I'm a waterproof fan!!!!! My favorite is Maybelline Volum"Express the Colossall cat eye. I may try others but I always go back to cat eye. Love it!!!!
Great video ! I just subscribed to your channel. I am 61 years young with short, sparse lashed AND oily hooded eyes to make it worse. I recently started using waterproof mascara because they hold the curl better. I use PONDS cold cream makeup remover (with green lid) and follow with Neutrogena blue bottle remover.
Thanks, I’m always on the look out for smudge proof mascara. L’Oreal Bambi Eyes is also a great mascara. I would love a version about eyeliner. I have the hardest time finding a good eyeliner that doesn’t smudge.
I don’t use much eyeliner so I’m not sure if I would make a great video for that but I am starting to experiment a bit.
Hi Bobbie. I was ready for a new mascara & after watching this video I chose to try the Essence Lash Princess. Just remember a lot of mascara says waterproof be sure to check the list of ingredients if WATER is listed it is NOT waterproof.
I came across this video while looking for the next waterproof mascara to buy and I see that a lot girls here worry about taking waterproof mascaras off. I've been using plain old almond oil to remove my eye make up for years. It works great and takes off every mascara. Trust me.
Thanks for that, I'm always on a lookout for a good waterproof mascara myself. They just hold a curl better in a humid climate and smudge less. I like the lash princess one. The one i couldn't recommend enough is Maybelline lash discovery. I love it!
I was wondering about how easy these are to remove? One of the reasons I avoid waterproof mascara is because of how hard they can be to remove.
I have to use waterproof, and I hate removing it. The best trick I have found is to let the makeup remover sit a little before using any water, and then I gently swipe most off with my clean fingers and I use Almay makeup lotion. Then I just use a washcloth and gently swipe to remove the rest. If I still have some , I use a qtip to get the rest. I always use a lash conditioner after I am done. That is just my way of doing it ,and not losing lashes in the process.
Just use an oil cleanser or an eye makeup remover for waterproof mascara.
My favorite eye make up remover is Clinique take the day off. It works amazing! If you want a cheaper way of taking it off you can use elf make up remover balm or Clean It zero melting balm. all of those use an oil to get the make up off and it works great.

@@orosco97 Hi..I use Select Lash Eyelash Serum...it goes on like mascara .it is clear .it has no fragrance and it never feels sticky or crunchy ..I feel it conditions lashes. I think Sally Beauty Supply store may sell it ?? I usually get it from eBay. Even if I don't wear mascara that day..I still use it before I go to sleep. I have really sensitive eyes and this has never burned or done anything to make my eyes hurt.
Bobbie that Colossal one looked really pretty on you. Probably cause it gave both length and volume. Which is what I like. I'm willing to try Essence again. Maybe waterproof will work for me better than the others I've tried from that brand. I recently saw a video on the Milani mascara I heard is good. Can't remember if it was waterproof. I’m terrified of waterproof mascaras… I don’t know how to remove them without tugging on my skin, using a ton of makeup remover that ends up stinging, and losing eyelashes. I’ve been experimenting with tubing mascaras… no smudging, mostly no flaking and {should} remove easily with warm water and no tugging. Downside, most cause my curl to droop unless I have a lash lift. Would love to see how you remove these. Happy 4th!
I remove my mascara using clean it zero. I get it at Ulta. I also love Clinique take the day off melting balm. It works amazing on waterproof mascara‘s.
Remember, WATERproof products aren't going to be removed with water-based makeup remover. You want to opt for oil based removers, and once your makeup is all off you can then use your regular face wash. ❤
I have the same thing with my eyelashes, I always have to curl them first and I use the blow dryer trick to warm up my curler. I have to use waterproof or they just fall..I have used the Maybelline Rocket lash , I saw another RUclips video that said the curl bounce was good, so I plan on trying it. Love your videos. 😊
I’ve never tried Maybelline‘s rocket mascara. I may have to try that.
Great video! I always have the problem with mascara even the waterproof ones smudging under my eyes...L'Oréal Voluminous is the only one this never happens with! I love it! I use Purity by Philosophy to remove it and all my makeup.
Try putting your eye primer under your eye and then lightly powder to set.

Hey Lena, what do you use to remove your mascara? Have you tried elf melting bomb or Clinique take the day off?
@@MindfulMidlifeI use the pf cleansing balm or the dhc cleansing oil & just take my time to work it in & it eventually all comes out.

Hi Bobbi I tried the Essence and it was a smudgy mess on me lol - in fact the waterproof smudged worse than the regular which also smudges. I have rosacea and some eye involvement from that - causes dry eye (very watery eyes) when in a flare. I've been using some tubing mascaras which are working fairly well. They have to be removed with WARM water, so my normal watery eyes don't break them down and they last pretty well for me. Curl isn't really an issue, as I have curly hair and my lashes are never straight either. Tubing mascaras aren't overly volumising, but they lengthen really well and give a pretty fanned out effect on the lashes. Best wishes.

