- A second part to my last video of some new kit I'd got in an exchange , thr the oex phoxx 1 tent , a small minimalist tent that may suit some and not others ..whats my thoughts give it a watch and find out jj
It's always surprises me how spacious these things look inside compared with outside. Simple to put up and take down is a must 😊

Great review jj excellent piece of kit like the set up with tarp and tent back in the day I used to have a Dutch army tent which I really liked the oex looks similar but obviously more up to date great video thanks for sharing
It's a decent little tent but if I was to use this and it was going to be heavy rainfall I'd definitely want a tarp over it as there isn't much sitting room at all jj
Been seriously considering buying one of these, so glad this video came up on my feed
Cheers my friend appreciate you watching 👀...if you want a small little tent ( more like a bigger bivvy bag lol ) then this will do the trick if your after something alittle bit bigger without splashing too much cash then they do the phoxx 2 which has more room

It does indeed seem a decent tent all except it's inner pitch first then fly after which is greatvif its dry but not when it's pissing it down
Blackie Thomas. suggests using an empty 12 G cartridge case to push that type of peg in so it doesn't hurt your hand.

I picked one of these up for £55 - unbelievable value. They're well made with a good HH (5000 mm) but I think of these as large hooped bivvy bags rather than small tents, since there's no room at all to move around in them (try getting your leggings off once inside - impossible!) Still, if you haven't got any cash, this will get you out to the wild places where it'll keep you dry and protected from the wind for very little money indeed.
Do you know what that is my thinkings exactly on this tent..a larged hooped bivvy!!! Perfect for those wanting to head out there with little cash to splash it does the job 👌
I own this tent it's small like a coffin or a bivi, but for quick use back packing for one night at a time to sleep in, it's great. i jst wished that it had been made about six inches bigger in all directions

Nice one JJ . You've just reminded me that I've got that tent stashed away . Off on a bit of a hike and camp in a few weeks and might use it . Haven't even set it up yet though . Anyway take care bud 🏕👌

Looks good but tiny, might struggle to find it after a few drinks, or fall over it. Look forward to seeing you using it in future videos mate.
Well as a small tent goes it would probably be perfect for multiuser day lightweight hikes will see how it goes

Just ordered this is my 1st tent been loving the tarp though want protected from mozzies lol hope it's decent will problem slap a tarp set up over top aswell for a chill out area
It's not a bad little tent for what it is..small yes, if its going to piss down a tarp over the top works well yo give you space to chill out and admin area ..enjoy jj
Just got it set it up in back yard only took 6 minns rooms OK should be able to squash my rucksack out the far side door once my sleep systems out of it so happy days try ot out on Friday night cheers for the review

If I didn't have my +1, and hadn't already acquired a brand new French F-2 I'd be quite interested in this one ...
We all have alot of other tents and then find something else to buy eh lol...this isn't too bad a little tent tbh if you just want a small compact stealthy tent for getting away with
Its very similar to my miltec one man recon tent. Smaller though it seems.

How does this hold up in heavy wind and rain? I usually use the Salamanda bivvy but after going out in amber warning rain and 54mph winds I'd like to try something more breathable 😂
Haven't used it extensively but to be fair it has so far held up.pretty well tbh

How about I bring it to the bushcraft show..you can pitch it up and take alook for yourself mate and figure out if ine would be of any use to use ??

I use my tarp over my tent belt and brasses
Think with tents like this that is a must eh
