What’s the Love Actually movie about?
Nine intertwined stories examine the complexities of the one emotion that connects us all: love. Among the characters explored are David (Hugh Grant from Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral), the handsome newly elected British prime minister who falls for a young junior staffer (Martine McCutcheon from EastEnders); Sarah (Laura Linney from The Truman Show and Primal Fear), a graphic designer whose devotion to her mentally ill brother complicates her love life; and Harry (Alan Rickman from Die Hart and the Harry Potter saga), a married man tempted by his attractive new secretary.

Honestly, I think the film should have kept Rowan's full role as a Christmas angel impacting the lives of all the characters.
Rowan Atkinson’s performance in this scene is quite simply “lovely”.
There is so much chemistry between Rowan & Alan. How I wished to see them more in movies.
Chemistry is a swearword since a jerk at Nasa thought it would be fun to poison with patchouli a fair, young lady into loving him without the intention of reciprocating her love. But the result was f worth it. You bet it was.
Who's going to tell him?
Alan is unfortunately dead😢
2 legend in 1 frame ❤️
Make that 3
Very true. ❤️🙂
Definitely 3!

“Ready in the flashiest of flashes” 😂
Some say it’s not Christmas until Hans Gruber falls out of Nakatomi Plaza. But, FM, it’s not Christmas until Mr. Bean gift wraps a present for Hans Gruber😂
Good old Rickman.
He always sounded like he was perpetually hungover.
Why is it so satisfying to watch gift wrapping by Rowan Atkinson?
ASMR trigger
Exactly. The feeling of excitement, annoyance, and frustration=conpuzzled!
I love how Atkinson is like and artist or a chef, so invested in his work of art
NO no bloody holly
When you suddenly realize that Professor Snape and Professor Trelawney were a couple. #harrypottermovies
I want rowan Atkinson to read me bedtime stories
If only real shop assistants were this attentive and passionate about what they do. Usually they just chew gum and stare at you with contempt.
Rowan fits so perfectly well in that role !!
acting skills of brilliant actors
Two finest actors sharing the screen and turning a simple script into something that's absolutely fantastic! ♥️
Definitelly the highlight of the movie! It makes me laugh so hard every time😂😂😂😂
I wouldn't even mind if the whole movie was just two hours about this.
The fact that we know he’s contemplating having an affair makes this scene oh so very satisfying.
Rowan Atkinson's character also knows he is having an affair and he is delaying him on purpose to save the marriage.
@@struttux5156 Isn't he some sort of Christmas spirit.
Yeah something in those line@@apollyon4761
@@apollyon4761He was originally an angel who helps in all the stories. Then they reduced his role and made it ambiguous
01:54 - "What's that?!"
Cracks me up everytime.
I know, the delivery of that line was so hilarious!
The point he started to lose it 😂😂
"What's that?!"
"It's a cinnamon stick."
"Just shove it up your a@@@ and let me go."🤣🤣🤣🤣
It be the face he makes after he tells him "this is so much more than a bag, sir" for me
ASMR before sleep
As much fun as he was, i felt more tense cause i could feel his rush. 😂❤
2 of the finest actors making a simple script do fireworks.
But my gosh..... Ronan is sooo amazing. The way he talks... the body language( an art!!!)... damn... i have no words to appreciate his talent. What a contrast body language from mr bean
The honest curiosity when he said "really" peeking at the plastic bag
Rowan played a mute at the start of his career. How could he hide that silk voice from all of us?
Would you like it... _Gift-wrapped_ ?
Yes, all right.
(So you have chosen death...) - _Lovely_ ...
You will be my Professor Snape...ALWAYS...
I can't stop laughing Bean vs Snape 😂😂😂
ready in the flashiest of flashes 😭🤣💀🤍
I would show this scene in acting classes. Doing slapstick and somewhat broad humor in the most subtlest of ways is a show of both these actor's talents. What Rowen does is pure brilliance, especially when compared to something like Blackadder & Mr. Bean.
perhaps not the right time to shop for gifts.
also: the look on Rowan's face when Alan doesn't want all of the extra stuff
Surprises, Synergy and Sensational Acting, I must say, for the 2 distinguished actors.
snape vs bean. the world is not ready for this kind of fight!
