      I’m not going to argue with a stranger on the Internet. Your opinion is yours. It clearly she’s poised and resilient enough to share her journey and Pursue her career. If you can’t wish her well no need to comment o. Her video

      Because you feel your opinion matters, I will respond to your comment.
      No need to say “she,” I can see the comment so direct it directly to me.
      The way I “look” does not matter, it’s the work I put in that matters. Clearly you did not watch the video in it’s entirety.
      I can speak highly of myself because I earned the right to.
      If you don’t agree, that’s your problem. But several schools beg to differ.
      Whether “YOU” see it or not, don’t matter. In your world your opinion matters, over here we👏🏽 don’t 👏🏽 care 👏🏽.
      Thanks again for watching my video, I wish you all the success in the world 😇

    Non-trad student as well. I have two bachelors, the last one being nurse. I’ve been a nurse for 2.5 years. Currently doing an DIY postbacc, wanted to do an SMP but I started back at school right when covid hit and I haven’t made connections with teachers. Unless the institutions have specific instructions on who to have your LOR from, you could always get letters from your job experience & physicians you may have shadowed. If not, just be ready to have faculty letters ready for the next cycle! Good luck ❤️

    I absolutely love this video! It resonates with me 🥰🥰🥰What’s that a 3.2 overall or 3.2 science ? My overall gpa is 3.1 but I’m afraid my science gpa is lower than that.. also isn’t the master gpa is different from the undergrad gpa? Can you you explain how your graduate classes help increase your undergrad gpa? Thank you!

    • @brithemelaninmd8350
      @brithemelaninmd8350  3 года назад +3

      It was a 3.2 overall. So I’m sure my science gap was less than 3.0.
      Master’s GPA hold more weight with admissions because the curriculum is harder. So my 3.9 was my overall AND science because I took only science classes for my Master’s.
      It didn’t necessarily “help” my undergrad GPA. It overshadowed it. Plus, it showed I was serious and could do hard science coursework.
      I hope that helped!

    • @KT-pw1cq
      @KT-pw1cq 3 года назад

      @@brithemelaninmd8350 this helped a lot! Thank you !! For a very long time I’ve been thinking about how can I increase my undergrad gpa because I’ve heard a lot of schools have a cut off at 3.0 in their system where they won’t even look at your application. I wasn’t sure if that was science or overall. I did well in my masters but was concerning about applying due to my undergrad gpa.

    • @SBchicadebaile
      @SBchicadebaile 2 года назад +1

      @@KT-pw1cq it depends on the school cause wit the state school I looked at they don’t care if your undergrad was shit they said as long as your masters was a 3.0 and above. It’s like that wit a lot of other schools too .

    All of the RUclips videos says the same thing: “low Gpa” (which really isn’t that low.. cause gpa cut offs are 3.0) special masters : 4.0 got into med school.” Are there any instances where they did decent but not a 3.9 or damn near perfect in a special masters that still got in?

    • @brithemelaninmd8350
      @brithemelaninmd8350  3 года назад

      I would check to see how many pre-reqs you’re missing. If it’s a lot or you need some better grades, I would do a masters degree so you can add those pre-reqs + another degree to your application. If it’s just a couple, i would just take them solely!
