So I performed a lot in this piece. I played cello, violin, tagelharpa, miscellaneous percussion(s) and I was the Icelandic choir (26 voices), which I had to learn a bit of Icelandic for (apologies for my pronunciation!). I also wanted to incorporate more of an established theme than the last one of these I made. I took a lot of inspiration here from Bear McCreary's work in the latest God of War ost for the bass choir as well as some stuff by Danheim if you can get the references.

@@matthewkiggin5456 ubisoft is probably going to wait for the next generation of systems, because literally nothing has been announced about the next AC except that it's in the viking age. feb 2020 would mean they have maybe a full month to get the ad campaign up and running, which isn't feasible for a game like the AC series.

I’m Icelandic, and I got chills when I understood “Dauðinn kemur fyrir okkur”, and I genuinely thought it was our old common Scandinavian viking language (Old Norse) - that we in Iceland can still read and understand - because of the pronunciation. GREAT JOB!

every time i hear old norse i hear my native swedish. it is sureal to connect with our ancestors who have been dead for a thousand years.

@@RestlessRebel ah, then they missed a trick. Odin was definitely associated with 2 ravens and he even used them as a form of reconnaissance. However, I suppose nothing stops them from retconning that detail of the novel. I guess we will have to see what they do. Either way it'll probably be interesting.
When i first read the title i didn't notice the "unofficial" so i 100% thought this was it. Sound amazing dude, Ubisoft needs to use this on the game.

Thanks again for all of the kind words since the official game was announced, happy to see so many new listeners! I've gotten a lot of feedback about my Celtic version of the theme with some requests to make a second attempt that sounds.... well MORE Celtic.
Let me know what you all might want to see in a track like that:
- Live Irish "choir"
- Type of instrumentation
- More of an original theme/etc.

0:00 Starts off with Ezio's Family-like singing, 0:30 transitions into a Daniel Pemberton King Arthur-esque melody, 0:50 transforms into a raid like from the "Vikings" TV show and then from 1:55 towards the end becomes an epic reminiscent of a glorious AC theme combined with an intense Ezio's Family Icelandic chanting.
