Love the video! When Las Vegas is calm and early, it is a different town! The early morning before the heat is such a different time. Even in the height of summer, there is a splendid calm that only the high desert has. Nice video.
Extremely good quality video & very well shot. Brings back memories of my trip last year. One can see all the properties from Mandalay Bay to Stratosphere clearly.
I love this video,I have this video added to my Favorites. It helps me get through another brutal Canadian winter I watch it constantly until I can get to Vegas again. Thanks Vegas Gar!
Thanks you man !! I' m French and Las Vegas is the dream for me and my friends. We want going there for our 21 years ;) Thanks you and sorry if my english is bad =/
My point is this, most people say that Las Vegas is a good city but I have fear for sure it's the most dangerous area in all of Nevada! Gambling and prostitution is illegal in those streets near the city and has been in crisis for years now. I mean don't get me wrong, I've seen pictures and videos of sin city but the casinos are likely to be hazardous and lacks of danger around there. The transportation of the city is not what it seems to be! Drugs and buying alcohol is not right.
Thank you for this excellent video of my favourite city! Thank you for doing it in real time so I didn't have to keep pausing to look at certain familiar locations, including the Bonanza Mall where I worked many years ago!
Great video. It brings back good memories. I was in Vegas a couple of years ago. We stayed at the Riviera. We are going back again in September and staying at the Luxor. I can't wait. Vegas is such fun!
I HAVE TO SAY YOU DID A GREAT JOB WITH YOUR VIDEO , HARDLY ANY NOISES , JUST A QUALITY VIDEO OF THE VEGAS STRIP...........THANKS FOR SHARING, BROUGHT BACK GOOD MEMORIES .
I've walked that many times during the summer. Other direction mind you. Only 5 1/2 years, but damn, so much has changed. Love the video. A nice "time capsule" if you will, of how much Vegas can change is a short time.
Thanks for posting- not only is this a clear and beautiful drive down the Strip, I have added it to my personal favorites here- I made myself a playlist " Las Vegas History" which happens to feature several drives down the Strip from the Las Vegas sign, so I can enjoy and compare them. I haven't been to Las Vegas since 2008, but prior to that I visited 12 years in a row( from Ohio). I saw the new items near the MGM in earliest construction, but have not yet seen the new City Center complete.
I live in Italy. Here the cars go at high speed and do evasive and crazy drive style. In Vegas looks to be a peaceful traffic, and the cars looks so slow
never been to vegas but this video is a great tool for the basic layout of the strip, usually videos are so poor or shot too fast but this is great - wish there were some of hotel walkthroughs so i could decide where to stay. Thanks again for great video
Props to you for great video quality. No offense to anybody who has done what you did, but some videos don't have the best quality. This one has really good quality.
At 12:10, where that red building and condos are, I remember there used to be little strip malls. My mom and dad used to take my siblings and I to eat at the Arby's that was located there. Such good memories. It's amazing how change this city goes through.
I absolutely love Vegas even though I'm twelve and can't do anything I love it!!!! I love seeing all the bright liights on the hotels and just walking around and exploring!
Fantastic video. I really miss Vegas. Loved it as you drove towards the Stratosphere as it brought back memories of jumping off the top :-) Would it be possible for you to do a similar driving video around the suburbs of Vegas?
Nice to see this i spent most of my life in Vegas driven down the strip thousand of times. Iam living in the midwest now but will move back sson.Still like the old Vegas better but nothing you can do about that. Love your camera.
Haven't been there since 2007. Last time I was there, they were still constructing that huge shopping center across from the MGM Grand. Heading to the Page, AZ and may cruise the strip on the way back.
This was great. You did a fantastic job. I just got back from Vegas and was really interested in comparing the old Vegas with the new. I ran two windows side by side of your video at 3:41 (Tropicana) and a video entitled "Las Vegas Strip Street Drive 1988" posted by davem9999. It was really cool to see a side by side comparison of the strip (at least one side of it -- headed North on Las Vegas Blvd.)
