Great video Richard, how have the machines been working for you? I have the original set of these with the first LCD display from five years ago. Looking to buy a set of these. Just wanted to see how you like them any issues.
I'd like to see the default normal/regular cycle on both washer and the dryer. I'd like to see the normal cycle on the dryer without energy saver enabled.
Thank you for the review! I am looking forward to buying the washer/dryer set. How much did the pedestals set you back? I have pedestals for my Whirlpool washer/dryer set that I bought more than 4 years ago and they were around $299 each. from Best Buy.
To be honest, the quality of the washer and dryer isn't that great. GE's appliances have much better build quality. That being said, the interface is better but, it sometimes trips people up with the built in touch pauses. I think that may be a safety feature to keep kids from playing with them? $300 is pretty typical for pedestal prices. They often go on sale though. And be sure to buy online and use Rak ten (Ebates) or RetailMeNot to get cash back. If you use my referral code, you get a bonus $30. www.rakuten.com/r/GARRIS163?eeid=44753
I'm sorry but I can't help you with that because I don't use the automatic dispenser. Scribd online usually has user manuals for most appliances. I suggest you look there to see if you can find instructions.
You're supposed to use a product called affresh washing machine cleaner periodically to clean the inside to prevent odors. If you want to save some money, you can purchase a spray bottle and mix tap water with a couple teaspoons of bleach inside it. Then spray the interior with that mix until the whole surface is damp and let it air dry. This will eliminate odors from mold/mildew. A bottle should last a very long time, but I recommend replacing the mix at least once a month. I usually wipe down the rubber parts with dry or damp bath towels/dish rags. If it's really dirty, I would recommend putting some water diluted laundry detergent on the damp cloth. I wouldn't recommend dish soap as the suds will be difficult to remove. I also wouldn't recommend vinegar or glass cleaner or any other cleaners as they will likely wear down the rubber parts. Glass cleaner is fine on the door iterior and exterior though.
Have you had any issues with your washer and dryer? I've had mine for a day and first load took 4 hours and drying is also taking forever. Not sure whats going on
Front load washing machines take a couple hours to wash, but the drying should be faster than a standard dryer. However the more soap you use, the longer it takes to wash. Be sure to only use HE rated soap, like tide pods. There are lots of affordable high efficiency soaps brands. If you use liquid or powder and not pods, be sure to measure the soap accurately.
When you purchase a washer, you need to purchase water lines separately. If you purchase installation services, many companies won't install your washer unless you purchase new water lines (so no reusing old ones). When you purchase an electric dryer in the united states, you must purchase a special 220 volt cable separately to connect to the power outlet. There are different types of cables (4 prong - newer wiring or 3 prong - old wiring). The pedestals can be purchased from an most retailers like Best Buy, Lowes (that's where I got mine), Whirlpool.com and many other authorized retailers.
My washer and dryer still work fine. They are kind of loud though and it's pretty easy for the washer to get off balance and really shake a bit which was very rare for my old GE pair. Still this is the smartest washer and dryer set I have found. I don't know why other manufacturers aren't including touch screens and completely eliminating buttons. Washers and dryers have dozens of buttons/options and have the worst interface of any appliance. It's ridiculous.
Nice quick review and overview. Thanks!
I love your Vizsla! We were working on our dryer this weekend and our Vizsla was in there the entire time with us watching us work.
The dog is very clean. Excellent machine washes))

Very nice I’m looking at there’s models. How are they working today? Have you had any issues?
very good review! i hope that they have been working well for you, if you still continue to use them.
I moved and now I have a new Samsung washer and dryer. I'll post a video soon and talk about the differences.
Is it energy efficient?

Are happy with them ?
Just curious
Thanks so much
Yes. I wish they were quieter but overall they are great.
Awesome 😎!!!!!
Still don't see what to press to start the dryer
Does the washer have a delicate cycle? I use the delicate cycle a lot and it’s a must for me.
Yes it does. I recently moved and I have a new Samsung washer and dryer. I'll post a video of that as well so you can see some differences.

GE suckkkkkkkkkks biggggggg time
Please can you teach me how to wash?
Please tell me how to use dispenser 1 and 2 .Because I have the same one but I don’t know how to use dispenser.
I'm sorry but I can't help you with that because I don't use the automatic dispenser. Scribd online usually has user manuals for most appliances. I suggest you look there to see if you can find instructions.
If you put washer on left and dryer on the right, the doors (when open) aren’t in the way when you put clothes from washer to dryer.
They are fixed now. They were reversed when I got them because the installers brought water lines that were too short.
Do you still like these? Have you had any issues?
They work fine. The build quality isn't as nice as the higher end GE appliances and they are noiser too. But the interface is much more intuitive.
Anyone have issues with the display?
Does the start button work? Mine has stopped working not sure how to start it.
The start button has to be held for several seconds to start. It's annoying but I think it's a safety feature to keep children from turning it on.
I can't find the start button?
How do you clean the ruber part of your washer and dryer

Can you use pods
Yes, you can use Tide Pods or other detergent pods.
Richard Garrison thanks for the response I appreciate it
You should be able to make your washer door open left to right so it’s not awkward going around the door to the dryer.
I just need to buy longer water lines so I can reverse the washer and dryer. I'm having new flooring installed soon so that's when I'll fix them.
Richard Garrison Perfect! You’ll really enjoy that! I’m about to buy one of these. Looks pretty awesome.
@@RichardGarrison your dog is a visla.
Do you have a video of the old GE profile front loader
Unfortunately I do not. I gave that set to my older brother, however, so when I visit him I'll try to remember to grab photos or a video.
@@RichardGarrison OK the only reason I was asking was because that’s it was kind of nostalgic to me
Have you had any issues with your washer and dryer? I've had mine for a day and first load took 4 hours and drying is also taking forever. Not sure whats going on
Would you recommend it?

Can you stack these?
Yes you can stack them
What different hoses and cords did you have to buy separately?
Where did you find the pedestals on sale?

Man can I have your old washer?
I donated it to my brother and his family. 😁
