- FINALLY I might have a Seiko that actually will stay in my collection! A possible keeper as we like to call them! Until we sell them...
This Speedtimer checks two of my boxes of watches I´d like to have in my collection: A Chronograph and a white dial watch!
But the company I bought it from sent me the wrong watch, which actually worked out just fine since I got to shoot this comparison, got a sweet discount and now we can all enjoy it.
This is a comparison of the two Speedtimers, full specs video and unboxing all wrapped up in one video!
So maybe the 25 minutes length is ok this time? :)

24 hours hand is not useless. It makes setting DATE much easier and lots of people didn't know and understand it.
Like you said, everyone has their own opinion but I like the 813 more. White vs silver dial, and 20mm lugs vs 21mm.
I can’t get past the smaller center sub dial.

The 911 is killer. Absolutely love mine. Looks more expensive than it is and that hit of red and lumen is on point...

5:30 I generally do not care about chronographs at all (main interests is divers), but that is beautiful. Definately the best colorway. Today, I got my Seikomariner Hulk solar ISO diver 💪
Yes it is 😊 And I’m with you, I’m not that into chronos as well. In my personal opinion it’s mostly a useless complication. But there’s something special about this one. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏

I have the older one with the yellow textured dial face. I was on the fence, because I just bought a prospex diver with the black waffle dial face. I ALWAYS wanted a Samurai. After watching…. You made me spend another 500 bucks. 🤓😝🤓 I ADORE my older one. Even the cons that people point out don’t bother me in the slightest. The MOST comfortable watch I own. I even love the bracelet. LOVE this line. The Seiko Steven McQueen line…

Imo the 39 looks better but the 41 has complete lume. So yeah ill go with the 39 cuz i dont need lume on a chrono watch.
I purchased the SSC911 a couple of months ago and am very happy with. It's my first "real" watch and I hope to collect a few others. Currently looking at the Seiko SPB381. Thank for the video!

I like the 41mm speed timer better because the sub dials are the same diameter .
Is the watch having a quartz movement really a negative here? A mechanical movement would make the watch thicker and double the price while also making it far less accurate, more fragile, and require expensive maintenance every few years. I love mechanical watches, but everything that makes this watch great (dial design aside) is made possible by the solar quartz movement inside.
im after the 911, been checking around to buy it and i already found the 813 and seemed very small.... want to check it just to buy it, but its a beauty
Love the one with the red hands too. Glad Seiko is using sapphire now. Another thing, why do black and white watches look so good on you?
They seem to use sapphire on the more expensive models. Everything below $500 is still hardlex though 😞

The whole reason I would pick the 911 over the old one is the bezel shape.

It's always bothered me that the most important subdial, the chrono minutes one, is the smallest on the 813! The smallest subdial should've been the useless 24 hour subdial.
I prefer the design of the new one but the proportions are huge. Is to big.
Anyone think they'll do this new in a 39mm? i'd like to go with this version personally, but not at 41

For the price point, this watch must like the company itself speaks for itself. The Japanese do everything with dignity and class.
Orient Mako. Similar design, 1/3 the price
There are many cheaper watches out there yes. So if someone is collecting only based on price, this is not the best option :) Thanks for watching.
Seiko do have cheaper variation for this
FYI, they were being nice. The Mako is nothing like this watch. I am an owner of the SSC911 (chronograph) and the Orient Kamasu (Diver). The Mako is a diver style watch. Not all watches are the same and people buy watches they like. Only shallow people like you care about 1/3 the price for a style of a watch. I hope you grow up. gg
@@cjoy36 i thought they meant not a typical orient diver, but rather a mako 3 chrono panda which is a mix of a diver AND chronograph both
