I just had a set delivered to my house today after my 23 year old Kenmore finally died. The model I got was larger with the 5.3 drum with the removable agitator. Thank you for your review!! It was extremely helpful! You were the only one I could find that did a review on these models. As for the wifi enabled, I don't really see a use for the washer, but the dryer I would definitely have an opportunity to use it. If I am drying a load and I have to leave the house quickly and forget to turn off the dryer, I would use the app to turn it off. I live in the country and I have 4 dogs that could be stuck in the house if there was a fire. I try to always turn off the dryer before I leave. Just makes me rest more easily.
This is an excellent review! I’m having this set delivered tomorrow (ordered them before seeing your review), and I found your tips and run-down very helpful. Thank you so much! God bless.
Just saw the video. Only side note, you're always supposed to dilute your fabric softener when you put it in the dispenser. Pour whatever amount of fabric softener in the dispenser and then fill the dispenser completely up with water to the full line and you should not have that issue anymore with it gunking up
So happy for your RUclips. Just bought these and have a huge problems operating the washer. Finally figured out how to get it to wash however the detergent didn’t dispense. ☹️. Your video has given me incentive to try again. Thank you.
@@MariaRoseGonzalezsame problem what I can get out of other u tube video is there no single dispense u have to fill it up. Now that’s a problem with me bc I use the pods
I just got the washer this week and I love it too!! One tip about the fabric softener, make sure you have the fabric softener option turned on when using fabric softener. Otherwise, it will not dispense properly and that is why its building up in the dispenser. I've used fabric softener multiple times with the fabric softener setting on and have not had this issue once.
Had to leave this set at our last house when we moved in December last year. After a year with a beat up LG (likely nice when new...in 2004) pair that came with our new house, and being unable to wash the comforter at home, my wife is finally ready to upgrade back to this set with the gas dryer. The WiFi functionality was useful for me, I could load the clothes before bed or before leaving for work, and start the washer to finish at X time so the load wasn't sitting wet for hours on end.
Great review very thorough you covered just about everything you could. By the way the normal setting on the washer is the government energy qualified setting so it uses the least amount of water therefore the installer was right by steering you away from using normal. The same holds true for the dryer it tends to shut off quicker than it should leaving like the seam of pants/pjs not fully dry.
Kenmore washers of the late 50s and into the 60s had washers that had an agitator with a scrubber top. Same principal as here and a measuring cup that fit over it to cover it up when not in use. What's old is New again.
I just got my washer yesterday and was washing on the regular cycle with the deep fill water setting… was thinking I needed to return it because the water level was still so low that it hardly covered my clothes. I am going to try a different setting to see if the deep fill really has more water! Thank you for this information!
@@terryannsweeney4428 I use normal with low water, reason why washers spin is because it “spins the clothes to absorb the water” so it will get soaked with water evenly…. So no need to fill the top of the washer with water is pointless and wasting water….. I like the normal mode and my clothes are clean
I have a 12-year-old 5.0 cu.ft. Whirlpool Cabrio impeller washer. Although some people complained about it's washing ability, I founded it does a great job. It's still in great shape, except for an important issue, but I only use it a few times a month because I have a good number cloths and it's just me. That problem, which is a known issue, is that for a few years it has increasingly shut down because of overload and drained the water, even when it was not overloaded. I would have to try different procedures like starting it and unplugging it for a few minutes, and changing the setting and starting it again to try to reset it--also pulling the drum up when it is empty several times to free the release mechanism in case it is sticking (I think perhaps one time years ago I mistakenly used non-HE detergent and possibly suds overflowed and dripped on the spindle/axle underneath the drum and corroded it, who knows). It's becoming increasingly difficult to get it work--sometimes I just have to go through proceduress five times to get it to work properly, or else just rinse and spin to finish the wash, and just now, the I the last time I used it, I tested it first with no clothes hello detergent, and it through the overload, and no matter what I did I could not get it to finish a load, so after attempting the procedure a couple of times with detergent and a couple more with no detergent, I just finished it with a spin and dry, which seems to sufficiently clean the clothes, but after a lot of aggravation and wasted water and energy. I've heard different reports as to whether that can be fixed or not, which is too bad because aside from that glitch the machine works fine. So I'm looking to buy a new one with a new dryer, as the dryer I have is a smaller, older, different brand model that doesn't heat enough anymore, so I have to run it twice. I'm thinking maybe I will go with the Whirlpool convertible agitator/impeller version--is that a direct drive or belt driven? The only complaint I've read about that one is that it can make noise in the spin cycle if it's not fully loaded, although that may b just a matter of some machines being out of balance or the clothes not being distributed evenly. I also do not care for all the electronics--I prefer knobs and maybe a few buttons. The electronics seemed to be what failed and caused the problems throwing the overload on my current Cabrio, or maybe the electronics combined with the poorly designed floating tub release mechanism.
