That's my issue with a lot of sketches right now. Great start, middle, then a slow slide to a meh ending. Maybe they should bring back some of those 90s writers. I always felt like 90s SNL kept up the momentum in a sketch, start to finish.

I wonder if Pete himself was pranked by the card writers on this sketch... not telling him what some of the cards would say in advance. His face looked bewildered multiple times. He was biting his lips so hard it's amazing they didn't bleed. (SNL is known for revising cards last minute. The Stefon sketches are especially notorious for this)

a guy from nz because it's absolutely brilliant I love this show I've watched it since I was the age of 14 the only time I didn't watch it when I was overseas in the army that's the only time I never watched it and it just keeps getting better and better and better they have a week to do this stuff it's just amazing! Some skits work some don't summer just over the hill make me cry laughing Lauren Michaels is a genius and if they all know what they're doing they all get into movies and get famous if they don't then something's wrong with them it's like the ultimate comedy College once you finish the show you can go onto the biggest and the best things that the business has to offer simply amazing. DRS.

I was trying to figure out what it was. I think some of it is that after his meltdown in early 2020 after dating Kaia Gerber, he went into rehab and went on meds again. Meds can have a devastating impact on a person's body, especially liver and kidneys. I've known people on meds, and it can cause bloating, bad complexion and shadows under the eyes, which Pete already has. Pete has looked much healthier recently. He was spotted at Whole Foods with Chase Sui Wonders, and had gone to Whole Foods when he was with Ariana. I think he and Kim were on a strict diet before the Met gala. They both looked incredible at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in April. Over the summer, he was not looking well. He was eating a lot of Italian food with Kim K, which is not good for anyone with Crohn's disease, especially the pasta and all the pizza they were eating, as well as ice cream. Also, Pete has been smoking cigarettes, which for someone with his health issues, is very bad.

I’m being as real as possible but I’m pretty sure those cards were just multiple different handwritings and I can’t imagine how the meeting for this went
This is not a great sketch. Some of the cards worked well, but the premise wore thin very quickly.
On the other hand, Pete Davidson needs to be utilized in sketches far more often. His facial expressions were spot on.
