  • Descent and raw data approach with an A319 to Berlin RWY 26R.
    The flare was a little early hence the touchdown being a bit later than intended.

    This is a really nice example of manual flying of the A319. I enjoyed it every second.

    Great! One question: what are you doing with your hand on that side stick while descending and changing speeds at 1:30 while the autopilot is engaged?

    • @dualinput601
      @dualinput601  2 года назад

      Hey, thanks for the reply. Hand could be anywhere at that time. Might have been on the sidestick to use the push to talk if the PM was talking on the PA or making a call to the cabin. Also it's a habit of mine to have my hand on the stick below 10.000ft incase the autopilot acts up.

    How can u fly at 330 knots below 10000ft, isint there a rule of maximum 250 knots below 10k?

    • @dualinput601
      @dualinput601  3 года назад +1

      You are correct, that is the general rule. However if ATC agrees, there is no speed limit. In Europe it's quite common. Often times ATC will even propose that

    Was great to finally see someone actually half/flying the plane (it’s an Airbus it can never really be flown). AP, FD, AT off and not at 500ft as alway .. nice. Too bad the sidestick got severely abused at the end. It’s not an Extra 300 in a storm!!

    flying a raw data decelerated probably isn't advisable in a line operation, even a fully stabilised one. If you're gonna do it at all at least do the latter. This isn't the sim.