I find all of them pretty easy to remove with an oil cleanser like Clinique Takes the day off melting balm or elf melting balm.
I have problem finding a mascara that doesn’t smudges under the eyes. Do this ones work?

I wish so much that my lashes would hold a curl but sadly they don’t. Try out some waterproof ones and see if it works better for you.
I have dry eyes and my eyes are are always watering. My eyeshadow on my mobile lid always washes off and several of the waterproof mascara’s have too. Thank you or giving me some new options.

My eyes night and day, so I NEED waterproof everything. My problem is, my lashes are so short that I can’t use a big bristled brush. Good luck 🍀 finding that. (Plus waterproof and brown, forget about it) lol makeup struggles. Lol 😊TY for this video

I bought EyeKo waterproof and it’s amazing but I find it vert difficult to get it off! I have Clinique and Lancôme removers and still incredibly difficult . Anyone have a better solution?
You may wanna try a melting balm instead of a liquid make up remover. You definitely want to use a remover that has oil in it but sometimes waterproof can be difficult to get off.

Do you like the sky high mascara?
Do they all TRULY not flake? I have a favorite mascara that I've loved for years BUT it flakes like crazy so for that reason I hate it. Clumps I can comb out but flakes 😩
The only time I have flaking is when the mascara is getting older. It starts to dry up and the flakes start. Since we are all so different, you will have to try and see which work well for you.
Which of these will hold up to crying?
I have to go to court next on Thursday to testify against my abusive ex husband & I can’t have raccoon eyes if I cry, I have sparse eyelashes & so I want to wear mascara.

The non waterproof Lash princess is the worst on me . I’m scared to wear water proof bc I don’t want to have to scrub my eyes. . I wore the voluminous for YEARS and loved it. It always looked pretty dramatic on me (but I have pretty long lashes)

Yes I probably should have included that! I will tell you that the best way to remove it is with A melting balm like Clinique take the day off, or ELF melting balm. Both of those work really well! I also like clean it zero, I find that at Ulta.

I have not found the Essence waterproof mascara to be waterproof AT ALL. It smudges and smears on hot days. Very disappointing. Thanks for the other suggestions!😎

@@MindfulMidlife I'm actually pretty dry at my age, but still get a shiny T-zone. I hadn't tried waterproof mascaras in a very long time since they had been so hard to remove. Everyone else seems to love this one, so I tried it without any luck. Oh, well! Everybody's different! Thanks for your helpful videos!💖

I tried the essence waterproof mascara and it FLAKED all over my face. It was also not black black, it had a grey cast. Very disappointed because I remember the formula being better years ago

I find Essence Lash Princess to be very flaky.
It will flake on me when it starts to get dry or old. Of course, I find that with most mascaras. Otherwise it doesn't flake on me.
I always find the mascara videos interesting, especially the waterproof. I only wear waterproof because I'm such a cryer, happy or sad. :D What I find most interesting is how one waterproof is great for one person and not the other when it comes to flaking or smudging. Also for me, I'm sensitive to the bristles and find CG and Essence hurt. :P Essence Lash Princess, any Essence doesn't work for me, neither does L'Oreal's original wp Voluminous or Maybelline's Falsies Lift. I really need to try Maybelline's Bounce. Maybelline's Colossal 36hr WP works great, but must be the 36hr. Also I found these to hold up to my tears and a give me a lash I like, sometimes thick and full and sometimes more natural/easier to remove mascara: Maybelline's Full n Soft, Snapscara, Revlon's Volumazing, L'Oreal's Lashlifting and Air Volume. Buxom is my favorite. First time a higher end beat out a drugstore. However, not enough to buy unless half off. :)

Maybelline lash lift is not waterproof. It smudges wonderfully. Don't waste your money.

I use maybelline full and soft waterproof and have for years. I don’t like a lot of mascaras that others rave about because they clump on me. Love your videos!!! Just recently found your channel and have been binge watching your videos. Your hair is beautiful!!!!!! I’ve been going through hormonal hair loss and it’s so frustrating. I understand about the hair loss it’s so frustrating. I have been using a hair helmet from IRestore for the past 6 to 7 months. It has literally stopped my hair from shedding. I haven’t seen much regrowth yet but I’m not sure if I should at this point. It’s not a cheap thing at all but I am really happy that my hair has stopped falling out. I did do a video on the helmet a few months ago so you may want to look at that video to see what it is.

Can u check a eyeliner and a mascara that does not transfer on under eye if u wear a concealer like Bobbi brown creamy concealer w no powder?would make my wish come thru
I always wear waterproof, but I also use powder. You may want to try using an eye primer under your eyes.

I’ve used L’Oréal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara for 30 years, and I’ve always used baby oil on a damp cotton round to take it off. Essence is my back-up. 🥹
