Had repair man come and belt was twisted. Works ok now.
I just got one and I'm having issues with blankets F0E9. Customer service was no help. It keeps going unbalanced even for small blankets. I've tried them by itself and I also tried adding clothes to balancing, and adjusting it. Any recommendations? I've never had issues with my other washers.
I am not sure. I got the unbalance load several times but now it doesn't seem to recognize it is unbalance. The washer started moving last week. fortunately I heard it banging. Sounds like you tried what I have done ... adding towels or something to balance it. I also try to put it into the washer even...not exactly folded but kind of flat.
@@michellesfrugallivin thanks. I got it to work. It said in the manual not to lay in on the agitator, but that's the only way it will work. I just shove the comforters and blankets in and now its fine.
When should u add the tide pods ? I don’t understand lol it drains the water after I put them in
yeah I think you need to look in the user manual. I have lost mine for right now. I just use liquid.
Best Buy want $50-$100 more for the chrome & Gray
I didn't even price check there.
Hi I just got this set but the dryer door is different but I am trying to figure out if something is wrong with the dryer I put in on towels it says 1:05 it goes down once it gets to 1:02 the 1 disappears and stops 2 mins later could you tell me if it’s defective or could I possibly be doing something wrong
Mine did something like that once. It just didn't want to keep running. I think I just put it on another setting and it worked fine. It just did it that one time. Don't know why.
I just purchased mines& waiting for it to be delivered
The washer doesn’t come with that middle piece the agitator?
doesn't have one. The bottom has ridges and it moves separate from the rest of the drum so it is able to move the clothes around.
How do you work this machine hit me back 🤣🤣
Why don't the clothes move around it just sits there and I'm like is these clothes getting a good clean r what I'm really stractching my head
I just bought this set last night and the grey was $100 more each unit - so you got a great deal! I was torn between white and grey - I went with grey but I'm still not sure, should your washer and dryer "match" your furniture?? Do you like the grey?? One more question - do you have to use HE detergent only? I heard you can use regular but just use less - is that true?? Thanks!
I am good with the grey even if all my other appliances are white. It is made for HE and I think you are supposed to use less if you use regular. I didn't read the manual so I don't know what they actually suggest. It probably tests the water to see if it needs to rinse more if you use too much.
Do not use regular detergent. It wil build up around the drum. Also use the clean washer cycle once a month
There are 3 detergent compartments, what is the first on the left compartment for?
First on the left is just the place water flows out of. There is a button next to it if you want to presoak something or just get a little water. It runs out that space.
You change most doors. My front loaders they changed door direction.
Whirlpool = Toyota of Appliances
Nice, I really want a new set but I don't need a new set. 😩😩😩
+GregThatDudeTv I couldn't justify buying new until that dryer gave out. I got them at Charlie Wilson's. I never shopped there before But they really do beat other prices. And free delivery.
When you were showing the wash cycle, your clothes were hardly moving. How can they be cleaned that way?
They move around a lot. I've done small loads and big loads. All comes out great.
They don't come out clean, poor machine. I'm Bev from above the massage therapist, don't waste your money.
Hello! I just bought this same set and was wondering how it had held up since you bought it. Iv heard about many issues with these high efficiency appliances and took a shot for the whirlpool brand since my last pair lasted forever! Any feedback would be great! Also nice video I love the gray color. In my area the white was cheaper so that’s what I went with
They are just fine. I haven't had any problems. It knows when it gets off balance and stops itself. The dryer usually doesn't take the full time it suggests.
I was gonna purchase these but wanted to check with you first to see how your were holding up and see if you you would recommend them????
I think it is great. Haven't had any issues. I was getting ready to make a follow up video right now because so many people asked for one.
@@michellesfrugallivin Thank you so much for the speedy reply! I m buying them just b/c of ur video. U need to let them know they need to give u some kinda commission. Thks a million.
I feel like I should get a little commission as many questions as I have answered about them.
I have to buy my first set of washer and it’s a discouraging nightmare. All brands and types seems to have horrendous reviews. Predominantly that there is not enough water and clothes have to be washed or rinsed a second time or you need to manually add more water. Then the problem with rusting or staining of the drum? GE seems to suffer from being extremely loud. This is insane. WTf does this happen? What happened to quality? Does it not exist any longer?
I think a lot of it is government regulation on water and energy reduction. This washer has a deep water setting but that still won't fill the whole drum. I don't/haven't had any trouble with my washer and dryer but I don't have a job that makes my cloths dirty. You might want to look at most old fashioned style washer. I tell you that I don't like the idea of a washer having a computer in it. Washers work fine without it.
@@michellesfrugallivin thank you Michelle
Where do you put your tide pods?? Just throw it in there??
