    I love the way your mother cooks and how you explain things! I live part of the time in Thailand and absolutely love Thai food, culture, and the people. I just want your mother to find me a Thai wife now:)

    I love Patola, we cook it almost the same. The only difference is, we put very skinny rice noodles. We called it Mishwa😊

    Hi Marion, we call that long luffa in the Philippines “patola”. I often cook this as soup with the tiny noodles called “miswa”, it’s so delicious.

    In India we call this vegetable jhinga. We Bengalis cook this a lot with prawns. It is a summer vegetable. The looks isn't made from this. There is a similar looking vegetable called dhodhle in Bengali, natural loofa is made out of that

    Young luffa is awesome for stir fry. I grow it at home and harvest them young and older. That's how i keep from having to buy luffa from the store.

    The vegetable is also called Ridge Gourd, a staple in our cuisine. I'm from Kolkata, that's eastern India. Our cuisine mostly consists of Bengali delicacies.

    We make a vegetable with ridge gourd and a poppy seed paste. It's one of my favourite things to eat.

    Hi Mation and Mom. I really enjoy you guys. I’ve made a couple of your dishes. I can’t wait to make more. I wanted to ask you, can you or have you made a video showing what to store in the pantry, the refrigerator? Like Fish sauce sesame sauce etc. do they need to be refrigerated after opening? And garlic and ginger should they be refrigerated?

    Oh we call it beerakaya in andhra pradesh.not a fan of it.we mostly eat it when recovering from any sickness.
