I was sent here by the channel "Once in a six side" to reference your excellent amerilabs test overview, and he was right. This should be mandatory video every beginner watches to learn how to get the most out of the amerilabs test.
Thanks for making this.
Thank you, it is the first time in 6 years of prints that I understand the deal here , grate!
Well-liked, I thank you for your time producing content like this for the 3-D printing community--"sharing is caring," as some say!
This makes so much more sense than other advice I've seen. Thank you so much!
the pin rows info was very useful for me. I thought every row should be there. Thanks!
Thanks for this video! Great visual explanation :)
wow, all this time... I thought getting all 5 rows was the key! Thank you for this guide!
I am so glad I found this, I am looking at getting a resin in a few months and I was hoping something like this test and a video explaining it.
Thank you for this video! I had no idea that the 5th row of those pillars was indicative of overexposure. I’ll admit I’ve tried to tune my resin to where I’d get it, but realized it was actually making things worse so just kind of accepted I wasn’t getting all of them.
Thanks for this. Great info and joined the discord with a query on my own town. Got an answer right away and now know how to move forwards ❤️
Thank you, I'm using monoscreens so this gave me a clear idea of what to look for! Much appreciated!
Beautfully explained, currantly dialing in my newly arrived Photon Mono X 6Ks, and by the first test it looks like im running fractionally underexposed, thanks for clearing this up, want to get this beauty dialed to a crisp point, especially given im coming straight up from an OG Elegoo Mars lol, bit of a jump!
Keep up the amazing work!
Where is this supported version? All I can find is the model without the supports not like the one shown.
Thank You. I just learnt a lot about evaluating the prints
I run the Photonster and Phrozen's matrix to finesse layer times initially, as well as just "looking" at the prints on the Phrozen matrix for overall aesthetics, followed by cones of calibration to finesse lift speeds and really dial in cure times after the validation sets. then I'll finish with Ameralabs and/or Hidden City calibration cube. If I'm doing practical prints with size accuracy requirements then I like to check shrinkage using the Shrinkage and Exposure piece, or Calibration Measurement, really handy prints if you are printing models in resin that use multiple parts with keyed, flat interfaces like you get from DM stash for example.
Thank youuu, I have been struggling with the fine tuning of settings for the elegoo plant-based resin grey in color for my mars 2p. ofc the original print with rooks worked out beautifully but I am amazed a calibration print isn't the first print a machine would have you do. I am new to 3d printing and a solid problem solver soo learning how to figure out the settings in this method is ideal but also . . . . fundamental to this hobby/work to be fun and sustainable for someone who really doesn't wana simply do filament. excited to get to the point of being able to make my own files with confidence in printability. Also, the calibration tool is cute and not the worst lil table decoration xD haha can't wait for the accumulation of many as I try different resins over time. gg wp
This is a great video. Thank you for sharing!
Great explanation! Thanks!!!!
This was Awesome! I did a few tests but of course did not interpret everything correctly. Back to the drawing board because I need way too long exposures on my Sonic Mini 4k.
I just got my anycubic photon mono x, I’ve ran several test prints using the version of this that sits on the build plate, and I’ve destroyed the base of it every time getting it off the plate. Otherwise the model itself come out great. I wish I would have found this version first. 😊
Cảm ơn bạn đã cho tôi một kiến thức thật sự cần thiết.
Can't seem to find that model
I downloaded the Amerilabs updated town but it doesn't have supports. Is this an oversight or am I supposed to add supports on my own? Thanks in advance for the help.
Need I clean vat after such tests?
Is there a print out I can read and look at, instead of listening to a video? Thanks.
No supported version to be found an no discord?
With so many different areas to test if you can't get them all correct which one should you aim for?
What do I do if some parts print indicate overexposure and some indicate under exposure? The last 2 slots right above the checkerboard didnt print(the horizontal not the verticals) indicating overexposure, but the nubs on the top skyscraper printed only halfway (indicating underexposure) and the loop bit printed but I broke it indicating under exposure. The checkers, vertical slots, space needle, and angled skinny hairs all printed perfect.
calibration model with support! what the hell!
on the amerlabs website you get the file without the raised pillars - where do I get the same file you use?
At around 11:12 it's a bit confusing because you are saying rows, but the way the model is facing us in the video they appear as columns. I guess if you look at from the front view then they are then rows but you should mention this and try to clear any confusion. The little details are important and less ambiguity is better.
Hi Atlas, How do you find the raised supported version of this model? only the flat version is available on their site as far as I can see. Thank you.
we had to make that ourselves, and were requested that we only link to the OG one. Sorry about that.
What was your settings
Joined the discord buy couldn't find the file :c
Download?
All these calibration test are unsupported, correct?
indeed good sir
Are you portuguese? Your accent makes me want to buy you a Coffee and a Pastel de Belém..
how do i gain access to ths discord?

I find the star ship to be better.
Starship is great, we helped Craig with the validation of that test. We like it too.
Sorry bro but i had to hit you with the 1.5 x speed
The "best calibration tool" comes with errors and bad geometry that makes the printing uncertain. I had to edit and fix lots of problems.
All I wanted to do is download the town so I can test the printer I don’t want to go in circles and circles enough is enough this is a shame