I just found some more info about my particular Cabrio. Although it is prone to having motherboard problems, as mine seems to have with the overload problem, it is a rather ingenious and simple design, developed by a New Zealand Company--this is from one webpage: My first encounter with the Cabrio washing machine design was at Whirlpool repair training in San Diego just before the Cabrio washer was introduced. I was immediately impressed with the simplicity of the Cabrio design and the ease diagnosis and repair. Now that a few years have passed since this washer's introduction, it has become more apparent that the control board of this washing machine is fairly common to have problems. The Cabrio washer's main sub seal is also common to leak, leading to rusted and loud spin bearings. The customer feed back concerning the Cabrio washer's ability to clean clothes is mixed.
I had the cabrio too ,i didnt like it ,jus had to used it for years 😄😃😅🤣 the machine saved lots of water for sure ,but my cloths dint smell nice like when you can adjust the water so i always used the extra rinse 😃 also constantly the load piled it in 1 side so always used the low spin 😨now i just got the whirpool set with the agitator and water adjuster 😆😃 but i cant figure out why the washer doesn't release the detergent 😏😒🙄🤷♀️😆
@@MariaRoseGonzalez it doesn't release the detergent because they are designed not to get your clothes clean. that's a joke. Sort of. Are you sure you're putting the detergent where it's supposed to be and not in the bleach dispenser? The Cabrio I had was purchased about mid 2009, and those earlier ones had magnetic propulsion drive, so no driveshaft and no belts, propelled by magnetic impulses like a magnetic propulsion train. It would spin to very high speeds with hardly any vibration, you may not even know it was running with your hand on it. So the model you have may have been different--they had several versions after that which used a belt drive, starting in 2010. I found it did put enough water in but I always used the extra rinse because it didn't seem to rinse enough with a single rinse, leaving a slight soap residue. There's a whole story after it finally stopped working where first I got a large capacity LG direct drive that caused too much vibration on spin, even with nothing in it, which was replaced by the store with another of the same model, which had the same problem, so I returned it for a refund and bought from another retailer a large capacity Whirlpool direct drive, one with the detachable agitator and ability to add more water. Well that hardly put any water in during the normal setting, the washed the clothes almost dry, it seemed, which would be hard on them, and kept pausing, and seemed to leave a residue after rinsing. If I added more water per deep fill, the clothes just floated on top and were not affected at all by the impeller. Even when I attached the agitator, it did nothing but mirror the motion of the impeller it wasn't a real agitation motion, and did not do anything to agitate the clothes, with a deep fill, or even with a normal operation because the water level always seemed to be below the agitator, which was just going with the impeller anyway. So two gimmicks they touted, deep fill and attachable/detachable agitator that either did not work at all or did nothing. So I returned the Whirlpool for a refund and purchased from that same store the original model of LG that I had returned twice to the other retailer, after I saw Consumer Reports rate all the LG as excellent for washing, but it gave that particular model a poor rating for water conservation. I said that's what I need, one that uses the normal amount of water. I just do clothes for myself and not that often because I don't go out as much and I have a large number of clothes, so water conservation is the last thing I'm worried about. I would use more water with one or two flushes of the older non-conserving toilets I have. Anyway, that same model LG delivered from the second retailer did not have the vibration problems of the other two, and I noticed the bottom edge under the machine was somewhat different, in that it did not have something protruding underneath like the other ones did, so maybe they redesigned it or others were defective. However with this LG, the deep fill doesn't work properly to wash the clothes, similar to the Whirlpool where it floats them on top that agitating them, but I run it just on the normal setting for everything and it gives sufficient water eventually, based on its auto load sensing after it enters the second or third cycle. Strangely, adding an extra rinse messes up all the settings and puts too much water in to begin with so doesn't work right, so I just have to leave it on normal and it works fine.
