Since there are no Korean grocery stores where I am, nor would Amazon deliver the goodies, I'd rather patiently sit by the river waiting for Aaron himself to swim by and cook the damn soup for me. İt looks so delicious and worth waiting ☺️🔥👌🏻
This, without a doubt, is the healthiest soup on the entire Earth. Thank you so much for showing us how to prepare this! Chicken and ginseng with rice and vegetables is like homemade penicillin. It will heal body and soul.
I originally came for the cooking, but have since realized that Claire's comments as she devours the food are also great for Korean language comprehension practice!
I keep trying to tell my friends about this channel. They interrupt with, "oh is that the guy who says not to worry about it? I love that channel!" So you're doing great work!

I’m so excited about this! I actually already have this kit. I just haven’t done anything with it. Lol. After I watched this video, I tried cooking this (samgyetang) for my girlfriend's family. We love it! Good thing we have a Korean Grocery Store nearby.
This is one of my favorite Korean soup besides Sundae Guk! If I want to cook this in my Instant Pot, what setting should I use and cook for how long? Thanks Aaron!!!
I usually "crack" the garlic or squish it so it breaks open and has more surface area to release the flavor. You can use the side of a knife or just smack it with a rolling pin like my mom does. I find that it helps the garlic absorb into the broth and the broth into it to make it a tasty thing to eat. 😋

Hi Aaron and Claire. I love your videos!! You and Claire are awesome and the dishes are Chef's kiss delicious! I have two questions. I was watching a BL drama called Advance Bravely and they show this food item call glutinous rice with lotus root. First, is that really a dish and second, if it is, can you make it and do a video about it?
Awesome, this looks so tasty! I didn’t know about the herb kit but that sounds like a really good idea. I would love more pressure cooker recipes, especially in the summer when I don’t want to boil food on my stove for hours.
its raining a lot in Vietnam currently. that nice warm, soft, flavourful soup would be so warm and comforting to eat !! though tbh i'd eat that any day of the year
Woooow! My stomach is already cheering for the dish haha. Will make darn sure to get my hands on the samgye-tang kit. I will make it with cornish hen as I am never able to finish a whole chicken in a week.
This looks delicious. I am always amazed that tiny Claire can eat such large portions of food, I couldn't believe it when she consumed that piece of chicken breast all at once. How's the driving coming Claire?
Actually, the chicken is not that big, about 500 grams, so it's perfect for 1 serving! lol About the driving, she keeps practicing, didn't give up yet! 😂We'll try to keep posting it! Thank you for asking! 😍
Okay since Aaron uploaded this, it's time to really cook this for my mom who recently watches Kdramas and saw this wonderful dish, as she said, haha since she loved the jjajangmyeon of aaron that i cooked, i'm sure she gonna love this too!!! 😍
Aaron, I already have my samgyetang kit bought from Mrs. Kim's Korean store...but I don't have the chicken yet...I should worry, right?🤪...Don't have money to buy chicken yet, payday is still a few days away. Maybe I'll just stand by my cousin's chicken coop and grab one...🙄😁🤪
thanks for the great video :) but question here! what settings do you recommend for the instant pot? i just got it today and want to use it for this recipe!
Wow Aaron, I've never tried this soup before, but it looks delicious And it would be an awesome chicken soup for when one has a cold or just a cold day too yummy 😋 but that porridge looks delicious too!
This was not a complex meal to make for two people. Easy. I am very lucky to live in Queens NYC, took a 20 min ride on the train to the Korean markets. I also found that shopping in the small mom and pop stalls, I got the samgyetang herbal kit for much much less money than online or in the larger store, and I make new friends who ask, How do I know about Samgyetang. LOL I told them My friends Aaron and Claire from YT. Thanks guy's again This turned out really well. So much so I did this a few time for a group of friends. nothing but bones were left and a very happy group who keep making that noise sucking the bones. :) LOL thanks guy's

well i just ordered a kit from amazon, I tried the Bagged(premade) one, but wasn't a big fan of it(was missing something..), so I'm excited to try this Homemade!!
Yeah, fun facts: 1) Only Koreans can afford that amount of ginseng per recipe; 2) This is traditionally served in mid-summer to maximize therapeutic effects; 3) Fresh ginseng (≤4yrs) are much more affordable should you have trouble sourcing that part of the ingredients; 4) Do select sticky rice for the stuffing.
