Fantastic. Two questions: what does raw data mean? I'm assuming it has to do something with flying without AP and flightdirector. Secondly: could you change the refresh rate of your camera so the displays stop flickering? Your video's are brillliant!
A rare demonstration of flying the A320 raw data. An increasing number of companies discourage or forbid the use of manual thrust in line flying. Proficiency decays and company tackle decay by mandating automation wherever possible (easy and cheapest way) to keep incidents low. An alarming trend.
Don Choo, I could not agree more to your comment! It's just a shame this new trend, pilots can be easily trained to do anything and be more capable. In the mean time... "Vive la resistance" You are not alone ; )
My airline forbids the use the of ATHR 😆 they encourage raw data flying, i do it 99% of the time. Once you know what you’re doing it ties up almost no capacity. Well done
He does the exact opposite of the S.O.P loool
3:41 captain taking pose, grab a cigar put your feet up, sip your favorite libation and land in style.
That's the way ;-)
Great video! Why isn't the PIC wearing a headset?

Timpaaa2 Yes raw data means using no guidance, so no FD.

You can manual control the throttles? I thought they don't move
eric davis Of course :P
eric davis They are static when the AT is engaged but when controlling the speed manually they move like any other throttle.