Interesting to see what’s changed in just four years. 1:30 GLASS POOL INN sign stolen! 2:45 MOTEL (HAPPY INN) demolished 5:00 HARMON never opened, now being dismantled 7:04 BILL’S gutted and reopened as Cromwell 7:29 O’SHEAS demolished, moved into Linq 7:34 IMPERIAL PALACE facelift and changed names twice, now The Linq 8:06 PALAZZO’s unfinished tower still unfinished, but covered up with a tarp that disguises it as a finished building. 9:26 Not changed: FONTAINBLEAU (in the distance) still the largest unfinished hotel in the world 11:40 RIVIERA soon to close & be demolished 12:30 SAHARA closed, renovated, reopened as SLS 13:11 UGLY BUILDING at Sahara, demolished, ugly Walgreens in its place 13:32 Not changed: HOLIDAY MOTEL. Probably the oldest signage (1954) in this video
I used a Manfrotto suction cup grip camera mount that attached to my windshield. I don't think they make the exact model I have anymore, but they have one that is very similar.
Never been to vegas but this right here is a nice vid of the las vegas strip i'll be out there after my graduation for summer break but good job keep up the good work :)
At 10:07 I think you made a yellow light. That's my opinion. Awesome drive through the strip and I may come in 2018. One question when I come and that is which hotel would you recommend me staying?
Well, it all depends... lots of variables. Will you have a vehicle? If you do, then the Hard Rock or maybe South Point will be good. If you want to stay in the heart of the strip, then it gets pricey (i.e. the Venetian, Bellagio, Caesars, TI, Mirage, etc.). The South end is nice with the MGM Grand or New York New York. I like places that have a Monorail station, like the Westgate. There are several websites you can check out and get a feel for how much and what the advantages might be. Hope you have fun!
Vegas Gar Thanks and god bless. I may not drive any time soon with my limitations but I may fly there. I also may take a tour. Can you take tours in the Vegas strip? Maybe I might up Vegas.com to find out
Man I want to go back to Vegas this year so bad! I've stayed at the THEhotel at Mandlay Bay 7 times. Cant go this year due to a cruise im going on with family but next year...cant wait
@medieval1001 Thanks so much for the nice comment. Do a search on RUclips for "GoCheapVegas" and check out their videos. They have a lot of great videos of hotel rooms and inside the casinos.
You know what's missing? Construction cranes, metal fencing, construction trailers, and bulldozers. After '08, new construction halted overnight, except to finish City Center. I don't think Vegas has ANY major project in the works until at least 2016.
When in Vegas use it's awesome bus system to get around. Vegas has the cleanest buses I've ever seen and the air conditioning is always working. An all day bus pass is only $6.
One of my favorite sights is the MGM Lion- lucky me, the light was red :-) I don't know why, I just enjoy that statue. Amazing, what a trick of the eye that the statue seems "small" now, as compared to the City Center Views across the street. That Lion is not "small" by any means.
@messstat I used a Sony HDR-XR150 Handycam camcorder with a window mount. I knew I had to get this in the morning with the sun coming up behind me. (I'll mute if I want to).
Great video! I was there for a week a little less than a year ago. I stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations Resort across from that monstrosity called Fontainebleau. Stupid thing blocked our view of the entire city. >:(
@10:00 the site of the Stardust which was imploded on March 13, 2007. The construction on the site has been halted as the company filed for bankruptcy caught by the recession of 2008.
@adrianroam95 It's funny you mention that. I was just watching a video about the fontainebleau and some others that are on hold for a few years until things improve.
i was 11 probably waking up for school while you were filming this video, crazy time flies. still live in vegas
I am grateful that you posted this video. I was clicking and clicking on Google Maps StreetView, but your video does a better work. :)
Thanks for the nice words :D
Love the video! When Las Vegas is calm and early, it is a different town! The early morning before the heat is such a different time. Even in the height of summer, there is a splendid calm that only the high desert has. Nice video.
I've never been their but the video quality had me submerged into the city like a 3d movie...excellent & Thank You!!
Glad you liked it. I have a more recent video of The Strip in my vidoes.
Ty for posting. I love Vegas and old videos. Been going there since 1980.. It is peaceful in early daylight.
Thank you, glad you liked it.
@@VegasGar yw.. Always nice to see vegas
Extremely good quality video & very well shot. Brings back memories of my trip last year. One can see all the properties from Mandalay Bay to Stratosphere clearly.