It says in the instructions that you should dilute your softener with water before pouring it in. I suggest you pour a gallon of hot water down there because there is probably still some in between your bin and drum.
@@CasaOlivares169 this person says theirs drains all the way, if yours isn’t I saw another comment that said you’re supposed to dilute your softer , try putting your softer and then filling the rest with water
An FYI. I’ve had this set for 14 months. Just once, the washer got stuck on the spin mode. I was not at home (first mistake). When I left it was spinning and 3 hours later, when I returned, it was still spinning! I can’t believe it didn’t burn itself out! The clothes were partly dry!!! I was using the sanitation mode and I had other issues with that mode always coming off balance so I don’t use that mode anymore.
That was likely because of an unbalanced load. It will stop refill And try to move clothes around. Than it spins again if it's still unbalanced it will stop and start the refill again.
I noticed that Whirlpool has changed this model from an impeller to an agitator recently, which I love. I am glad that you are happy with your washer and dryer. I will be purchasing this model with the agitator and the dryer to match in the near future. Thank you so much for the review.
@@cherylcentenioblessedvirgi3241 hi looking for a washer i saw the 2 un 1 whrilpool model did u buy it please tell me if they r good iam looking for 1 that is somewhat quiet and shorter cycles thank you good day
I'm at Lowe's at this very moment looking at the exact same model number. There are a few differences from yours, the most notable one is that this has an agitator (which I want).
Thank you, we got one a week ago, the installers cracked something by tightening too much, and it took a long time for the second crew to figure out where the leak was coming from (brand new machine 1 week ago). Kind of leary, want to try the load and go, but the first machine, it emptied somewhere, we don't know where. So thankful to find this.
Whirlpool seems to be a great washer , bought a maytag washer and dryer for the very first time, had it returned to store within 2 weeks. Love my whirlpool like to be able to look into the washer. Highly recommend. God Bless
This was helpful I am thinking about getting this exact washer. The wifi comes in extreme handy for me and my family. We are infamous for starting washer maybe going to inlaws how's ND staying over night. So that feature will help to if we do something like this we can start the load over so it does not start to smell if left in washer that way when we get back can throw into dryer.
And also the app will tell you when the load is done! I live in an older house where the washer and dryer are in the garage so I don’t hear any alerts when it’s done. Definitely handy!
Got the dryer on order, not because of your video we just found one on our own. Seems nice, I want to know more about the smart features! Should be delivered this week! Thanks for the run-down ninja
An anctual installer came ysterday, he found that the leak was happening bc the first insallers who spoke NO English, tightened the bolts too tight and hairline cracked something. Doing our sheets now, hopefully, this is settled, i don't use wifi, so your video helped me to 'see' the functions without using that.
Had to laugh when you said you didn't like the way the dryer door opened. We bought it because of the way the door opened. Like our old one we use the door to fold the clothes as we take them out of the dryer. The door is perfect for that.
Nothing wrong with the audio. You came through clearly. I do have a question for you though. I just bought a whirlpool top loader but not as smart as yours. Is it possible to pause a washer load, throw that lone sock into it that got missed when initially loading it, and then restart the machine, WITHOUT having all the water drain out (there goes my detergent!) when the pause button was first pressed? Thank you.
The same button you start it with will also pause it and unlock the lid. I don't think it drains it when you do that. Though. I typically do it pretty early when I forget something.
I absolutely loved this review. When you look for a review, this what you want. very thorough. Looking into buying a Maytag or whirlpool. Correct me if I’m wrong but they are both from the same company?
Help. I have yet to figure out what I’m doing wrong and right. Most of my loads go through and then stall in sensing mode with the clothes sitting in water. I have run a load that spun and removed water line normal. What I’m I missing?
How do you enable the load and go? While changing the amount of detergent dispensed, I accidentally disabled it. I was on hold for 45 min with Whirlpool. I've seen this question on other help sites...unanswered. The only options with the load and go are 1) Disable 2) disable for one cycle 3) dispenser 100%.
Thank you for this video! I managed to snag, hopefully a deal, on this washer at Lowes. It is a return item, they had to replace the belt on it. But I've been watching washer prices for months now, and the very basic models running about 450. I just can't afford that. Still hated spending the money, but was only 339. But I couldn't pass it up. I've actually had really good luck with other items I've bought from the box stores that were returns, hopefully this will be the same with this one. I just looked at the manual online, and OMG....rather intimidating coming from a basic machine. All the stuff these new washers have. Wifi lol?? I won't use 75% of it. Not too thrilled about the electronic display, though it is nice, but I am not a fan of all this stuff now being electrical or computerized. While a lot of it is convenient or helpful, it's expensive to fix when it breaks.