On the dispenser thing what is the one on the left for...how do ya use it?
The slot on the left is just where the manual water dispenser flows water out.
Mines keep saying add garments and it never wash I having problems I’m reading and still nothing it’s say washing complete after add garments lite and then washing complete 🤦♀️
it takes about a minutes after you push the start button for it to actually start washings.
I just got the same washer but can’t seem to get it to work.
you turn it on with the button on the left. Then pick the settings for the type of load. Then you have to hold in the button on the right to make it start.
Holy wow!!
Hello did you buy pedestal for these? I just learned where to put the detergent and softener 🙏 thank you
no I didn't but they would be nice. thanks for watching
Can you just pour the washing powder in there instead of pouring it n the tray
@@laquittasimpson9490 you can but I would suggest the tray so no clumping on your clothes
Have you cleaned it or found any filters that needs maintenance on the washer?
Just xurious
No filters I know of. Other than the standard dryer lent trap. I haven't done any kind of cleaning and have had them over a year. Haven't had any issues.
i bought mine two months ago and my darks have residue on them...i have put less detergent and still its there...have you had this problem. trying to figure out how to get it to not do it..
Yeah, that's my biggest complaint. That and now the damn thing is leaking under the unit. Only had it for a month.
Do you manually fill the washer with the faucet button ?
No. Really I have just used it to rinse out the detergent bottle when it is empty.
Yayyyyyyy beautiful set ❤❤❤❤❤
thanks
Can you do a 6 year update in January 2024?
Sure or I could do it sooner. Spoiler alert. They are still working like new. 😁
@@michellesfrugallivinI had said January because that’s when you got them but I’d love another video sooner!
Did you ever hear a noise near the spin cycle that sounded like a click or a rattle, kinda loud? I have same set (3 months old) and I just heard that noise and then like a click each time the barrel went around in the rinse cycle. (just wondering) - I was thinking maybe my load was too light - just a guess, never heard that sound before ... thanks
I have heard clicking. I think it is some kind of self balancing system
Yeah it's normal. Was okay at first but now I can heard the clicking depends on how much clothes you put in the wash. Only issue now is my drain and spin option, it goes on for a good 3 minutes and when it reached its highest spinning point it slows down and starts rinse the clothes which I never selected ot amd restarts
Hi Michelle, we are currently in the market for a new washer and dryer. Would you please let us know if there are any pros or cons from these machines. Thanks, much appreciated😉
Hey I happened to see your comment, and not to be intrusive or anything but I work as a representative for whirlpool in Toronto,Canada and just wanted to let you know about the machine a bit further.
Pros:
Great size (instead of putting 3 different loads, this machine would probably be able to devour them all at once, saving more water, electricity and just the hassle of going back and forth
Deep Water Wash: offers extra 14 inches of water level in order to properly soak the clothes and submerge them nicely. Comes as an option instead of a cycle (e.g, if you want a normal wash but with extra water level)
Energy Efficient Certified machines cut on electricity and water usage by up to 20%.
Exclusive to Whirlpool and Maytag is actually having the drum welded in one piece instead of clipping it which in other words makes the machine more durable withstanding fast spin cycles.
Cons:
High fast spins especially when it is on "Heavy Duty" will make a louder than usual sound because the machine has to increase water pressure and extra rinse the clothes while adding a spin that goes up to 850 RPM.
Price might be an issue for customers as well.
Intuitive control panel and water levels: customers who have used old machines know exactly how much easier it was to select a cycle and turn the machine on as it was all knobs and very customizable. Unfortunately, with the new mandates on energy consumption saving from the government the machine cannot exceed a certain limit for water usage during a cycle BUT Whirlpool and Maytag are the only machines that have the "Deep Water Fill" which I talked about above as an option.
I haven't had issues. If it goes off balance it turns itself off. I had a pillow and towels in it. Washing blankets and pillows is great. I do notice the more clothes you put in it the more the twist up around each other. Which seems to be what people complain about on my video. I only use Tide liquid. People seem to complain their clothes are still dirty. Maybe they use cheap detergent. I tell you that I noticed my clothes feel softer. I don't know if it is the washer or dryer doing it. And for some reason I don't have to use dryer sheets to keep the static away. I use them with sheets and t shirts now.
@@jeanpierreistanbouli2225 Hi Jean, is the matching dryer Energy Star Certified?
@@stevechance150 yes it :)
Just bought a whirlpool washer like this one. I’ve done 2 loads in it and the fabric softener is not dispensing. Any suggestions
hi there just bought one too and after the first load it did not dispense the fabric softener I figured out you have to turn that on where it's says fabric softener
interesting
