    Things will happen, but not all players on the Mets leave you feeling as uneasy as DIAZ and OTTOVINO. I got over the Butto and Maton, but I just can never get over the DIAZ/OTTOVINO... Just way to many incidences. In fact, they made a career of it, especially in big games. Young is frightening too. My hope is that the rest of the team picks up the slack on blown confidence of the afore mentioned.

    Honestly, give me Ottavino to face Castellanos in the 9th. After Megill gets an extra life versus Bryce and walks him anyway, you’ve gotta pull the plug. See if Castellanos can lay off sweepers breaking 18’’. Figure out the 10th if you get there. Have to imagine one of Stanek or Maton can pitch a potential save situation. As-is? Swing game on Tuesday, ace on the mound, at home. Going in we wouldn’t have dared ask for better. Let’s fucking go Mets.

  • @McBlamRacing
    @McBlamRacing 3 месяца назад +1

    The loss came down to poor 2-strike pitch execution on multiple occasions and defensive mistakes. You hate to see more than one of your pitchers fail to execute that badly on 2 strikes, but that's what happened. And the Phillies just beat them. Just because you missed your spot doesn't mean some one will hit it, let alone hit it out the ball park. Stott could have easily rolled it over or cue shot it to Lindor, being out in front, than rather than rip a triple. The opposite happened yesterday where pitchers were dotting the corners and the Mets were hitting them to the outfield. It happens. Tip your cap to the Phillies just like they did to us yesterday. They are a great team in the playoffs, they have an iron jaw, and they are known for their counter punches. We knew this would not be easy. Tip your cap, say GG and get ready for game 3. This is nothing to hang your head over, let alone lose your head over. Sometimes you get beat. Plus it isn't like the Mets got beat down by any stretch of the margin. They fought back every time. They have shown all year that they can hang with the Phillies and are doing it again. Mets aren't hanging their heads over this, neither should we. In fact, I'm smirking just like Megill was because we all know they have to come back to the real concrete jungle for 2 games. LGM