I'm having the same problem. And this thing vibrates like crazy. I'm going to try loading my clothes differently because I think that was the mistake I made. I loaded them against the drum of the washer, when the manual states to drop your clothes in against the agitator. If that doesn't work I will be sending this back to the store. Too expensive for it to not work properly. And I had to MANUALLY pour the detergent into the washer because the dispenser didn't work!!! Not pleased so far
No one can convince me an HE top loader washer with an impeller cleans better than an old school early 2000's top loader with an agitator, these machines do not clean well when you compare them to the old school washers, and any independent repair man will say the same, these washers are junk, pretty looking, but they do not clean as well as they should.
Me and my wife find this washer machine so difficult to work, first three weeks couldn't make it work and still. Right now I'm looking at it rinsing, it's spinning while adding water means the clothes are stuck to wall of the drum so the water goes directly to the sewer amongst other things and yeah it needs constant attention during washing time, I would not recommend it
bought a "high efficiency" washer. you can add a bucket of water manually after putting in dry clothes while the washer is weighing them to trick it into using more water.
Unless your washer is severely overloaded, all the clothes get wet. The dry spots are from the extremely fast final spin...It can partially dry some spots.
That was an excellent review tbh. I just bought one and it’s coming tomorrow and I’m glad to be able to have seen this. I feel a whole lot better lol. I heard the creak at the end as well so then there’s thatv
We purchased the dryer only and so far it's good. Only had it for a month. Our washer should be coming in tomorrow so hopefully it's just as good as the dryer.
Hi, thanks for the video; mine are being delivered tomorrow; I use powdered detergent and will put it directly in the drum… can you hit the water button to add a bit first to dissolve it before adding the clothes? The digital panel intimidates me incredibly! How do you select water temperature??
I just got these yesterday. The washer is extremely loud. I couldn’t believe Whirlpool made it. The buttons slow down your start time. Some you have to hold for 3 seconds and others you have to navigate through the menu. Very cumbersome just to wash a load of clothes. Also, the sensor on the dryer is never accurate. My clothes are always wet. Not just damp but really wet. I have to add drying time and that’s another button I have to hold as the time increases in 5 minute increments. Such a hassle. On the bright side, our clothes are clean!
Thanks so much for this review. We just got our washer and dryer delivered today. The model we bought was the dark charcoal grey 5.3 drum with the removable agitator. Your video was very helpful. Just put my first load to wash now, so barely going to use the dryer as well. At first I was very intimidated by the panel but after watching your video it seems pretty easy. I hope this set will last me longer than my previous set which was a Samsung. Well my dryer still worked but I was going on 5 years with them and my washer gave out. So of course I just decided to buy a set to match. I hope I’ll have better luck with the Whirlpool. I’m excited to try the remote whirlpool app as well which I would probably only use if I had to leave the house. I guess it’s a nice option to have tho.
I have to buy my first set of washer and it’s a discouraging nightmare. All brands and types seems to have horrendous reviews. Predominantly that there is not enough water and clothes have to be washed or rinsed a second time or you need to manually add more water. Then the problem with rusting or staining of the drum? GE seems to suffer from being extremely loud. This is insane. WTf does this happen? What happened to quality? Does it not exist any longer?
It's not just washing machines, it's everything. They make stuff cheaper(out of the country), they use cheaper materials like plastic when it should be metal, they use electronics/computer stuff so when that breaks it's expensive to fix, quality control is out the window. Most times when you need a repair on something, it ends up being cheaper to just buy a new one. Hence, our "throw away" culture in society. I have 2 vehicles, one's a 2000 the other a 2007. They're starting to nickel and dime me, but I am just hanging on to them as long as I can. Can't buy anything new for now, and I don't want to. I can at least do some of the repairs myself, but if they were newer cars? No way could I. Even my mechanic is looking to retire soon; he's not liking these new cars, too hard to work on and too expensive for parts.
Yeah, top load washers are such a poor design that uses such excessive amounts of water that it's necessary to spot-treat things before they go into the 70 gallons of diluted laundry soup.
