One of my favorite pedals!
My #1 favorite though is the Cornerstone Gladio - dual pedal. Simply glorious and even more-so with a Dumble “style” amp! I’ve never played something that has much tonal mojo, as the Gladio.
The Gearbox is an awesome pedal and lives on my BIg pedalboard.

The way you used the trem bar on the opening song was super nice. I'd say it has a hint of Landau there, but the way you play around with it is pretty much your own.
The gain box is really cool. There are more dual drive pedals now, and this pair is very good. It's just about enough for a wide range of tones.
If I'm listening on poor laptop speaker away from home I can still trust what is being said about it in your videos Shawn. Plus always good to hear great playing.

You are too kind and modest. In the last 2 years, I have spent more hours transcribing your outside lines than other players. Andy is a beast, but you are a beast also. Nice demo. Amp or amp emulator, the clean “Tone enhancer” was a perfect description of how to use ch 1. I use a Kemper and Helix and run an OCD or AT (Angry Charlie) on low gain as an amp breakup thing and prefer real pedals before amp emulators. Good reason to consider a pedal like this, amp or emulator. By the way, your description video on your mic technique made me go out and buy a Royer 122. I know you use a 121 but I also use it for voice. Thanks for all of your demo videos. Royer might want to send you a thank you...smile.

I don't know much but I also noticed how useable the range of the treble is. I cringed a little when you turned it all the way up, but was pleasantly surprised at the sound :) cool pedal and vid!
I wish I had this pedal in the 80's it delivers the Marshall Brown tone in spades

Interesting. I have a Wampler Dual Fusion and a Tumnus on my board. So it sounds like a similar approach to the Dual Fusion. Oh yes, the opener was awsome!
It interesting that you use the word "enhancer", I use the same. Just and enhancement of the sound without distorting it. Keeping channel one on to enhance the sound is great and what makes this pedal the choice.
Beautiful sounding pedal and monster playing! Reminds me a bit of the Truetone Jekyll and Hyde pedal.

Does this pedal come with a power supply? Does this get that dirty on a single channel clean amp ? Really good demo 2thumbs up.
Thanks! I don't believe this pedal comes with a PS. The Gearbox is designed to sound great and have plenty of gain into a clean pedal platform amp.
Great playing and demo of the pedal. I have a Wampler hot wired v2 and am wondering if anyone has compared these two pedal’s tones since they both have a light and heavier drive channel .
It would be great if it were a stereo pedal and you could get the pure sound of each channel at the same time through two different amps. I wonder if Brian could do a mod on it.
I’m just guessing but I’m pretty sure you could do that. It has the dual in/outs designed to go in two separate loops on a loop switcher. Should be able to rig up something that way?

how you compare gearbox with suhr eclipse?
The Gearbox might be a bit more versatile in that it is two different types of overdrives in one pedal as opposed to the Eclipse being two of the same circuits.

I could not sell mine fast enough.nit a very musical pedal.remember Sean's using many other devices to enhance his sound.Believe me it's not this pedal.i really think wampler pedals all sound alike.really.of course not the modulation pedals but,and the tumnus is THE MOST OVERRATED PEDAL OUT THERE.
never liked anything brian made and as for andy he's good but not even close to your level brian should have a look at all the marshall pedals if he's gonna copy a pedal. as always nice job shawn

Bought this pedal direct from Wampler after a disappointing experience with their Plexi Drive Deluxe. I bought because their support was so good. However, like the Plexi Drive, I found this pedal to only be dynamic at higher gain levels. Dropping the gain below 10 resulted in a thin, sterile, lifeless sound. Maybe I'm just not a Wampler guy. Their great folks, but I'm just not impressed with the pedals.
