I don’t have those nice kitchen appliances he does. I’ve got a KitchenAid with the ice cream attachment. I don’t have that really nice ice cream maker. I don’t have an espresso machine either. If you live in Austin, Texas you’re familiar with Central Market. They make their own gelato in the store. So, what I’m thinking is that I’ll get the gelato from them, make a cup of really strong coffee and add a shot of Amaretto.
He has also lived in Italy, but unfortunately, I, as an Italian, have to say that with many Italian words, with several Italian terms he has enough difficulty pronouncing them in the original way. Then as for the famous "Espresso", it's not that it would be one of the difficult words to pronounce. But in America they tend to "Americanize" a little bit everything. Then there is also to say that there is no an "American pronunciation" for famous Italian terms. There is only the original pronunciation. It is not that every country has to pronounce a famous Italian product in its own way. Just to give an example... Ferrari or Lamborghini don't have to be pronounced differently in every single country, although unfortunately, especially with Lamborghini, it often happens in some countries that you hear from some people a different pronunciation, like here in Germany where I live.
Not sure if you wanna try it out, but I heard a splash of regular vodka will help the gelato from getting too hard even in the freezer. Imma try it out after doing your recipe. Thx!

Vivoli is truly the gelato GOAT. It's such a shame covid killed their shop in NYC at the Macy's at Herald Square. They still have one down at Disney, but I haven't been. Riso is their best flavor.
If I had to do all that for a dessert, I think it would be cheaper and easier to fly to Florence, or else just take some ice cream or gelato and pour in some espresso or Cafe Bustelo. That's just me, and I do love desserts like this.
We need another video on different flavors for gelato! So much cleaner than store bought with all the crap they put in it. Flavors like a typical stracciatella or pistachio! PLEASE!!!!!
