      What psychological diagnosis causes a nurse to become a serial killer like this? It shocks me that there can be more than one of these types of situations! But this is about the third case similar to this that I've heard of I think. Wasn't there a male nurse who killed lots of people too before he was caught?

    • @bunnyluver2176

      @@boop7313There are many "angels of death." Healthcare workers--doctors and nurses--who kill their patients. Harold Shipman, a doctor from Britain, is one of the most prolific serial killers ever, with 300-400 deaths thought to be caused by him (he was not convicted of all of them). There have been male and female nurses with many deaths by their hands. Many believe they have a "God complex," meaning they like the feeling of power the achieve from being able to take lives. Some nurses have said they kill "difficult" patients. Others like being the "hero" who comes in a revives a patients they caused harm to but sometimes the patients don't survive the attacks. Some are thought to like the excitement the murders bring.

      More common than you think. Most in similar cases will NEVER be caught. Crimes like these happen in senior citizens homes EVERY DAY! Most people cannot believe that someone could or would harm a senior. A few decades ago a woman in a rest home in a coma was found to be pregnant. About 20 years ago a severely handicapped woman gave birth in her rest home but now there was DNA. The man who raped her was the immigrant employee ( along with his wife cleaning in the next room). She had gotten pregnant but how many other severely handicapped and disabled women did he rape but weren't impregnated? The doctor who came in to give her blood tests and care for her never even bothered to notice or document why she wasn't menstruating. Incompetence is standard procedure.

    • @bunnyluver2176
      @bunnyluver2176 Год назад +7

      That's the question. Surely hospitals know more than they let on but they're scared of lawsuits so they usually force resignations and the culprit can go on to another hospital. Just like bad cops. Both professions are so important to society that databases should be set up so they can't skip from one agency to another.

    • @sabrina.natalie

      I’m really glad they found another case to charge her with too! Initially, they found 5 new murders she was responsible for between the years of 1970 - 1982, when she was working. Unfortunately, please Genene took a plea, and the 4 murder charges were dropped - which sucks, because those families deserve justice and their pain deserves to be acknowledged too. Unfortunately, Genene will be eligible for parole once again in the year 2037 when she’s 87 years old. (And they will most likely grant it to her, in my opinion.)

    You know, America does have a culture where the humanity of preborn babies is ignored, even denied. It’s shouldn’t be any surprise then, that after birth, some people will still see them as of little value, realising that it’s the same little person out of the womb, as was in the womb.

    Not without precedent at all . During the Victorian era in the UK there was a practice called baby farming where unwanted babies or kids were adopted by a baby farmer and sold to anyone who could afford them . Some of these baby farmers were not so honest and would pocket the money and murder the kids . The most infamous was Amelia Dyer who was said to have murdered between 200 and 400 in her care . Only 6 were ever proven and she was executed by hanging . The most recent was Beverley Allitt convicted of 4 murders , 8 attempted murders and numerous sexual assaults she was sent down for a whole life term in other words she's never getting out and this was back in the 1990's . The death penalty in the UK was cancelled in the 1960's .