More like Hans Gruber vs Edmund Blackadder
You mean the Sheriff Of Nottingham vs Johnny English? 😂
Bro now I’m gonna go shopping at jewelry store and expect the gift wrapper to do the same thing in the same amount of time when I’m buying a jewelry.
He must've been like, "That was close."
I love this scene , and i love Rowan Atkinson the way he talks and the way he said would u like it gift wrapped , his expressions were like he wanted to hear (yes) bec he wanted to wrapped it , i love his movies and i wish he make a new movie
3 legends in one 🥰
Remembering this scene time and time again
I love everything about Love Actually !!! I can't watch it enough!!
I'm just disappointed that it doesn't come on TV enough!!!
Buy it on DVD dear, like I did in Belgium!
@@theraven6843 I have it on DVD...
Google is your friend.
you can see the 17 minutes short sequel they made for Red Nose Day called"Red Nose Day Actually", Rowan Atkinson rather repeats this giftwrappe scene while preparing a "Red Nose"gift, making the client get bit edgy :D and the waiting line go long into the street.
It's on Netflix...
It really does seem like he was hoping that he would say yes to the gift wrap. 😂
Best ASMR 😂
watched this during boot camp when it first came out during christmas
TWO LEGENDS
I’m getting ASMR tingles. Why?
Wanna work in retail just to do this
It's kind of strange, but for some reason, i think Rowan Atkinson will be a nice sommelier in a certain... Hotel.
RIP brother
The Sherrif of Nottingham!
Mr. Bean and professor Snape
return the next day, and fcking buy the gift with more time
Hard to believe it's been 7 years (8 years in January) since Alan Rickman passed. Of course not a day goes by where we don't think of him❤️
8 years today. Was gonna watch one of his movies but it's quite late so I thought I'd catch a few clips instead. Same here, think of him every day. Such a sweetie❤
I just realized that Mr.Bean can talk 😂
That was my dream job when i first watched it...it still is..
This film makes me sad its like re living my life over again 😪

In fact, I came because it's Harry' favorite movie.😅
THE SPIRITUAL SIDE... "Love Actually" is funny and beloved, extremely British and ostensibly a bit rough and crude, if visibly kind (about love in every sense and manifestation) and generous and open-armed to everybody of all faiths, colours, creeds, genders and beliefs. I always saw at as the utopia that my country - the United Kingdom - is slightly already, and would try one day to be - that "new Jerusalem". This film celebrates transatlantic links of love and affection but famously reminds the US that we are us: "a small country but we're a great one, too. The country of Shakespeare, Churchill, The Beatles, Sean Connery, Harry Potter. David Beckham's right foot. David Beckham's left foot, come to that... ". This is/would be the country whose leader goes door-to-door (carol singing) to find the woman he loves and has lost, and then appears with her as the star attraction in a kid's NATIVITY Play!!! I hope I spoil it for nobody(!) therefore by highlighting this as a PROFOUNDLY SPIRITUAL film (as countless millions will appreciate generally in a feelgood way, while a few can see the signs clearly - not least the finale at Heathrow with "God only knows" playing and all those countless acts of love in farewell and greeting). And the fact that the Atkinson character Rufus (a name recalling early Saints martyred by the Romans) is an angel is made clear by Richard Curtis (just as the Atkinson-Curtis character Mr Bean may also well be an angel, or at least a fallen one - "ecce homo qui est faba" goes the theme song!!!); and several of the people posting here pick up on that insight, and various others - not least how Rufus appears "miraculously" from behind another assistant, and also how his delaying action tries to prevent Harry (Alan Rickmann's character) from sinning. Later on at the airport, Rufus again holds things up allowing the kid (played by Thomas Sangster) to get through security and tell the girl he loves her before she gets on the plane to America. But who knows if actor and Director even fully grasp how "suffused with the Holy Spirit" this sequence is? Just for a start (though it is not actually the