You're absolutely right way before that big bad earthquake one of them anyway seems like 1980 you're so far a way" we went through a lot of things I was a kid the 80s the show is beautiful the backdrops in the scenes are absolutely exquisite Muriel Monroe Sarah and Jackie in mr. Rush oh my goodness all the episodes and rafkin it was a different time and a different place now it seems like we're losing everything I want this Coronavirus to go away everybody be like we used to be and just hatred shooting and killing and protesting what kind of generation is this no kind all these shows who's the Boss The Golden Girls we were getting away from soap" Along Came Benson, The writers back then the people the TV shows we're brilliant so clean nobody heard of Tom Brady back then 1980 the only knew about Michael Jackson and believe me they did people were so kind and courteous no cell phones only those big ones if you were rich in Mercedes and car phones and other luxury cars we didn't know what a suv was back in these days we've got to make the best of what we got and keep on trusting in God and going on this was a funny show so classic did anybody else love their house besides me ,you know right that San Francisco place in 1980 was exquisite just wondered what it would have been like to grow up in San Francisco God made some beautiful places on this beautiful Earth we take for granted sad but true rest in peace Ted Knight these were some beautiful days and you know something everybody the food tasted so much better back then. Just reminiscing love the 80s the tragedies were often now we're seeing more in a different kind of way everybody please pray for our beautiful America🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸😪

The final season of Two Close for Comfort was renamed The Ted Knight Show, and sometimes The New Ted Knight Show. When the episodes were released in syndication it went back to the name Too Close for Comfort. This final season did well in the ratings, but Ted Knight died before a new season could be filmed.

Satisfactorily acted but wretchedly written episode. This guy is committing two crimes: trafficking in underage porn and blackmailing. Henry basically kowtows to him to protect this young woman, by giving into the guy’s demands. How does he know this person isn’t doing the same to other women? They should have had him set up a sting through the police to nail this bastard. I don’t believe this episode has a happy ending.

Many of the show's episodes bordered on mediocrity and at times, just plain bad, when the show went to first-run syndication. And Monroe became more stupider every season.

These episodes (the ones co-starring Pat Carroll) aired as The Ted Knight Show in my area...this must be an episode from a syndication rerun package for "Too Close for Comfort" and the editors simply removed the original title from the screen and replaced it with the sitcom's earlier title. All episodes officially titled "Too Close For Comfort" featured exteriors of the bright red house whereas the episodes originally titled "The Ted Knight Show" featured this opening sequence.

MetroMedia Producers (now Fox Television Stations, Inc.) had to make cuts when Too Close For Comfort was brought for first-run syndication. When the show was first renamed The Ted Knight Show for its final season, the 2 daughters were dropped for financial reasons and the writing was on par with other first-run syndicated shows at the time: Poor.

Old Ted Baxter was indeed playing a great role .
    Pretending to be an idiot.
In the Industry, often times the label sticks to the actor -- becoming a terrible burden.
Fortunately it was not the case regarding Ter Kight.

This Lisa girl was absent in four episodes, huh? If you ask me, she should never have appeared in any of them at all. Especially The Bedtime For Henry Episode. With actresses like her, who needs Fay Wray's? I really hate it (And Lisa) when women and actresses scream in terror like that. She should've been part of The Freddy Krueger Franchise instead and it's not exactly a complement.
