I opened a shop months ago, I was trying to get traffic using sub niches like Gym Sayings. My goal was to make about 10 to 25 designs for each sub niche. I was using merch informer to get ideas on keywords and niches i should go after along with everbee. I too noticed the more postings I've created the more traffic I would get. One of my designs gets views but no sales im not sure why. I made my first sale in the political niche in april, I lost money on it due to fees however it did prove it to me that this could be viable. Unfortunately, I've gotten side tracked and haven't kept up with it. I need to start grinding on this, seeing 100 sales within 1 or 3 months is amazing results IMO and i don't think it is typical. I need some help getting the ball moving and I'm interested in the systems your using to generate designs as well as upload them to etsy. I upload my design to printify and then it publishes to etsy, should I do this differently?

Great video. Just wondering why you rank Gelato so low typically when until 2 monthd ago they were by far the cheapest supplier for mugs and even now are typically cheaper then printify for shirts, especially internationally.
Your videos are always interesting Alek. However, I have just closed my shop on Etsy, it's just a waste of time, the site is massively over saturated with everything from T-Shirts, Mugs to digital products and the only way to make any money is to spend a fortune in advertising and even that's no guarantee. I work 9 hours a day and I am far too tired to spend time creating new designs for either T-shirts, Mugs, etc. But I do enjoy your videos.

I am just starting out with a POD shop and have learned a tremendous amount from you thank you! But with that being said I feel I am seeing EVERYTHING on Etsy is discounted - sweatshirts that I know seeing the production cost via printify that won't bring in much profit or even lose money- as a new creator how can I compete with such lower prices that other long time big money making companies are doing and make any profit ???
Exactly, that very first shop he shows have all their T-shirts at 60% discount and selling for $8….doesn’t cover the cost of the raw T-shirt?
Good question. I think you have to position your products as premium and charge more. He says you can just make minor adjustments to what others are doing, but I don't know if that really works.

Hi Alek How long does it take to gain traction to your store i have 30 plus listings so far and only 1 or 2 visits per day. My seo is good and so are my designs.
depends on your designs, time of year, etc.
average can take upto 1 year for a shop to get proper traction.
Your videos inspired me to give this a try, but when it comes to setting up a shop/shops I have a few unanswered questions. I understand that you just open a bunch of different specialized shops to in essence diversify your portfolio, but when it comes to money, do all of your various shops link back to 1 personal bank account? Do they all link back to a bank account(s) associated with a singular LLC or similar? Do you open every shop under a unique LLC or similar, each shop having aunique bank account(s)?

Gelato's prices are way more reasonable than Printify. Every single thing I priced on Printify cost more than on Gelato.

I've watched a few of your videos, and you know your stuff. I have some unique ideas for products that I and my close friends think will be very successful using some of your methods. My problem is that I want to produce high-quality products that someone won't just blatantly plagiarize like you showed us how to do in one of your other videos. What about those of us who want copyright our designs so guys like you can't rip us off?
How do you compete with stores selling t-shirts for $9 before they're printed in-house when the cheapest I can be with print on demand is $19 making around $2 profit?

Alek - you'll be happy to know that your nomination has been submitted for President of the RUclips Liar's Club.
To generate $1 in sales on Etsy one must spend $10. Sure there's income - but no profit in sight.
Perhaps your Etsy income is mainly from social media influencer fees? Or perhaps you don't care about running a business that looses money?
In any case Etsy is NOT as you describe and you need to be called out.

The other day I saw this method of boosting your Etsy sales it was to have a hundred products and post one everyday this method is from Etsy consultants RUclips channel would you recommend doing this I’ve seen people who have had no sales for a long period of time then when they started using the method they said they started to get sales what do you think
I don’t know about the method you’re talking about, but usually most people share what works for them. I’d pick something and make it work

Etsy in 2024. 1. Open account. 2. Add 1000 products. 3. Pay 300$ in fee. 4. Account suspended. 5. Appeal denied with no reason. 6. Open a Shopify or Woo store.
Don't forget about the $15 fee that they are not refunding. It's not a lot but if they close a million + shops it adds up.

I did research, took notes etc. Started up opening Etsy. BUT! Etsy autocorrected my last name. I messaged them, no reply. I tried and tried to correct them....I shut down my shop.

You forgot to tell us how to avoid getting the account closed in the beginning.
It's part of their basic process. You have to file an appeal and it will get reinstated within a couple of days, unless there is some major issue.
It's stupid since they are now charging $15 to open a store.

@@_g4m3r_ Yeah apparently this is a new thing Etsy rolled out a couple months ago. Luckily I had opened a shop before this came into effect but I guess it's a deterrent for people to post low quality listings. No idea why they restrict the account from the beginning though. This is a bot issue that needs to be fixed by Etsy.
The way I see it is that the decision makers at Etsy must be thinking that if even 2 out 10 people don't bother appealing the ban after the store is created, they've pocketed $30 in pure profit.
@@readytrivedi I've appealed probably 5 times they are not responding at all. The last appeal I told them just give me my $15 bucks back and keep it closed, no response. I violated nothing, had 1 listing of a flower I created shop immediately suspended.

You cannot open a shop from Bangladesh. You have to wait for Etsy to start allowing Bangladesh as an option, and seeing as how they stopped Indians from onboarding to Etsy now, it's highly unlikely they will bring it to Bangladesh anytime soon.
I suspect one needs much room on their credit cards when Printify starts charging. That's why this business model is not suitable for everyone.
You do need some room in your credit card. Ideally, you should have about $1000 credit to start with, because Etsy will pay you after 1 week and they may even hold back some amount as "payment reserve"