Hi- my washing machine does not let the fabric softener in the triangle on the left hand side flow down onto the clothes during the wash- can you help me fix this- thank you
Hi there, not sure if someone else inquired in the comments but I just purchased this set and I’m confused as far as the detergent. I called whirlpool twice but they didn’t seem to know. The suggest I RUclips it lol. Maybe I am overthinking it, The Load and Go feature, the cartridge top says HE liquid only detergent. So does this mean I can’t use any powder detergent? And if so where would I put it? Or is it strictly liquid only? As well scent booster beads?
If you want to do powder do you have to do it directly into the bowl Not into the dispenser. That's for liquid only. I just put the cents beads directly into the wash with the clothes.
@@TheBreakdownWithLuke Thank you soo much for your quick response. I would have hated to think it’s 2021 and they stopped making washers that could take powder detergent eventhough it would dissolve . I just wanted to make sure I didn’t mess the washer somehow. Lol
If you have this washer, and it randomly stops draining and you get an F9E1 or F8E6 code and says to check if drain is clogged, more than likely that the wires on the drain motor were yanked right out. Lift the unit back and youll see it towards the back on the right. This happened to mine after 6 months with this thing….
Can we get an update on these? Home Depot reviews were all over the place. Mostly about rust, and hinges, and glass breaking. Anyone have reviews after having the machine for a few years?
We just bought a similar unit (bigger size with a removable agitator). I ran the first load and I'm so confused. I did use the 'Regular' cycle, and the clothes were soaking wet, and water droplets were all in the tub and the top of the lid??? Not sure why it's so complicated. Any tips on what we should be doing?
How depressing. My Kenmore 90 series lasted 20 years. Ironically, they both took a dump within weeks of each other. lol Time to upgrade, if there is such a thing.
Please help my how on earth do I use this thing cause I put on color and heavy duty but when I start it not even 5 seconds and it say washer complete the thing didn't even spin
@@TheBreakdownWithLuke okay but I want to fully know and see how to really make it work. Explain it to me cause I'm dumb. I want to make it work cause I have nothing else. Sorry I just have to see it
Purchased yesterday 12/19 no wifi and with agitator. Very nice cosmetic pleasing unit. My only problem is when spinning it sounds like a train. Is anyone having this issue?? Help What is the solution? Thank you for the excellent video you made.
To use the load and go just select which mode you want (darks, whites, etc) and than select the load and go button until it says on. Thats all you need to do other than to make sure you have cleaner in the dispenser.
Thank you for this review. We just bought the washer. It will be delivered next week. It was $729 on sale. Not sure if that was a good price or not. The salesperson did not go over any specs with us and didn't seem to know much about it. I had to ask them to make a copy of the specs that was inside the washer front & back. Also, there is an option to buy with/without the agitator which you didn't mention. We wanted the agitator (no extra charge). Where is the hot water option? I'll ask the installer when they deliver. Sometimes I use Tide pods when I don't feel like lifting my 10 lb. bottle of Era. I hope the pods fit?
I just bought this washer and dryer set, only thing different is my washer has the removable agitater, I don’t really notice soap being dispenced, I don’t have it disabled, should you see a lot of suds when you look in, I have it set for 4x, don’t know if you can help, but anything will do. Thanks in advance. Other than that I absolutely love the set,the dryer is awesome.
Not sure how much truth this holds but I recently learned the you only need about a table spoon of detergent for each load, any more and stains end up worse than that with a table spoon. I’d say if your clothes are coking out clean it should be okay. If they’re not then get a tech to check it out .
That was all the way back in 2012. They've long since fixed that issue (which is not to say I recommend Samsung toploaders after their dish repair treatment response to the problem). I have an LG toploader and can tell you it gets laundry a lot more clean than these modern Whirlpools ever will.
I had water coming out from the bottom . My old washer had the drain pipe on the upper part of the washer & U never had issues. This washer has the draining pipe at the very bottom of the left corner which makes it harder to drain. What should I do ?
Hello, thanks for the information! A few days ago my washing machine arrived, I don't understand much about the soap compartment, so I have to fill it all up and after 7 washes the machine asks me to add more. is that true? It's that I put little on it and I see that it's always there, I thought it wasn't working and that it didn't grab the soap. Could you also explain to me how Load & Go works, there I don't understand how I should leave that option for the soap to work, I hope you have understood me... Thank you very much.