start!) we have "Tis but the work of a moment" - a hugely significant quote from Arychtas - read it in context; it's complex, but it's all there, amazing, about how a person can move on from a situation and avoid ruin and an act offering no chance of atonement! Notice how the bag is "transparent", like what Harry is trying to do! Notice "gift" - Christmas - gold box! Gold ribbon. Even "wrapped" - all deeply religious words... Notice the necklace - a plump gold heart, but with a ruby in one place on the left side. Rubies have long symbolised the purity of love, as well as passion, though in this context it could equally be seen as a blemish or imperfection in the gold heart. Notice cinnamon - an Asian product which is anti-viral(!!!) but also used in mummification. "Cinnamon" appears in The Bible 4 times, each time in association with either frankincense or myrrh or both... Rufus takes a scoop (long associated with the making of offerings and the prevention of sin), but that scoop also rather resembles the silver trowel long symbolising the laying of foundation stones, and highly important to the British Arts and Crafts Movement. Rufus scoops dried roses [and in Christianity, the five petals of the rose symbolize all five of Christ's wounds. ... Typically, a white rose represents Christ's purity and a red rose represents sacrificial blood]. Lavender - which Rufus even grinds in his hands to annoint his wrists - was also used by the Ancient Egyptians in mummies, and it appears in "The Bible" as spikenard, associated with purification and healing; being used by Mary to annoint Jesus's feet; and also featuring in the "Song of Solomon" - again in association with cinnamon, frankincense and myrrh! And of course Harry says "God", and refers to "bloody holly" - remember the significances in "The Holly and the Ivy"? And Harry also says "Can I just pay?" [the price of a non-random 270 pounds, but not only that price, or course! BTW, 270 is the average number of days of a pregnancy, divided into 3 trimesters!!!] In his sarcasm, Harry also refers to "yoghurt" - as consumed by Abraham and an explanation of his long life, long a miracle cure for severe digestive disorders (as probiotic, anti-bacterial, and often served long ago with anti-viral cinnamon!!!) and a food of the gods in ancient India. He also speaks of chocolate, also a kind of miracle food - in this case from South America and originally called xocolātl - meaning "sour or bitter" drink, just like cinnamon, yoghurt, holly berries and so on are sour and bitter! Meanwhile, Rufus also mentions "the final flourish" (also about flowers, but meaning a last bout of creativity before something - not least a life - comes to an end). He also uses the term "prontissimo", which was used (as we non-Italians tend to see it) meaning "very fast". But it actually means "supremely ready", "more than ready", "fully prepared". I REST MY CASE!!!
Yeah

Hi
Snape meets Mr Bean 😃
professor #Snape
Im sorry i forget the film, so i just write down "snape buying necklace from mr bean"
Why is it that Alan Rickman basically never had a good haircut in any of his movies? The man usually had fine hair in person, but for some reason “bad haircut” was always part of his character.
This philanderer bloke & The Prime Minister both went to the same Hammersmith school as me, the philanderer bloke same years as me (I'm 75).
Snape? O.o
Snape
Professor Snape sybill trelawney I am Mr Bean❤
Pity for the wife
1. Why buying a gift for his lover in front of his wife?
2. You have to pay first and then get it giftwrapped.
3. Where did he intend to hide it?
Dose anyone know the name of the background music?! Thanks.🍷
I think it's part of the original soundtrack
What it's is he's gets it for any single ladies of or himself
wife should've seen his infedility coming by just the type of little effort he put in her xmas gifts with scarves, but that big effort on a necklace for the mistress...
I remember watching this movie. But why is it for the love of God I can't remember seeing Rowan Atkinson in it? 😩
He didn't pay and doesn't have any problem shoving that noisy bag under his coat. Bad scene continuity wise.
He left it
This film is so cis-hetero-normative!
Good.
Shut up
Even better.