I too really enjoyed watching this video. Thank you for making and sharing it with the fans of LV.
Nice video. Brought back some great memories. Thanks a million for uploading it. Hope to back in Vegas again soon!
Thanks you man !! I' m French and Las Vegas is the dream for me and my friends. We want going there for our 21 years ;) Thanks you and sorry if my english is bad =/
Awesome video man! I'm going to Vegas next month for spring break. I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for bringing back memories!
Love it! I havent been to Vegas since Jan 2010 and I MISS IT! Thanks for posting

Loved this, real time. Good job in not deleting the red light waits. Gives one a chance to take it all in.
Thank you for this excellent video of my favourite city! Thank you for doing it in real time so I didn't have to keep pausing to look at certain familiar locations, including the Bonanza Mall where I worked many years ago!
Glad you liked it!
The first 2:30 was my old trip to work every morning, looks like about 7:00 am. Thanks much, great channel. Peace
Great video. It brings back good memories. I was in Vegas a couple of years ago. We stayed at the Riviera. We are going back again in September and staying at the Luxor. I can't wait. Vegas is such fun!

Just more fuel to my Vegas fever fire. Cannot wait to get there. First timer, headed at the end of february. great video. 1080p :)
I live in Italy. Here the cars go at high speed and do evasive and crazy drive style. In Vegas looks to be a peaceful traffic, and the cars looks so slow
The old Sahara 😍
Excellent vid! Can't wait to get out there sometime soon!
The scenery is absolutely beautiful! Lovely Vid! Greetings from Antigua!
It wasn't a red light, it was a pink light lol! Thanks for letting us ride along , very cool!
Beautiful video. Was just there 2.5 weeks ago. Wish I'd rented a car and did what you did. Thanks for the memories.
I'm sorry, this is not a "great" video.
That's the most Incredible Good Looking Video of the Las Vegas Strip i've ever seen !
You are just amazing !
never been to vegas but this video is a great tool for the basic layout of the strip, usually videos are so poor or shot too fast but this is great - wish there were some of hotel walkthroughs so i could decide where to stay. Thanks again for great video
You should see how it looks now lol.

What a great example of what comments should be like on youtube. Except maybe for the caps. But still. Good job.
Fantastic video. I really miss Vegas. Loved it as you drove towards the Stratosphere as it brought back memories of jumping off the top :-)

ahh vegas, what a great city, thanks for the upload!
Interesting to see what’s changed in just four years.

2:45 MOTEL (HAPPY INN) demolished
5:00 HARMON never opened, now being dismantled
7:04 BILL’S gutted and reopened as Cromwell

8:06 PALAZZO’s unfinished tower still unfinished, but covered up with a tarp that disguises it as a finished building.
9:26 Not changed: FONTAINBLEAU (in the distance) still the largest unfinished hotel in the world
11:40 RIVIERA soon to close & be demolished

Beautiful place to drive...I wish I could drive there lol. Great video!
It was a very crisp January morning at about 7am on a Wednesday, if I remember correctly. The sun was more behind me at that time.
very cool vid !do you have more like these ??
I used a Manfrotto suction cup grip camera mount that attached to my windshield. I don't think they make the exact model I have anymore, but they have one that is very similar.
this video reminds me when I was driving into vegas ... cant wait to go back .... cool video
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Men. In 2011 at that time. My dad was taking me to elementary. It’s insane how time really does fly.