Most technicians I have talked to and have watched doing repairs do not recommend liquid fabric softener. The softener builds up on mechanical parts and attracts dirt build up causing damage to bearings and promotes corrosion.
I purchased the same washer which was delivered last Friday, Jan. 22, 2021. My question is this, is the washer supposed to make a lot of noise when filling and washing? Mine is a lot louder than my old washer.
Hello! Do you only use liquid detergent because I'm finding that when I use pods or powder detergent it l aves residue on my clothes. It want allow me to load the detergent before the cycle without putting the clothes in first. Any advice is welcomed
do you get a message on the dryer screen “check vent”? seems the reviews i have watched the general complain was “check vent” even though it is clean as one of the users said.
I am so confused on the washer. Yours does not have an agitator but the one listed on Lowe's website shows it has an agitator. Is it removeable? I was also told by an appliance repair man that the impellor's are not as good as the agitator.
I have this same set. I like it, but it quit in the middle of the rinse cycle last night. What would you suggest to unlock the lid, drain it, and get the clothes out? It sparked in the outlet, and the panel lights will not come on. The outlets are fine, but it kicks the switch when I plug the washer in.
Hello, I just got this model with the 2 in 1 agitator, I’m just having trouble with the washing time and speed, it will “wash” for 3 minutes, then discard the water, I don’t know if there’s something wrong with it or it’s just the way this washer works. Also I’d wish to know if you can put more than 1 comforter in it.
I just recently purchased this set, like literally 7 days ago. I guess I’m liking it so far. I agree with you that I don’t think the remote enabling is necessary. But, my question is, do you have to use the “load and go” to release the detergent? I see that it says that you can deactivate the “load and go”, but then can you dispense your detergent one load at a time? And if so, from where? I just worry about the detergent sitting in that load and go tray for too long and clumping up. Thanks for your review!
If you want to use the dispenser you need to use load and go otherwise you just need to manually put it in. Now if you're just using the packets you can drop them in you can disable it if you use liquid you want to use the load and go.
@@TheBreakdownWithLuke thank you. Just hooked this machine up about 2 hours ago, Lol. I don't like the idea of the load thing either, plus I use different detergents for different types of laundry.....

We just had this washer and dryer set delivered today. When I came home to test my first load I could not get over the loud cycle noice. Is this normal? I'm thinking of returning it.
We just bought this machine & when the water splashed into the top (in the middle of the load) it started coming out the front of the lid. Did that happen to you? The tech is coming back to check this out because he said that shouldn't happen but curious if this happened to anyone else.

@@patcola7335 Pat my aunt had one, plus you had to choose the cycles with the alphabets. I did many washes for her in that machine.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the audio. It sounded very clear to me. 👍
Thanks!
Although it is prone to having motherboard problems, as mine seems to have with the overload problem, it is a rather ingenious and simple design, developed by a New Zealand Company--this is from one webpage:
My first encounter with the Cabrio washing machine design was
at Whirlpool repair training in San Diego just before the Cabrio
washer was introduced. I was immediately impressed with the simplicity
of the Cabrio design and the ease diagnosis and repair. Now that a few
years have passed since this washer's introduction, it has become more
apparent that the control board of this washing machine is fairly common
to have problems. The Cabrio washer's main sub seal is also common to leak, leading to
rusted and loud spin bearings. The customer feed back concerning the
Cabrio washer's ability to clean clothes is mixed.
I had the cabrio too ,i didnt like it ,jus had to used it
for years 😄😃😅🤣 the machine saved lots of water for sure ,but my cloths dint smell nice like when you
can adjust the water so i always used the extra rinse 😃 also constantly the load piled it in 1 side so always used the low spin 😨now i just got the whirpool set with the agitator and water adjuster 😆😃 but i cant figure out why the washer doesn't release the detergent 😏😒🙄🤷♀️😆
My parents just bought the washer and it is way too confusing for them. Thank you for the explanation.
We are in out mid 50's and still overwhelmed by this.
@@hackbattle4283 Are you overwhelmed by too many features? Or the touch buttons? Do you like Knob better? Just curious
It says in the instructions that you should dilute your softener with water before pouring it in. I suggest you pour a gallon of hot water down there because there is probably still some in between your bin and drum.
I bought this washer and my fabric softener drains completely!!!
Mine does the same Did you found out how to fix this?
