Great idea wee stroll about Glasgow,s nightclubs of the past brings back great memories. You will probably have many stories to tell of them. Brilliant Ian.
I worked up there late 80's , i remember a bar called 'Montego Bay'..had a bright blue carpet with 'Montego Bay emroidered into it ..Some heavy drinking in that place ...We were stopping at 'The Alamo 'guest house
this podcast reminds me of my transition from a small Argyll fishing town to being in the big smoke as they say but Glaswegian PEOPLE ARE LOVELY PEOPLE AND WERE ALWAYS STRAIGHT WITH ME AND OF COURSE Glasgow is a flourishing city and always will be.
I grew up on whisky in a small town and when I moved to Glasgow I didnt need anything else because the city had everything I needed thats how I love the city.
@@stuartmurray3995 I'm not into recapturing it. But that was a good year. Went from pubs opening at 11.30am to pub opening at 8am with nightclubs extended from 3am to 6am the full year of 90 was a party. Free concerts in the green.

Been literally everywhere in the uk except glasgow looks a great city
@DonnellOkaforaye lol
Sad to see. 1990 was best year in glasgow. City of culture clubs open to 6am. A year long party. And the clubs. Glasgow is a shadow of itself.
A YT video called "90s Ecstasy Clubland part 13 (Scotland the Rave)" brings back good memories of those days👍