Never been to vegas but this right here is a nice vid of the las vegas strip i'll be out there after my graduation for summer break but good job keep up the good work :)
Cruising Las Vegas in a hurry, feels like paradise
Does anybody know what that huge building is on the right before u get to the Sahara?
I lived by UNLV on Maryland parkway in 2011 and on google maps there is no sign across the rd to this day, Why is that? so old
Please do more early morning driving videos around Las Vegas and especially by homes thank you I am moving there ha
Uploading another video of another Las Vegas area today.
At 10:07 I think you made a yellow light. That's my opinion.
Awesome drive through the strip and I may come in 2018.
One question when I come and that is which hotel would you recommend me staying?

I also may take a tour. Can you take tours in the Vegas strip? Maybe I might up Vegas.com to find out
***** Yes, I've seen those buses going up and down The Strip with the people on top taking pictures, like they do in Hollywood.
Thanks you, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
superbe traversé MERCI pour ce petit voyage !
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Technically, the project already is under way because Genting plans to use some of the Echelon superstructure already in place.
Hi from Finland ) yeah there I was, staying in Cosmopolitan, just 1 week ago. Was cool to be out there )) have fun folks ))!!
Man I want to go back to Vegas this year so bad! I've stayed at the THEhotel at Mandlay Bay 7 times. Cant go this year due to a cruise im going on with family but next year...cant wait
Thank you Riviera And Sahara!
1955-2015 1952-2011
Great video!! Just curios what day of the week this was filmed and how early in the AM?
Amazing drive by of Strip! Thank you for sharing :-)
@medieval1001 Thanks so much for the nice comment. Do a search on RUclips for "GoCheapVegas" and check out their videos. They have a lot of great videos of hotel rooms and inside the casinos.

Reminds me of when I used to live there :( Miss that place A LOT!
You're welcome! Glad you liked it.
@shakedownstreet48 Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
is the fontainebleau ever gonna be finished up
Great video. Can't wait to go back
wats the speed limit down that road
Actually, it's both. The middle part are stairs.
This is the Las Vegas Strip! You aren't meant to go fast. You just drive down it and enjoy the sights. :D
@metalux1971 That's "Speed - The Ride" at the Sahara which has been shut down since I made this video.
When in Vegas use it's awesome bus system to get around. Vegas has the cleanest buses I've ever seen and the air conditioning is always working. An all day bus pass is only $6.

At the time, it was a 1999 Pathfinder with a heater/air vent that only worked on full blast. That's why it's so obnoxious.
Great Video, I've walked almost all of the strip.
I came here in June for my first time, I'm not used to the 103 degree weather I wouldn't like living here but the strip was fun :)
@messstat
I used a Sony HDR-XR150 Handycam camcorder with a window mount. I knew I had to get this in the morning with the sun coming up behind me. (I'll mute if I want to).
las vegas the best place to be!
I agree!
+Slaughter except the 120 F degrees
Came back from Vegas last week. Great Place. I actually walked this whole strip. The Sahara is no longer there. The whole front facade is gone.
hey is fremont st closer to where you started the video or ended the video?
Great video! I was there for a week a little less than a year ago. I stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations Resort across from that monstrosity called Fontainebleau. Stupid thing blocked our view of the entire city. >:(
@10:00 the site of the Stardust which was imploded on March 13, 2007. The construction on the site has been halted as the company filed for bankruptcy caught by the recession of 2008.
how fast are you allowed to drive in cities in the USA? it looks damn slow O.o
@adrianroam95 It's funny you mention that. I was just watching a video about the fontainebleau and some others that are on hold for a few years until things improve.
Question: the Pedestrian bridge at 06:16, is it escalator or just stairs? THX!
Wow those people out for a jog wearing shorts are brave. Early morning temps during January are extremely low.
Great vid, thanks for sharing.
Glad you like it.
Fremont is closer to the end of the video. If you keep going past the Stratosphere, you'll run into the downtown area.
what hotel is being built at 10:30?
@sp2834aa Thanks a lot, glad you liked it.
Smooth ride.
what is this rollercoaster on the right at 13.06 ?