I don’t know if I’m going to be happy with this set
I noticed that Whirlpool has changed this model from an impeller to an agitator recently, which I love. I am glad that you are happy with your washer and dryer.
I will be purchasing this model with the agitator and the dryer to match in the near future.
Thank you so much for the review.
They also got 2 in 1 recently model that you can use as the agitator in or out depending on your usage.

@@idalivaldes7858 I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer set. Maytag Washer 7230 and the Dryer from Lowe's. I am completely satisfied.
God Bless
I returned my Maytag washer and dryer also in a week. Love my Whirlpool, would recommend for sure.
Thanks for your detailed introduction❤ waiting for more reviews about the headphones.
So the main benefit about those being connected to Wi-Fi is that you can get notifications for example when the cycle finishes or if there's an error.
Did you tell them not to tighten them too tight and they couldn’t understand what you were saying?
Why even mention they didn't speak English ?
Yes Maytag was purchased by Whirlpool back in 2006 if I remember correctly. Also thanks!
Thank you for the detailed review. Thinking of getting the washer.
You sound just fine!! No sound problem!
I just got the washer I love it but I needed to see this to help me. I subscribed thanks
Thanks!
So true. I was confused where to put soap. I laughed at myself.
Thanks for the thorough review! We just got ours put in and are loving them so far.
@itzNinAx3 review after having them for 3 years?
Does this washer lock the lid so you can't open it right away once it's washing and have to wait for it to unlock?
I just bought the same model , Mine has the Removable agitator. I get it delivered tomorrow saturday
Thanks for the video since it didn't explain these things in a manual! I'm still wondering what the water button next to the fabric softener is for.
when you put your Downey in that water access is there so you can pour in a cup of water-keeps that build up away in tray.
I just got mine April 27th and I hate the washing machine!! The agitator doesn’t touch all the clothing! 😩
It's not an agitator, its called an impeller. You have to put the clothes in a circle nearly around the impeller.
No one can convince me an HE top loader washer with an impeller cleans better than an old school early 2000's top loader with an agitator, these machines do not clean well when you compare them to the old school washers, and any independent repair man will say the same, these washers are junk, pretty looking, but they do not clean as well as they should.
Then most of the time you have to babysit the machine/computer. Unplug it plug it back in, and restart it because the sensors are off!!
I just purchased this exact washer with an agitator.
And I have the Removable agitator 6.1 I hope I made a good choice! Enjoy everyone! Lots of money these machines! 🎉
Me and my wife find this washer machine so difficult to work, first three weeks couldn't make it work and still. Right now I'm looking at it rinsing, it's spinning while adding water means the clothes are stuck to wall of the drum so the water goes directly to the sewer amongst other things and yeah it needs constant attention during washing time, I would not recommend it
Bring the old whirlpool washers back with a timer on it so you have control. These machines are all junk.
The water level is so low that some of my clothes looked dry still. What did I do wrong?
bought a "high efficiency" washer. you can add a bucket of water manually after putting in dry clothes while the washer is weighing them to trick it into using more water.
Put it on deep fill
Unless your washer is severely overloaded, all the clothes get wet. The dry spots are from the extremely fast final spin...It can partially dry some spots.
That was an excellent review tbh. I just bought one and it’s coming tomorrow and I’m glad to be able to have seen this. I feel a whole lot better lol. I heard the creak at the end as well so then there’s thatv
Do you like them??? We need to get a new washer and dryer
We are considering purchasing the dryer only. Thank you for the detail review!
I have the set and I love them!!
8-27-2022 Just bought a " WTW5105HW2"; it has an agitator and the softener fill is in the same tray as soap.
Loud? This is the quietest washer we’ve ever owned!
Curious about what type of clothes you were washing. Be careful about the overload and Bulky Items :)
Is it normal for the washer agitator to make a loud noise?
I have to buy my first set of washer and it’s a discouraging nightmare. All brands and types seems to have horrendous reviews. Predominantly that there is not enough water and clothes have to be washed or rinsed a second time or you need to manually add more water. Then the problem with rusting or staining of the drum? GE seems to suffer from being extremely loud. This is insane. WTf does this happen? What happened to quality? Does it not exist any longer?
I do not have an issue with water level in this washer. You can manually set the water level also.
@@TheBreakdownWithLuke thank you
It's not just washing machines, it's everything.
