I can hear a good voice actor in the game playing Ragnar almost.
Evior finally find the snake-pit that King Ælla of Northumbria had Ragnar executed in, after defeating Ragnar's Lost Drengir and sends them to Vahalla. Then the Wolf-Kissed finds the Drengiligr in the pit. Ragnar whispers on the Northumbria winter winds...
I put together the lyrics so you can sing along:
My mother told me
Someday I would buy
Galleys with good oars
Sail to distant shores
Stand up on the prow
Noble barque, I steer
Steady course to the haven
Hew many foe-men
Hew many foe-men
Thank you mate!

Whoever sings bass here sounds like he could crack mountains with his voice
lmaoooo
This is the song the warriors of valhalla will sing when they march into ragnarok
So I’m a bass singer, and a music major, and I have a little nugget of information for you:
This guy, as good as he sounds, is actually audibly struggling with the lower notes, and my guess is that he’s a baritone acting as bass. My point:
While this guy could probably crack mountains, there are some guys who could shatter the earth with one note!
Now that’s power.
@@kppage8843 could you recomend some songs with such a guy?
@@palmagius Well, I know of four a cappella groups to look into: Pentatonix, A Cappella, Voiceplay, and Home Free. All four of these groups, and their six(PTX’s has changed, AC has two) respective bass singers, are all amazing in their own right. Give them a listen!
Everyone says they want this song at their funerals. I want this song at the birth of my sons.

I don't know why, but I found this song very peaceful and comforting.
For what I know, it is supposed to be charming, soul warming or... how to say that,... bring nostalgia and good feelings back
I’m sure there is a name for it but the feeling is similar to the Maori chant. Being a bigger part of a whole it seems. Also having a killer baritone usually hits ya like the one in this.
Can Explain: Humans are pack animals, and chanting like this brings about a sense of homeliness and comfort because it's unifying to the heart. Especially when it's a driving tune like this, if you found yourself in a Maori Haka chant, or a marching hymn like this, it brings about a sense of brotherhood and purpose. Whether you can sing or not, you're included in something that is bigger than yourself, even if it only means something to the group singing it. It can strike fear into your enemies, and bring morale to your brothers/sisters.
You ain’t alone bruh
I don't know why, but I want to go Viking

This game wasn’t just a game for me, it was a whole experience. I was so intrigued about vikings and their culture. Every time i finished playing the game I would research about Viking history, everything from how they began to how they ended, and their gods. Every time i saw a character in the game that also existed in real life, i was fascinated.
@steel marr female vikings did exist in the past. They were called shield maidens. They went raiding just like any other male viking. But the black viking thing is true, although the game didn’t have a black viking other than vagn?
Its one thing that Ubisoft really did well, blending real culture, history and fiction into one big saga👌🏻
that’s why i love the assassins creed games, they introduce me to time periods i would have otherwise brushed away. but after doing research on the events and characters in the games i realise how rich the history is
@@cockballtorture7531 No, there were no "shield maidens" back then. They are a modern conceit based on the fact that they found some woman buried with a shield.
@@cockballtorture7531 I know I'm about a year late, but I do want to point out that shield maidens were a rarity. They certainly existed, but never in the numbers that modern media depicts. They were also typically noble women, so it's debatable how much fighting they actually did.

A friend of mine said he and his family started singing this on his grandfather’s death bed. His grandfather was apparently very proud of his Norwegian/Norse heritage. I was told he spent decades tracing his family’s line, all the way back to the time of King Harald!
Anyways, he told me that after he and his family started singing this, his grandfather’s eyes lit up and he started singing too! He passed a few hours later. He apparently never stopped singing until the very end.
EDIT: So I just looked back at this comment and I’ve very surprised by how may likes and stuff this got! And for anyone who’s skeptical about this story, that’s fine. I wasn’t there obviously I’m just saying what I was told.
So I myself recently lost my grandfather and my friend really helped me through it. I also learned why his grandfather was so into their family’s heritage. Apparently his mother (my friend’s great-grandmother) was pregnant with him when she and her husband (my friend’s great-grandfather) fled Norway during the German occupation in WW2. Later, after he was born in England, his father went back to Norway to fight and liberate it from the Nazis. It was years later that they finally got to go back to Norway only to find most of their family’s heirlooms and records gone/destroyed. It was at that moment that he (my friend’s grandfather who was in his teens or early 20’s then) decided that he would do everything he could to make sure his family’s history was never lost.
I’m really thankful that my friend told me this because now I’m kind of doing the same thing in honor of my grandfather.
Thats beautiful.
Brother, that gave me chills
wow
Songs like this carry the weight of many souls till the very end and you can never remove the voices of once past they simply fuel those living of a memory long gone but they are never forgotten