@@TheBreakdownWithLuke Do you mean you get to stop the water when it's as full as you want or do you select small medium or large water level?
Buy a Speed Queen TC5, old school style washer.
According to whirlpools video on “ pre treat station “ they don’t use spot remover like “spray and wash “ they just use the same HE detergent
Yeah, top load washers are such a poor design that uses such excessive amounts of water that it's necessary to spot-treat things before they go into the 70 gallons of diluted laundry soup.
Hi- my washing machine does not let the fabric softener in the triangle on the left hand side flow down onto the clothes during the wash- can you help me fix this- thank you
Their new top loaders seem better built than their new front loaders.
How much softener can you put in to fill it up, or do you put 1 cup of softener as you wash a load
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but my clothes don't seem to come out super clean like they don't even smell good.
Thank you for your very detailed videos. I just bought one. The dryer drum doesn’t turn. Am I doing something wrong or is a brand new one broke?
I would contact the place you purchased it from for help.
Lol
You can use powder directly in drum, same for scent beads.

I did use the 'Regular' cycle, and the clothes were soaking wet, and water droplets were all in the tub and the top of the lid??? Not sure why it's so complicated.

Thanks in advance. Other than that I absolutely love the set,the dryer is awesome.
Not sure how much truth this holds but I recently learned the you only need about a table spoon of detergent for each load, any more and stains end up worse than that with a table spoon. I’d say if your clothes are coking out clean it should be okay. If they’re not then get a tech to check it out .
Great review! Very well executed! Thank you!
Thank you for the reviews. I am considering getting one of these as I don't like the Samsung nor the LGs because of the exploding safety issues.
That was all the way back in 2012. They've long since fixed that issue (which is not to say I recommend Samsung toploaders after their dish repair treatment response to the problem). I have an LG toploader and can tell you it gets laundry a lot more clean than these modern Whirlpools ever will.

I am so confused on the washer. Yours does not have an agitator but the one listed on Lowe's website shows it has an agitator. Is it removeable? I was also told by an appliance repair man that the impellor's are not as good as the agitator.
This model has two options, one with an agitator one without. Pick whichever one you want.
I just bought one. It has a removable agitator and can be used either way.
I have this same set. I like it, but it quit in the middle of the rinse cycle last night. What would you suggest to unlock the lid, drain it, and get the clothes out?

@@TheBreakdownWithLuke So would I just pour the liquid straight into the drum? And, thank you for your response! 😁
Yup that is the options.
@@TheBreakdownWithLuke thank you. Just hooked this machine up about 2 hours ago, Lol. I don't like the idea of the load thing either, plus I use different detergents for different types of laundry.....
How do you keep your washer drum clean? I cannot seem to get rid of the soap scum build up when using the clean cycle.
It has a built in self clean mode and even will remind you every 10 washes or so to run it. I just put bleech in it when I run it.
Is there a filter on the washer
Mine is out of balance all the time. You allbhave issues with this? The drum is so loose and moves around easily so I'm wondering if it's missing springs
Can you just pour your detergent into the tub instead of the load and go drawer? Do I have to use that slide out detergent drawer?
Yes you can turn off load and go.
We just had this washer and dryer set delivered today. When I came home to test my first load I could not get over the loud cycle noice. Is this normal? I'm thinking of returning it.
Yes it’s extremely loud! Also I got the one with the agitator and noticed the agitator does not touch the clothing at all. We are returning ours today
What if I need to use a different detergent (like baby detergent) is their an option to not use the automatic soap dispenser?
Pour into the drum
if you dont do the load and go cycle will it still take soap from the dispencer?
i have same type of washer brand new , when I start the mechine jump for a second , then moves slow run ,why jumping ,can you explain please
I don't have a jump in mine not 100% sure what you mean. I would talk to who you bought it from.
homedepot ,3 months ago ,i have warranty ,if something minor I dont want to call any one ,thanks for responding sir
Mine also has that jerk and loud agitating noise. Should I return? Have owned it for 9 hrs.
We just bought this machine & when the water splashed into the top (in the middle of the load) it started coming out the front of the lid. Did that happen to you? The tech is coming back to check this out because he said that shouldn't happen but curious if this happened to anyone else.
I have never seen that happen.
Do I have to refill the load and go after every wash?
No only when it gets low.
My load /go is enabled but not working. Any suggestions? I’ve unplugged it and plugged it back up and it still does not work.
